Xiao Yu’s face suddenly reddened. He turned and shot Stone a fierce glare. ’Since when can you call her Miss Xiao Fei?’

Stone was baffled. ’What’s wrong? Miss Xiao Fei *is* good-looking!’

Xiao Yu urged his horse toward Gu Fei, but after just a couple of steps, he suddenly stopped.

Gu Fei had already turned and walked away. She carried a Five-Colored Glazed Lamp in her hand, and to his surprise, a young nobleman walked beside her.

Xiao Yu recognized the figure’s back in a single glance. It was Su Chen!

Xiao Yu’s expression instantly darkened. He stared fixedly at their backs, watching as Su Chen occasionally turned to sneak a glance at Gu Fei or spoke to her in a low voice.

Xiao Yu abruptly wheeled his horse around, dug his heels into its belly, and the horse shot off at a gallop.

Stone and Zhuzi hastily turned their horses to follow.

Seeing Xiao Yu’s speed, Stone grew panicked and shouted at the top of his lungs, "Young Master Heir, it’s crowded! You have to keep it under control! Don’t go so fast, you might hit someone!"

After galloping for a stretch, Xiao Yu heard Stone’s shout and pulled on the reins, slowing his horse.

Stone caught up, panting as he asked, "Young Master Heir, didn’t we say we were heading to Bright Moon Bridge? Where are you going?"

Xiao Yu replied icily, "Back to the manor!"

’My lord, the Lantern Festival only comes once a year! The streets are finally full of pretty girls, and I was hoping to feast my eyes. Why are we going back now?!’

The horses had gone a short distance when Xiao Yu suddenly pulled the reins again.

He sharply wheeled his horse around once more, rode for a stretch, and turned onto another road.

After several turns, Xiao Yu finally steered back onto the road along the Jinshui River, though now he was heading in the opposite direction from before.

He slowed his horse and looked ahead, spotting the young pair in the distance slowly walking toward him.

Seeing that the Young Master Heir was no longer galloping, Stone was once again in the mood to stare at the young ladies on the road.

As he was looking, Stone suddenly exclaimed, "Huh? Why is Young Master Su with Miss Xiao Fei?"

Xiao Yu sneered. "Then let’s go have a look."

The three horses swaggered down the middle of the road, forcing pedestrians to scatter.

Gu Fei suddenly saw several horses approaching. She moved to the side of the road and looked over.

On the lead horse sat a young man with sharp brows and bright eyes. He wore a purple-gold crown, a kesi silk brocade robe, and a black sable cloak. Though young, he radiated an imposing aura.

’What a handsome young master! Why does he look so familiar?’

Gu Fei froze for a moment, then quickly turned her head away and lifted her glazed lamp to hide her face. ’Oh no, this is bad! Isn’t that the young master who insisted on buying her Blood Drop?!’

’Is it too late to turn and run?’

Xiao Yu had been staring at Gu Fei the whole time, and seeing her actions made the anger simmering inside him boil over.

He urged his horse closer to the pair. Looking down at Su Chen from his saddle, he said coldly, "What a fine mood you’re in, cousin. Your injuries haven’t even fully healed, yet you’re already out enjoying the lanterns with a young lady."

Gu Fei was shocked that Su Chen actually knew this unnamed young master. No, it wasn’t just that they knew each other—they were cousins!

Su Chen hadn’t expected to run into Xiao Yu. He could only cup his hands in a salute. "Brother Yu, you’re out enjoying the lanterns too?"

Xiao Yu stared at Gu Fei and sneered, "This young lady... she looks awfully familiar."

Hearing Xiao Yu’s words, Gu Fei had no choice but to lower the lamp. She gave him a curtsy and a dry laugh. "Blessings to you, Young Master."

Xiao Yu acted as if he had only just now gotten a clear look at her, his expression softening slightly. "Ah, so it’s Miss Xiao Fei."

Su Chen paused, stunned. "Brother Yu, you know Little Fei?"

Only then did Xiao Yu dismount. He said lightly, "Not only do I know her, but you could say our fates are quite intertwined. Isn’t that right, Miss Xiao Fei?"
