Fat and Ugly Villainess Wins Back Her Five Beast Husband

Chapter 119: Curiosity Caught A Beastman

  • Next Chapter

Although this was Xavier’s first time doing this kind of work, he quickly got the hang of it.

His powerful body made the task much easier than it would have been for an ordinary beastman.

Before long, he had completely covered the woven branch framework with the prepared mud.

The rough shape of the oven had already emerged.

Sora walked around it several times, carefully inspecting every section.

She nodded with satisfaction.

"Not bad."

Xavier looked at her.

"Are you satisfied?"

"Yes."

That single word seemed to make all his effort worthwhile.

However, the mud still needed time to dry.

Sora wasn’t interested in waiting for several days.

She quietly activated her ability.

A faint energy flowed from her body.

The moisture inside the mud began to separate and evaporate.

The sun was already strong during this season, and combined with Sora’s ability, the drying process became much faster.

Before long, the outer layer was nearly dry.

Sora pressed her palm against the clay surface.

After confirming that it had reached the proper hardness, she stood up.

"It’s ready."

Xavier looked at her curiously.

"What now?"

"We burn the framework."

Sora gathered several stones and arranged them beside the oven.

She built a small fire and picked up a wooden stick.

After lighting its end, she carefully brought it toward the woven branches.

The dry framework quickly caught fire.

Flames spread across the branches, consuming the entire structure from within.

Sora and Xavier waited patiently.

As the branches burned away, the mud shell remained standing.

Eventually, the last pieces of wood collapsed into ash.

What remained was an empty, hollow oven.

Sora smiled.

"Perfect."

She picked up a stick and carefully poked a small opening into the top of the dome.

"That will be the chimney."

She then gathered another batch of yellow clay and built a short chimney around the opening.

This would allow smoke to escape while keeping the heat concentrated inside.

The final step was the oven door.

Sora looked toward Xavier.

"We need a thick wooden board."

Xavier immediately understood.

He turned toward the nearby trees.

With his strength, chopping down a suitable tree took almost no time.

He cut the wood into thick boards and quickly fashioned them into a door that could cover most of the oven opening.

Sora inspected it.

Then she smiled.

The bread oven was complete.

Normally, an oven like this would require several days to dry properly before it could be used.

But with Sora’s water-type ability, she could extract much of the remaining moisture.

After a sufficient period of drying, it would be ready.

Xavier wiped the dirt from his hands and looked at the finished oven.

He was a little tired.

But when he saw the satisfied expression on Sora’s face, his exhaustion seemed insignificant.

At least he had finally appeased this troublesome little ancestor.

Sora stood before the newly completed oven, her eyes shining with anticipation.

A bread oven.

In this beast world, where most people still relied on simple fire pits and stone cooking methods, this was going to be something completely new.

And if Ryan really was interested in knowledge and unusual inventions...

Sora’s smile deepened.

She had just found the perfect way to get his attention.

After finishing the bread oven, Xavier felt a little tired, but when he saw Sora’s happy expression, a satisfied smile appeared on his face.

Finally, he had managed to appease this little ancestor.

He washed the dirt from his hands and was just about to approach Sora when she suddenly frowned thoughtfully.

"Xavier, do you know where I can find milk?"

Milk was one of the most important ingredients for making a cake.

Sora hadn’t seen a single cow around the tribe, and this had been troubling her ever since she decided to make one.

Xavier often went outside the tribe, so perhaps he had encountered some before.

"Milk?"

Xavier raised an eyebrow.

"What do you need that for? It tastes very pungent. We only drink it when there’s a calf around."

Sora’s eyes immediately lit up.

"So you know where to find it?"

Xavier nodded.

"There are usually some cows grazing on the hillside not far from here. Do you want me to get some for you?"

Sora smiled brightly.

"Then help me get some. I’ll make you a cake when you come back."

The moment Xavier heard that there would be another delicious food, he didn’t hesitate.

"Okay."

He picked up a clay pot from the wild kitchen and headed toward the hillside.

After Xavier left, Sora glanced at the newly built bread oven.

It was still too fresh to use immediately.

She gathered some dry wood and started a small fire nearby, allowing the oven to slowly dry from the heat.

While waiting, she began thinking about the other ingredients she needed.

More importantly, she had to find a way to make Ryan notice the bread oven.

If she wanted to increase her attraction and interest in his eyes, she couldn’t simply wait around.

There was no way around it.

If the mountain wouldn’t come to her, she would have to go to the mountain.

Sora thought for a moment before quietly activating her abilities.

She soon sensed Ryan’s presence.

He was currently at the hot spring.

If she remembered correctly, there were quite a few kiwi trees growing around that area.

Adding kiwi to the cake would make it even more delicious.

With that thought, Sora slung a basket over her arm and headed toward the hot spring.

Although her real intention was to attract Ryan’s attention and make him curious about her new invention, she genuinely wanted some kiwis too.

Once she reached the vicinity of the hot spring, Sora deliberately avoided looking toward the spring.

Instead, she walked directly toward the kiwi trees.

Being too obvious would only arouse suspicion.

A subtle approach was much better.

Besides, the kiwis growing here were surprisingly good.

Sora’s eyes sparkled as she picked them.

They were large, firm, and fragrant.

Meanwhile, Ryan was relaxing in the hot spring.

When he suddenly noticed a familiar figure approaching, he glanced over.

The moment he recognized Sora, his expression changed.

That ugly female again?

Ryan immediately remembered their previous encounter at the hot spring.

His brows furrowed, and he instinctively sank deeper into the water.

Surely she hadn’t come here to find him again?

However, after waiting for a while, Ryan realized something strange.

Sora didn’t even look in his direction.

She simply walked past him and headed toward the kiwi trees.

Ryan’s expression became puzzled.

What was she doing here?

Then he heard Sora’s delighted voice.

"These kiwis are so good."

Ryan’s ears immediately perked up.

"With these, I can make a delicious cake in my newly made bread oven."

Bread oven?

Ryan’s eyes narrowed slightly.

What was that?

What could a bread oven make?

And what exactly was this cake Sora kept mentioning?

He had never heard of either thing before.

Could it be that she had created something new again?

The thought immediately stirred his curiosity.

This was the only thing that consistently interested Ryan about Sora.

Her strange and ingenious inventions.

Everything else about her was largely irrelevant to him.

But whenever she created something he’d never seen before, he couldn’t help wanting to understand how it worked.
