Fat and Ugly Villainess Wins Back Her Five Beast Husband
Chapter 132: Moon God Festival
Before Sora could figure out how to handle the awkward scene in front of her, she spoke again.
Hearing this, the others fell silent and all looked at Sora.
Sora cleared her throat lightly and said, "Let us decide on this matter. We’ll discuss it again tomorrow."
What else could she do?
She could only deal with the situation for now and think about the rest later. The main thing was not to let yesterday’s incident affect her strategy.
Upon hearing that Sora had already made arrangements, the others didn’t continue asking questions.
However, before leaving, they all took another glance at Sora, who was still sitting on the beast-skin blanket.
Seeing this, Sora looked down at herself.
Her face immediately became hot.
She quickly wrapped herself tightly in the beast-skin blanket and followed them out of Ace’s cave.
If she stayed there any longer, she wouldn’t be able to sleep that night.
Fortunately, after returning to her small room, everyone remained quiet and didn’t come looking for her anymore.
When Sora noticed a pile of purple mulberries wrapped in leaves and a pot filled with white milk sitting at the door, she sighed deeply.
No wonder they were so angry.
She really had chosen a bad time yesterday.
She looked at the gifts for a moment before making up her mind.
I’ll make some milk tea tomorrow to appease them.
After bringing the items back into her room, Sora fell onto her bed.
But just then, the system notification sounded.
Ding!
Congratulations, host. You have successfully strategized with Ace.
Your romantic level has reached the love level, and your gold-type abilities have increased to Level Two. A metal detector has been awarded.
In the past, whenever Sora heard about rewards, she would be quite happy.
But after a night of turmoil, even though she knew she had succeeded in her strategy, she didn’t have the energy to celebrate.
She was simply too tired.
The next day, Sora got up early.
She had originally planned to make some milk tea and talk to the others about yesterday’s incident.
However, before she could even begin, someone from Martin’s side came over.
"Kaelira, the chief wants you to purify the salt."
Sora paused.
"Now?"
"Yes. The chief said some of the salt has clumped together and needs to be processed before it rains."
Sora remembered that when Martin had brought up the salt before, he had asked her to purify it together with the tribe members.
However, the matter had been delayed because of their trip to Heavenly God Mountain, which had resulted in the salt remaining unpurified.
Sora looked up at the sky.
The sun was already out early today, so it was unlikely to rain.
However, since Martin had said so, she couldn’t refuse.
The milk tea would have to wait.
The process of purifying the salt was the same as last time.
Sora primarily divided the beastmen in the tribe into groups and told them which steps they were responsible for.
She explained each task carefully, making sure everyone understood what they needed to do before beginning.
Soon, the tribe square became busy.
The beastmen moved back and forth according to Sora’s instructions, working together to purify the salt.
Sora stood among them, carefully watching the process and correcting anything that needed to be adjusted.
Meanwhile, Damien stretched lazily and walked toward the wild kitchen.
He wanted to see how Kaelira would handle yesterday’s matter.
To his surprise, when he arrived at the wild kitchen, he didn’t see her.
He frowned slightly before turning around and walking toward the tribe square.
When he arrived, he discovered that Sora was actually directing people to purify salt.
Damien’s eyes widened slightly.
He hadn’t expected Kaelira to be able to purify salt in addition to cooking and making pottery.
Was the guidance of the Heavenly God really correct?
He crossed his arms and watched the busy figure in front of him, his thoughts drifting away.
At that moment, the voices of several females nearby reached his ears.
"Hey, have you guys noticed that Kaelira has lost a lot of weight since she came back from Heavenly God Mountain?"
"You can’t even see the thick fat on her anymore."
"Yeah. If you don’t look at her face and just look at her figure, I feel like she could participate in this year’s Moon God Festival."
"Is it really that exaggerated?"
"The Moon God Festival is to select the most beautiful female in the tribe. Would anyone notice someone like Kaelira?"
"Exactly. I think Serena is more suitable."
"Serena’s face seems a bit too pale lately, though. And I feel like she’s become too thin."
The female who was being discussed happened to be nearby.
Her eyes flashed with displeasure.
The two females continued talking without noticing the expression on her face.
"By the way, what did your beast husbands give you for the Moon God Festival?"
"What else could it be? As usual, it’s beast skin."
"That beast skin is the biggest in the tribe. Be content."
Sora paid little attention to their conversation.
She continued examining the purification process one by one.
When Clare saw her, she walked over and asked,
"Kaelira, how do you plan to spend the Moon God Festival with your beast husbands?"
"Moon God Festival?"
Sora paused.
She seemed to have just heard someone mention the festival.
Only then did she remember that the Moon God Festival was a festival for beast husbands and females.
According to what she had heard, whoever won the female’s favor could stay with her for an entire day.
Sora’s expression changed slightly.
An entire day?
How was she supposed to deal with that?
She hadn’t even figured out how to resolve yesterday’s situation, and now there was another problem.
Before she could answer, Zainabu covered her mouth and said,
"Isn’t it obvious? Of course, it’s to choose the one whose gift you like the most."
Sora immediately felt a headache coming on.
Was this meant to torture her?
The issue from yesterday hadn’t even been resolved, and now another one had appeared today.
Having more beast husbands wasn’t always a good thing.
Choosing one was yet another difficult problem.
Sora looked at the salt being purified in front of her, then glanced toward the tribe members working around her.
She suddenly felt that dealing with salt was much easier than dealing with her beast husbands.
At least salt wouldn’t become jealous.
It wouldn’t ask her why she had chosen someone else.
And it certainly wouldn’t stand outside her cave in the middle of the night demanding an explanation.
Sora rubbed her forehead.
The Moon God Festival was approaching.
And judging by the expressions of her beast husbands, she had a feeling this festival was going to be anything but peaceful.
