Farming Family's Pocket Dimension: A Charmed Little Lady Comes to Farm
Chapter 327: I’ll Make You Owe Me
Gu Fei’s heart skipped a beat. She stared at the gun on the table in terror. "Young Master Heir, this thing could go off by accident. Could you please not be so rough with it next time?"
Xiao Yu gritted his teeth, glaring at Gu Fei. ’Is this girl even listening to me?!’
Gu Fei slanted a look at Xiao Yu. "You really don’t want it?"
Xiao Yu snorted. "I don’t want it!"
Gu Fei said with a sigh of resignation, "Then how would you have me repay your favor, Young Master Heir?"
Xiao Yu sneered. "Are you that desperate to be clear of my favor?"
"Well, I refuse! I’m going to make you stay indebted to me!"
Gu Fei blinked. "This is the one and only Blood Drop in the world. You couldn’t buy it for any amount of silver. Young Master Heir, I’m only offering because I’m in a good mood today. This is your only chance; you won’t get another!"
Though his heart was bleeding, Xiao Yu’s expression remained coolly indifferent. "What’s so special about it? It’s just a hidden weapon. When I say I don’t want it, I mean it."
"I’m hungry. Go cook me a few dishes. I’m eating here!"
Gu Fei had no other choice. She put away the gun and the magazine from the table.
The two of them walked out into the main hall. Xiao Yu found a table, sat down, and shot a glance at Gu Fei. "Go cook. And remember, I want something on the lighter side."
Gu Fei could only retreat to the kitchen. Following Xiao Yu’s instructions, she prepared a few light dishes.
Gu Fei only emerged from the kitchen after all the dishes had been brought out.
Xiao Yu was still sitting there. The table was laden with food, but he hadn’t touched a single dish.
Just as Gu Fei was about to slip away to the counter, Xiao Yu glanced at her. "Come here. Eat with me."
Gu Fei walked over, forcing a laugh. "Well, Young Master Heir, this humble establishment doesn’t offer... dining companions. Perhaps you’d be more comfortable eating on your own."
"What’s this? Are you backing out of repaying my favor?" Xiao Yu asked, narrowing his eyes at her.
Resigned, Gu Fei sat down. ’It’s only a little past eleven,’ she thought. ’How am I supposed to eat anything?’
She had just picked up her chopsticks when she saw Young Master Zhou walk through the door. Gu Fei was about to greet him, but as soon as he spotted Xiao Yu, he shot her a few meaningful looks, grinned, and then beat a hasty retreat.
Gu Fei picked at her food distractedly. ’I was planning to keep my distance from Xiao Yu after this,’ she thought, ’but judging by the way he’s acting, that’s going to be impossible.’
She sighed. ’If this keeps up, I’m afraid there will be many more incidents like the time I was suddenly summoned and humiliated by the Princess Consort.’
’What am I going to do about him?’
Xiao Yu had only taken a few bites when he heard Gu Fei’s heavy sighs. His eyes landed on her face. He saw her elegant brows furrowed slightly and her lovely eyes downcast, the very image of someone with a heavy heart.
It felt as if his own heart was twisting into a knot right along with her furrowed brows.
Xiao Yu set his chopsticks down with a CLACK. "What’s with all the sighing? Does eating with me make you that miserable?"
Gu Fei forced a smile. "Of course not. I was just thinking about something else."
Xiao Yu’s lips tightened. "Are you still worried about my mother, the Princess Consort? Rest assured, she won’t bother you again."
Gu Fei hummed distractedly in response.
Xiao Yu was about to say something else, but just then, Xiao Lu began guiding diners in through the entrance.
He fell silent and continued eating without another word.
The restaurant quickly started to fill up with customers. With no one at the counter and Lian’er also busy serving guests, Gu Fei grew antsy. She forced down a few more bites before standing up. "I’m going to the counter to handle the payments. Please, enjoy your meal."
Without waiting for his reply, she turned and headed for the counter.
Xiao Yu completely lost his appetite. He shoveled down a few more bites, then rose and walked over to the counter, his face grim. "I’m leaving now. I’ll be back when I’m free."
"Young Master Heir—" Gu Fei called after him. "You should really take those boxes back with you."
