Extra's Path To Demon King

Chapter 600: Inviolable...

"Blurgghhhhhh"

"Agrrrh...."

Axel coughed up an unhealthy amount of black blood; without his two hearts, it felt like his mind was flickering between life and death.

Only the impossible tenacity of his Ancestral Demonic bloodline kept him alive by some unknown means, and even that was only possible because he was a complete Demon at the moment; otherwise, no creature on this continent could survive after losing a heart.

Even the mighty Dragons could not manage such a feat.

Most could never even pierce the Dragons' scales in the first place.

The King's Consort crushed the grotesque demonic heart in her hand, and Umbra crushed the demonic heart in his hand as well.

A mental shock reverberated through Axel's psyche, threatening to send his consciousness into oblivion as more blood rushed out of his orifices. It painted his face black.

A string of warning words from Prime echoed in his ears, but he wasn't in the right mind to understand or read them; his transformation came undone, and the Demon bloodline regenerated his two hearts to keep him alive.

Axel returned to his Human form, looking frail compared to his strengthened demonic state.

Axel's face was starkly pale.

The weight of his hopeless situation settled on him like prey caught in a predator's trap. A group of predators had been waiting in ambush for a long, long time; worst of all, Axel hadn't known who the enemy was until now.

He never expected it to be the King's Concubine who had been scheming against him; that she was secretly a 5th phase entity and a Dark Elf at that.

And Mason Vex? he was merely an accomplice, not the main perpetrator.

The Dark Elven Concubine spoke aloud, "What a pity, those bastards really escaped quite fast, and the teleportation actually leads outside of the Human borders; how annoying!"

The Runecaster glared viciously at the concubine. But internally, he was glad to hear the news, because he couldn't tell whether his minions and his father had escaped successfully.

Seeing the slight relief in Axel's expression, the hands of the Female dark elf clasped tightly around his throat; she leaned in and whispered darkly, "Don't be so glad, Axel Nomrad. You're the main prize after all; getting my hands on you was my main priority in the first place."

Axel's thick black killing intent burst out; he still couldn't figure out how this bitch tracked him, set a trap like this, or knew in advance that the Demon would come and attack the Dusker family. Still, for the Concubine to know that, she also needed to know Axel was indeed Osiris, but that should be impossible.

After all, even the 6th-phase Kings did not know Osiris's true identity.

Seeing Axel's mind race to figure out the current situation, Runa Suncrest added with a soft chuckle, "I can see your mind racing, Nomrad Heir, hmmm, or do you prefer to be called Osiris?"

She laughed, "You're curious about how we set this trap?"

"How did we know that you were the demon Osiris? Right?"

The Runecaster continued to stare coldly at the Concubine; meanwhile, her tone turned Dark. "Did you think I would not know that it was you who killed my child?"

Then her tone turned light once more. "Though you did only kill the one useless child of mine, Luther, and the other two were Leonidas's children but not born out of my womb."

"My only precious child who inherited the dark elven bloodline, the third princess, I've sent her to Elven lands long ago. Growing up in this barren wasteland would have hurt her true potential very much," said Concubine as if rambling to herself rather than saying it to Axel.

At this moment, the Umbra suddenly interjected, "Princess, there is no need for you to reveal such information to this trash!!"

Runa's eyes narrowed; she questioned, "Trash?? This demon?"

The concubine said to the Umbra coldly, "Observe this boy, Umbra; he is merely a late third-phase seeker, and he had killed a late 5th-phase seeker who could manifest his Innate Territory. Although he was a Human, the Duke was relatively strong."

The Umbra's hand trembled. He removed the black bandages covering his face, revealing that he was also a Dark Elf. He stared at Axel Nomrad with a serious look upon sensing that he was indeed but a 3rd-phase seeker.

He then said in a respectful tone, "I apologise, princess. I have spoken wrongly, and this demon is indeed too dangerous to be left alive."

Meanwhile, Axel's mind was in a storm; so much new information was revealed to him- things that he had no idea of before: the prospect of the third princess being alive, the Concubine secretly being Dark Elven royalty from the way the Umbra was addressing her.

And then the Umbra himself being a Dark Elf under the concubine's command.

For a moment, countless doubts began to bloom in his mind, about this very world itself, about the story that he once read, how much of it was right and how much of it was wrong at this point.

And this wasn't even the first time this happened; during key events, so many perspectives turned out completely different or were entirely unaddressed in the original story.

He asked through gritted teeth, struggling against the concubine's grip on his throat, "Does… King Leonidas know this?? That you're a damned dark elf!!!"

Runa's attention came back to the Runecaster; she scoffed, "Of course he knows; why else do you think the bastard values me so much?"

Then she grinned and revealed, "Now, back to the main point, I must say, though, you hid your identity quite well."

"But there were a few mistakes you made; the first was the vault of the Vex household. It was always on you, and it was not too difficult to track its location through my Dark Elven sorcery."

"Second, your continuous cooperation with the Hand of Umbra. The story you told about Damien Nomrad sending a demon to protect the Nomrad family? What utter nonsense that was, truly."

"Third, through Lebron, the boy with the two souls, the Umbra was able to track much of your activities sometimes, since the other soul ', Luke', was not corrupted by you," revealed the concubine one by one as her hand gripped tighter and tighter around his neck.

Almost choking him. But Axel continued to stare coldly towards the Concubine with a murderous gaze; no matter how strongly he was choked, his eyes did not falter, not even in the slightest.

Eventually, a sigh escaped the Dark Elf's lips, and she said, "Now, for the reason why I am revealing all of this to you?"

She continued, letting go of his throat, but a wave of power still kept Axel afloat in mid-air. "As you are Osiris, you should already know what is going on with the Elven Empire."

"The Serpentine race and we of the Dark Elven race intend to overthrow the rule of the High Elves; hence the reason I am here, to get the extra help from the 6th phase Kings of humanity."

"So, in the coming conflict, someone as resourceful as you, someone with as much potential and power as you, who could almost drive all of humanity into near extinction with his plans, someone like you would be greatly helpful."

Then the Concubine declared in a commanding tone, "So, Axel Nomrad, submit to me… make a demonic contract of complete servitude, swear your eternal loyalty to me upon your very bloodline source and KNEEL...."

"And only then shall I spare your life…"

What followed the Dark Elven Concubine's words was a deafening silence in the skies; only the roaring waves of wind brushing against the four individuals' bodies could be heard.

A subtle smile formed on his lips, then turned into a grin, and he let out a bark of mad laughter....

HEH...

...HEH...

HEEE-HA-HA-HA...

...HA-HA-HA-HAAAH!

The Runecaster's laughter started in his human voice. Still, the tone soon turned demonic, and the Nomrad Heir's cackle grew more disturbing as the seconds ticked by, madness and cruelty overflowing with each breath.

Eventually, his laughter stopped, and he proclaimed in his Demonic Voice, "I may be weak and helpless at the moment, but remember this, Runa Suncrest…"

"There is nothing beneath or above the heavens… in this world."

"Or any existence that can make me, Axel Nomrad, submit…"

"There is nothing within or beyond the confines of Eldarion who can make me, Osiris, to…. KNEEL."

"Even if the Demon Emperor himself were to use all of his Absolute Invincibility, he cannot make me submit."

"Because my Will is inviolable, unsubmissable… as well as tyrannical."

"THAT IS THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH, CARVE THOSE WORDS INTO YOUR VERY SOUL IF YOU HAVE TO."

Axel shook his head, almost in disappointment, and added, "The very fact that you are insinuating that possibility is beyond insulting, you fucking worthless whore, damned low intellect, wretched Dark Elven bitch."
