Step. Step.

"You know that was stupid. You practically told them we are here," Amanda said with her arms crossed over her chest in an annoyed tone.

"I think it does not matter, as we are already here," Amber commented as the ice around her body retreated.

On the ground, the army of about 100 soldiers had disappeared, and blood now flowed like a great river, moving among the rocks with every shaking of the ground.

"Let’s go," Victor said as he stared at the iron gate, clenching his fist.

Bang!

"After you, my..." Victor punched the gate away and was about to gesture for the ladies to enter, but suddenly, he felt a little bit of something, and his pupils contracted to the size of needles as he ran inside.

"Mm?"

The moment Victor used his detection skills, his face changed instantly, and his expression darkened immediately when he sensed many life forms on the verge of fading. But what made him grim was the despairing aura around them, which could only be formed due to extreme suffering.

"Darling, what happened? Your face is a bit scary," Amber asked with unease, as this was the first time she had seen him make such an expression.

"Let’s go. You will find out when we go inside, so be mentally prepared," Victor said as everyone looked at each other uneasily and then nodded.

"Uh...?" Amber wanted to say something, but in the end, she simply nodded as she saw the serious expression on her husband’s face. "Okay."

Victor stared at the building before walking towards it. However, when he opened the door and the rotten smell from inside hit his face, Victor felt his stomach churn, even though he was used to the smell of blood and intestines given his fighting style.

Even though he knew he might encounter something like this, when Victor saw the scene inside the small building, he felt a surge of anger so strong that it threatened to drive him to madness.

As if they were cattle, the bodies of men and women alike hung from hooks falling from the ceiling. Heads with protruding eyes and no noses or peeled lips, half-cut limbs, internal organs, layers of skin... The sight was at least 1,000 times worse than the smell of rotting flesh.

There were young women, adult women, old people, small children, and even the fetus of what appeared to be a baby taken from its mother’s womb before birth.

Victor gritted his teeth so hard that blood began to spurt from inside his mouth like crazy, but his red eyes remained wide open as he looked at the scene in front of him as if he wanted to engrave it deeply into his heart.

"Blegh." Rina could not withstand the sight of such cruelty and immediately moved to the side and emptied her stomach in the corner. No one said anything, as everyone was furious upon seeing the sight before them. Even the usually cold Amber and Amanda were furious beyond words.

"These bastards..." Grace said through gritted teeth as tears streamed from her eyes. She recognized every one of them; they were all members of her tribe.

Bang!

"Damn it... I knew they were doing something, but I never imagined this... I will wipe out the Spark Duchy’s bloodline," Watson punched the wall as it cracked and bit his lips until they bled.

"You knew..." Victor looked at Watson and asked in a cold voice.

"Yes. When we were captured, they used to take infants, men, and women with them who never returned... I thought at worst they were being raised as slaves, but I never expected this. From the looks of it, they seemed to be experimenting on them," Watson said with bloodshot eyes.

"These Spark Duchy bastards, they are even more despicable than I thought. If it was Magical Beasts who committed such atrocities, I could understand, but fellow humans..." Amanda said with clenched fists.

Victor then moved towards the last five women, who had grotesque appearances due to the torture and were on the verge of death.

All five were women, but they were no longer whole. One of them had had her legs torn off, one had had an eye and an arm taken off, one had all her fingers cut off, one had had her ears and a leg torn off, and one had lost her left eye as well as her left arm and leg.

Far from feeling disgusted at the sight of the white and yellow maggots writhing in the rotting flesh of their wounds, what Victor felt was anger and hatred towards the Duke.

"Plea... se..."

It was the same voice as before, and it came from the woman whose fingers were missing.

Victor did not need to be a genius to understand what they were saying as flames erupted around his palm.

"I understand. I hope you all can have a better life in the afterworld or after reincarnation," Victor said with a solemn, sad, and angry expression.

Woosh!

The blue flames consumed their bodies, yet they did not even scream from the pain and instead showed relieved smiles.

There was an eerie silence before Rina asked.

"Darling, what are you going to do now?" Rina asked cautiously, as she could sense the killing intent around Victor.

"Of course, I am going to slaughter my way to the Duke and give him a painful death," Victor said in a cold voice, and everyone shuddered upon hearing the coldness in his words, but no one felt any sympathy. In fact, they felt he deserved what was coming for him.

"You two go rescue the survivors," Victor said, looking at Grace and Watson as they nodded.

Boom!

Bang!

"Ah, run away! A monster! Ugh!" a soldier screamed, but his voice died in his throat as a lightning bullet struck him.

Victor killed the soldiers who tried to attack him without hesitation, and the others also joined him in the slaughter. The citizens cautiously poked their heads out from their cover when they realized Victor was not targeting them but only the corrupt soldiers.

Spark Castle

Every high-ranking officer and person of authority was enjoying a feast when...

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Boom!

BOOM!

The sound of gunshots and explosions coming from outside abruptly echoed in the middle of their celebration, and everyone became alarmed again.

The beautiful women who were naked were a little frightened at first, but after remembering the safety of this villa, they calmed down again, although there was still some worry in their eyes.

"What the hell is going on?" Dane Spark stood up abruptly as he put on his clothes. His eyes filled with anger as he said, "What the hell is going on? Did those peasants start a rebellion, or did some power-hungry officer try to backstab me?"

Dane Spark was not afraid. His villa was guarded by hundreds of well-armed men and Awakeners. This kind of force was enough to resist an enemy assault for at least one full hour; enough time for the rest of his forces to catch up and suppress them or buy enough time for reinforcements to arrive.

Bang!

Suddenly, the door was flung open. Dane Spark was about to scold whoever had barged in like that, but when he saw Commander Morrison had entered the room with a pale face, he stopped and asked, "What’s going on outside, Commander?"

"It’s about the Duke. The Lord of the Silvernum Territory has invaded the place, and I even saw Princess Amanda with him. They have wiped out 80% of our troops."

Everyone’s eyes bulged out when they heard him, and their faces turned pale.

"What? How is this possible?" Dane said with disbelief, and then his face turned sinister. "Damn, they dare come here? I will make this place their grave instead."

On top of a five-story building a kilometer up the street, a woman lay on the floor as she clung to an item that looked like a sniper rifle but with runes engraved on it.

Through the crosshairs of the scope, she watched as Victor, Amber, Rina, and Amanda defied hundreds of soldiers as if they were nothing. Even without attacking, all the troops were defeated by their presence alone, and they did not even suffer a scratch in the process.

"What monsters," the woman whispered in lingering fear.

She was a powerful Tier 2 soldier. Her current level was 279, but her actual strength allowed her to kill higher-tier opponents thanks to her weapon.

"It’s a shame you ran into me, though." The female sniper licked her lips and activated her two attack skills, Mana Reinforcement and Ammo Enhancement. Both were high-ranked skills, but with her sniper, which was even capable of piercing a steel wall, her power was incredibly terrifying.

"Die, pretty boy." She smiled and pulled the trigger with confidence.

BANG!

A thunderous sound shook the night sky. The power of the shot was such that the sniper jerked ferociously as if it would break at any moment, while the floor beneath the woman cracked slightly.
