Fat and Ugly Villainess Wins Back Her Five Beast Husband
Chapter 127: Lively Outfit
That was why he had worked so hard to create this masterpiece.
In his opinion, it was impossible for Sora not to be attracted to him after seeing it.
If he had only exposed his muscular chest, perhaps the effect would have been even better. But then he wouldn’t have been able to display all the beautiful colors he had painstakingly gathered.
Besides, he thought, there would be plenty of opportunities for Sora to see his physique later.
There was no need to rush.
Sora, meanwhile, was having an entirely different experience.
She felt as though her eyes needed to be washed.
How could this tiger possess such horrifying fashion sense?
She had thought the strange bee-hide clothing was already the peak of bad taste.
But this?
This was on another level entirely.
The outfit looked as though someone had gathered every leftover piece of material in the entire tribe and sewn them together without thinking twice.
Sora desperately wanted to cover her eyes.
But she couldn’t.
She had a mission.
She had to capture Ace.
Who said that a beast husband delivered directly to her doorstep would be easy to capture?
This one was clearly going to test her patience.
She couldn’t possibly convince herself to kiss him while looking at that outfit.
If she had access to the internet, she would have immediately searched for advice.
Unfortunately, she was currently living in a primitive world.
There was no internet.
No fashion magazines.
No beauty guides.
No romance tutorials.
She could only figure this out herself.
Sora silently took a deep breath.
Fine.
Don’t look at the clothes.
Look at his face.
She deliberately shifted her gaze upward.
Ace’s handsome features immediately entered her sight.
Her mood finally improved slightly.
At least his face was pleasing to look at.
Much better.
Now came the real problem.
How was she supposed to capture him?
She couldn’t simply rush forward and kiss him.
That would be far too awkward.
She needed an opportunity.
A natural opportunity.
And preferably, before anything happened, that ridiculous outfit needed to disappear.
Sora stared at Ace’s face while thinking deeply.
Ace completely misunderstood her silence.
Seeing her staring at him for so long, his confidence soared.
He knew it.
She was captivated.
His plan had worked perfectly!
His eyes filled with satisfaction.
Without giving Sora any time to react, Ace stepped closer.
He lifted her chin gently and leaned toward her.
Sora’s eyes widened.
What was he doing?
She immediately raised her hand and placed it between them, stopping him before he could kiss her.
Ace froze.
His expression changed instantly.
The confidence on his face disappeared, replaced by confusion and a trace of displeasure.
"You don’t want to kiss me?"
His voice was low.
Sora blinked.
She hadn’t expected him to be so direct.
For a moment, she didn’t know how to answer.
The system, however, was practically screaming inside her mind.
Host! This is the moment! Don’t waste the opportunity!
Sora silently rolled her eyes.
Easy for the system to say.
It wasn’t the one standing face-to-face with a man wearing what looked like half the animal kingdom.
She withdrew her hand slightly and forced herself to remain calm.
Ace looked at her suspiciously.
Wasn’t Sora usually much more proactive?
Previously, she had been the one who approached him.
She had even climbed into his sleeping area without hesitation.
So why was she suddenly avoiding him now?
Could it be...
Ace’s eyes moved over his own outfit.
Was she simply too stunned by how handsome he looked?
Perhaps she had been so captivated that she had forgotten how to react.
The thought made him even more confident.
He adjusted the collar of his colorful feathered garment.
"What’s wrong?" he asked, smiling. "Don’t you like it?"
Sora stared at the outfit.
Her heart screamed.
No!
Her face, however, remained composed.
She had to endure.
After all, this was Ace.
One of the targets she needed to win over.
And if she wanted to complete the system’s strategy, she couldn’t simply reject him because of his questionable fashion choices.
Sora slowly lowered her hand.
Then she looked directly into Ace’s eyes.
The two stood silently at the doorway.
Ace’s gaze was confident.
Sora’s was calculating.
Neither of them realized that, at that moment, they were already playing completely different games.
Ace thought he had finally taken the initiative.
Sora was desperately trying to figure out how to turn the situation to her advantage.
Finally, Sora’s eyes flickered.
An idea appeared in her mind.
If Ace wanted to approach her...
Then perhaps she didn’t need to resist.
Perhaps she could simply change the direction of the situation.
Her gaze slowly moved over his colorful outfit once more.
A faint smile appeared on her lips.
"Come inside first."
Ace’s eyes immediately brightened.
He thought he had succeeded.
He followed her into the room without hesitation.
Sora walked ahead, secretly trying to suppress her amusement.
She had to admit something.
The system’s timing was terrible.
But perhaps...
It wasn’t completely wrong.
Ace had actually come to her door on his own.
That alone meant his feelings toward her had already changed.
Now she only needed to find the right opening.
And if she could somehow get that ridiculous outfit off him first...
Everything would become much easier.
Behind her, Ace watched her back with growing anticipation.
He had no idea that Sora was already planning her next move.
He only knew one thing.
Tonight, he had finally gathered enough courage to take the initiative.
And judging from Sora’s reaction, perhaps he wasn’t as far from success as he had feared.
Neither of them noticed the faint system notification that quietly appeared in Sora’s mind.
Ding!
Target Ace’s attraction value has fluctuated.
Sora’s footsteps paused.
Her eyes narrowed slightly.
So it had begun.
She turned her head and looked at Ace.
The leopard beastman was still wearing that dazzlingly terrible outfit.
Sora sighed inwardly.
All right.
For the sake of the mission...
She would endure.
But first, she needed to figure out how to make this man understand that colorful did not necessarily mean beautiful.
That would be a battle for another day.
For now, she had a much more important strategy to complete.
Ace had come willingly.
And she wasn’t going to let such an opportunity slip away.
