Evolution Online: My 10,000× Reward System Multiplies Everything
Chapter 33: Spending 3.5 Million Dollars on a Limited Edition Koenigsegg Regera
After getting a refund of fifty thousand dollars from the hotel, from his initial deposit of a hundred and fifty thousand dollars after not spending the full month there, Kaelen entered a cab and gave the driver the address of KMT Cars from the magazine, while making a mental note that this would be his second and last time using public transport.
Since Cindra was going to be late, and he wasn’t hungry, he decided to go pick up his first whip before anything else.
In a few minutes, the cab pulled up before the car dealership, and he stepped through the doors of the luxury car dealership dressed in a jumpsuit, looking like a random passerby.
The front desk receptionists only spared him a glance before losing interest and kept gisting amongst themselves.
Kaelen wasn’t bothered by this. He had seen worse as a slime in a world of predators, and always came out on top with a 100% win rate.
He walked up to the reception desk and waited for them to notice him.
"Uhh... Good day, sir. How may I help you today?" One of the ladies sized Kaelen up before asking less professionally.
"Are you here to check out our new Honda series?" the other lady asked with a smile.
Kaelen shook his head before slapping the magazine on the desk and tapping the red sports car on display.
"I’m here to buy a Koenigsegg Regera."
"W-What?" The two ladies stared from the magazine to Kaelen, and back to the magazine.
"I’m sorry, sir, you can’t buy this."
"And why’s that?" Kaelen asked with a raised brow.
"This is a Koenigsegg, sir. There are only seven of them across all nine strongholds, and they’re only up for auction. We only sell these to VIP customers, and uhmm..." Her lips twitched as she looked him up and down.
"But you can always check out our budget-friendly Honda series—"
Kaelen exhaled softly, as the words of the salesperson went in through one ear and escaped through the other.
"Name your price."
"W-What?"
"Name your price. Tell me the starting price of the Koenigsegg Regera, and I’ll double it."
"Sir, we can’t do that—"
"Is it a hundred grand? Maybe two hundred?"
The salesperson almost laughed at Kaelen’s price range, and a victorious smile spread across her face.
"It’s 3.5 million dollars, sir," she said like it was the most satisfying comeback she’d ever made. "Would you like to check out our budget-friendly—"
"Ten million dollars." Kaelen said and slapped his black card on the desk. "Ten million dollars, excluding additional charges, which I’d gladly pay. You have my card," Kaelen said with a sweet smirk.
Contrary to what he expected from the salesperson, the moment her eyes landed on the card sitting on the desk, her expression immediately changed from cocky to ashen.
"I-I’m sorry, sir," she quickly bowed respectfully to Kaelen, her attitude taking a one-eighty-degree turn. "I’ll inform the manager right away," she said and quickly scurried off.
Kaelen was confused and stared at the second lady, who was already looking down, avoiding his gaze, with her hands clasped nervously in front of her pencil skirt.
In a few moments, the sharp sound of clicking heels came from down the hallway, and Kaelen turned to see the salesperson walking behind a tall, elegant lady with professional glasses.
As soon as she arrived before Kaelen, her eyes first went to the black card still lying on the desk before she made a curt bow.
"Welcome to the KMT Car Dealership. My name’s Helen, and I’m the managing director of this establishment," she said and stretched out her hand for a handshake.
Kaelen stared at her for a moment before taking her hand. But he didn’t return the courtesy of exchanging names. He was the most wanted man across the nine strongholds at the moment.
"Good thing you came down. I was just told I couldn’t buy the car I wanted." He went straight to the point.
Helen smiled professionally, sneaking a side-eye at the sales lady before replying.
"Luxury cars such as the Koenigsegg are reserved for auctions and VIP clients such as yourself. I’m sorry you had to see this unprofessional side of my establishment, but we’re willing to sell you any car you want with an additional five-year warranty," Helen said professionally.
"Alright, then. Let’s see the Koenigsegg."
As soon as Kaelen was taken to the car showcase, he didn’t need to step inside to know he was going home with the red-on-red Koenigsegg Regera.
He jumped into the driver’s seat and was even more impressed with its interior.
"Can I take it for a test drive?" Kaelen asked excitedly.
"Yes, of course. But our policy requires you to pay 60% upfront—"
Before Helen could finish speaking, Kaelen was already waving his card at her.
"I’d like to make full payment right now."
Helen laughed awkwardly.
"I’m sorry, sir, we can’t take card payments at the moment. If you wouldn’t mind doing a wire transfer, we’ll prepare the papers for you right away."
Kaelen didn’t mind. Aside from the potential hundred billion dollars in his Evolution Points balance, he already had one billion dollars in his specialized bank account. More than enough to buy a hundred Koenigseggs and still have change to buy a thirty-million-dollar penthouse.
He swiftly wired the 3.5 million dollars without the bank flagging his transaction, and signed the papers for the car, making it officially his.
But there were some things Kaelen had opted for in the contract that required him to leave the car behind for a few days before it was shipped to his home address.
So Kaelen could only go on a test drive with the Koenigsegg Regera around the city, and Helen offered to go with him.
But as soon as Kaelen pressed the button to start the car, he realized a vital problem. He had never driven a car before, let alone had a driver’s license.
How hard could it be?
Kaelen stepped on the gas and was thrown back into his seat, but managed to brake in time before the Koenigsegg rammed through the showroom glass of the dealership.
Helen stared at him dumbfoundedly.
"S-Sir, you don’t know how to drive a car?" she asked in surprise.
Don’t look at me like that. I’m only nineteen.
"I always had a driver take me wherever I went," Kaelen laughed sheepishly as he scratched his head.
"Would you like me to teach you?"
Kaelen was taken aback and turned to stare at Helen, who was looking at him now with a teasing smile.
"That would be great... I guess."
But as soon as he said that, contrary to the long list of things Kaelen might have expected to happen next, Helen stepped out of the passenger side and walked around the car before opening the driver’s door.
"What are you doing?"
Helen bent down beside the door, smoothing her skirt as she leaned in and looked up at him with an amused smile.
"Would you mind... making space for me in there... sir?
