Evolving My Undead Legion In A Game-Like World
Chapter 1253 Real Vs Copy [2]
Michael turned his head slightly.
Of all the undead standing beside him, Beginning was the one whose battle intent was the most obvious. The giant was still in his human form for now, looking almost calm on the surface, but Michael could feel the violent "excitement" rolling beneath it.
Beginning had always been like this. The stronger the opponent, the "happier" he became.
Michael's lips curled upward.
"Go at it, boy."
Beginning looked toward him.
"Let's try that method."
Beginning nodded, then moved.
The first step sent ripples racing across the black water. The second shattered the stillness entirely.
Beginning accelerated straight toward the mirrored army. For the first few hundred meters, he remained in his smaller form.
Then his body burst apart.
His flesh and bones exploded outward in a violent spray, as though some invisible force had torn him apart from the inside.
And almost immediately, everything returned.
His bones reformed along with his flesh. But Beginning didn't return at the same size. His body expanded rapidly. By the time the regeneration finished, Beginning had become a fifty-meter giant. His aura rose with him.
The pressure around Beginning had become much heavier. But he didn't stop running.
Another stretch of distance disappeared beneath his feet.
Then his body burst apart again.
Boom!
This time, the explosion was even more violent. Chunks of flesh and bone scattered across the black water before being dragged back together almost instantly.
Beginning regenerated again, becoming larger and stronger. His body climbed to a hundred meters.
The pressure rolling from him became oppressive enough that several weaker undead behind Michael instinctively shifted.
At this stage, Beginning's aura had already reached a ridiculous level. It reminded Michael of Lucky when he had evolved to Epic ★★★. One had to know that Beginning was still only Extraordinary ★★★. A complete major grade below Epic.
Yet through his Law and this method of self-destruction, repeatedly destroying and rebuilding himself instead of accumulating injuries, his aura had climbed, at the cost of a ridiculous amount of energy, until it could already rival Michael's strongest Epic undead.
Beginning continued running. The distance between both armies had already been cut in half.
When he reached the midpoint, his body exploded for the third time.
The black ocean beneath him collapsed downward from the force. For hundreds of meters around, water was blasted away, exposing a hollow abyss before the surrounding ocean rushed back inward.
Beginning's enormous form vanished completely inside the explosion. When he appeared again, Beginning rose above the black ocean like a moving mountain, his current height at two hundred meters.
His aura erupted alongside a roar.
Michael's expression changed as a chill ran through his body.
"This pressure…"
It couldn't compare to the female Demigod before her death. But the current Beginning had gone far beyond normal Rank Four.
"Demigod…"
At this moment, Beginning possessed Demigod-level battle prowess.
However, there was no joy on Michael's face.
Across the battlefield…
The other Beginning had done the exact same thing.
First destruction. Fifty meters.
Second destruction. A hundred.
Third destruction. Two hundred.
Every stage. Every burst of regeneration. Every increase in aura.
Perfectly mirrored.
The reflected Beginning now stood opposite the real one at the exact same height.
Two hundred meters.
Its aura was equally terrifying. Equally violent. Equally far beyond Rank Four.
The two giants reached each other. Neither slowed or dodged. Both drew back one arm at exactly the same moment.
Michael felt the pressure from their fists before they even collided.
BOOOOOOM!
The black ocean detonated.
For several kilometers around the point of impact, the water was blown away completely. A massive wall of black liquid rose toward the dark sky. The shockwave tore across the battlefield. Undead on both sides were thrown backward. The air itself seemed to compress and burst.
Michael raised one arm instinctively as the force reached him. Even from hundreds of meters away, his clothes snapped violently against his body. His hair whipped backward.
And in the center of it all, the two Beginnings remained locked fist against fist, both refusing to move back.
Michael stared at them. Then at the mirrored version of himself standing far beyond them.
The fake Michael stared back.
Michael's battle intent surged. The sight of Beginning matching his reflection head-on, both sides already displaying power beyond normal Rank Four, only made the excitement inside him burn hotter.
His eyes sharpened.
"Go!"
The order rang across the black ocean.
The undead army behind him moved instantly. Thousands charged forward at once. The still water beneath them erupted into countless waves as heavy footsteps, claws, wings, and bursts of mana shattered the silence.
At the front of the aerial forces, the Undead High Drake's human form shot into the sky like an arrow. Halfway upward, its body began transforming. Within moments, the humanoid silhouette was gone, replaced by an enormous crimson draconic body. Two massive wings snapped open. The force sent a storm sweeping across the battlefield.
The reflected High Drake did the same.
Two gigantic crimson figures climbed into the dark sky from opposite sides, then collided.
BOOM!
Their claws slammed together. The shockwave rippled through the sky.
Neither stopped. Their jaws opened almost simultaneously. Two torrents of destructive fire energy met at point-blank range. The explosion lit the black sky red.
Behind them, the Undead Bone Dragon and Bone Wyvern had joined the battlefield to fight their reflections. They all crashed into one another. Claws scraped against reinforced bone. Tails whipped through the air. Their collision produced a sound like mountains grinding together.
Within seconds, the sky had become another battlefield entirely.
Dragon against dragon. Wyvern against wyvern. Undead against undead.
And below…
The rest of the army collided. The black ocean disappeared beneath them. Thousands of bodies slammed into their reflections. Magic erupted in every direction.
The battlefield became chaos almost instantly.
Michael watched from behind as he retreated. The energy surrounding him was becoming increasingly violent. Mana gathered around his body in thick waves. The black water beneath his feet began trembling before he even moved.
Michael took several steps backward, increasing the distance between himself and the main clash.
His gaze remained fixed on the reflected Michael.
The other Michael was doing the same retreating as they both gathered energy.
Michael's smile widened.
"Of course you are."
The mana around him surged harder.
