Evolution Online: Building a Kingdom with 100\% drop rate
Chapter 260: Ch-260: Soul Weapons! Soul Weapons! Soul Weapons!
As soon as Jack’s blood dropped onto the crystal ball, the pillars surrounding them started to shake violently and began to glow.
A few seconds later, one of the pillars emitted a golden aura before shooting into the sky.
"Woah," Valerie gasped as her mouth hung open while she watched the spectacle.
"The light that is shooting upwards is the key to opening the realm where the weapons are stored," King Alaric added, and everyone nodded as they kept their eyes fixated on the pillar of light.
A few more seconds later, a second pillar released a pillar of golden light into the sky.
Then, a third pillar of light appeared in the sky for all the people in the city to see.
"Someone is partaking in the Night Weapon Ritual? Who could it be?"
The demons in the capital city stopped whatever they were doing to spectate the ritual, just like they always did.
Then more and more pillars of light started to appear in the sky until it stopped at the ninth pillar of light.
"Nine pillars, heavens! This person, whoever it is, will gain a Soul Weapon today. Maybe someone from the royal family is reattempting the ritual again," said someone with a shocked look. It was not rare to see royal family members who did not get a Soul Weapon trying again whenever their Bloodline purity increased through treasures.
Woosh.
Back at the place of the ritual, Jack looked at the portal that had appeared in front of him, and a black dagger appeared before him.
"A Soul Weapon."
Jack said with a grin on his face. Even though it was not a sword like he was used to, or a spear, he was still happy just to have a Soul Weapon.
"Tch, why are you so happy? I will go next," Seraphina grumbled, and her expression became a bit more displeased when she saw her brother ignoring her and focusing on the dagger.
Seraphina stepped forward and repeated the same process, and after a few minutes, she saw nothing happen and let out a disappointed sigh.
"Looks like I can’t get a second one from this place."
"Don’t be disappointed. You already have one," Alaric said to his disheartened daughter.
"I know," Seraphina said, and then stepped back.
"I will be going next," Maria said as she gracefully walked towards the crystal orb and repeated the same process.
Pillars of light shot up into the sky, and after a few seconds, they vanished. Maria frowned upon seeing the pillars and said with a sigh, "I thought I would also get the pillars of light like Alaric."
Then her expression turned weird when she saw the Soul Weapon.
"Chains?"
"Tch, whatever. Better than nothing," Maria shrugged as she stepped back. She would have preferred an offensive, or even a defensive Soul Weapon would have been better than chains in her opinion, but she did not complain, as having a Soul Weapon was a blessing, and after reading the description, it was very useful.
"Alright, who will go next, Victor or you, Amber?" Alaric looked at the pair and asked.
"Aren’t you going to try, Father?" Jack asked, looking at his father.
"No, I don’t think I will get a Soul Weapon, as mine was the result of activating ten pillars. Even Seraphina failed, as she activated nine pillars," Alaric said calmly.
"I see," Jack nodded.
"You should still give it a try," Maria said.
"Maybe I will later, but let our guests try first," Alaric said as he gestured toward Victor and Amber.
"I will go first," Amber said.
"Okay, then, young lady, it’s your turn," the Demon King nodded his head at Amber.
Amber then approached the crystal ball in the middle of the formation.
"I just need to drop some of my blood onto this crystal ball, right?" She asked for confirmation.
"That is correct. You may use the dagger beside the crystal to release your blood. Just a few drops will be enough," King Alaric nodded.
Amber grabbed the cool-looking dagger with a dragon design on the handle and poked a small hole in the tip of her finger.
She then squeezed a few drops of blood onto the crystal ball.
The crystal ball immediately absorbed her blood and began glowing with a subtle golden light.
Once the crystal ball absorbed her blood, it immediately began to glow golden, and it was emitting a light that was noticeably more vibrant than Maria, Jack, and Seraphina’s attempts.
A few seconds later, the first pillar of light was released, piercing straight into the heavens.
The second pillar appeared a few more seconds later, as did the third and fourth.
"Four pillars, huh? At least this person is already better than the last one."
A few seconds later, the fifth pillar appeared.
"Five pillars! Not bad."
"Heavens! Nine pillars!"
"Whoever this person is, their future is looking great!"
"Eleven! Eleven pillars! Whoever this individual is—he’s managed to rival the Primordials in terms of Bloodline purity!"
The spectators were shaking with excitement when they saw this.
The Demon King also trembled with excitement and anticipation when he saw this.
"H-Heavens," Maria said with a shaky breath, as this was the first time since the Primordials that someone had managed to achieve such a feat.
’Damn, are we even competing on the same level?’ Valerie thought bitterly. She shook her head and thought how foolish it was for her and the other heirs to think they were the most talented on Earth. Compared to these freaks, they were nowhere near them. She made up her mind to become as close to them as possible.
Soon, Amber’s Soul Weapon appeared.
"Huh, a gun can also be a Soul Weapon?" Victor’s eyes widened as he saw a gun covered in thick black smoke land in Amber’s hand, and he was speechless. He had heard about and seen records of many Soul Weapons, but a gun was a first.
Even Alaric was surprised to see this.
"Oh, this can turn into other guns," Amber said as she held the handgun and read the details, and while wielding it, she changed its shape. It changed to a shotgun, then to a sniper rifle.
"What’s the effect on your Bloodline?" Rina asked after Amber returned. Hearing her question, Amber looked at everyone and said with a grin.
"It can enhance the power of ice by a maximum of 1000% in sniper form. Of course, if I use the sniper rifle form, then I can’t use my Soul Weapon for a month," Amber said. Everyone’s eyes widened in shock upon hearing her words, especially the demons, but then they sighed when they heard the last words. If she could abuse it, this would be too broken.
"I will go next," Victor said as he repeated the same process.
As soon as Victor dropped the blood from his fingertips, the sphere violently trembled, and then the whole place started shaking as every pillar in the room began to glow.
"What the heck is happening?" Alaric exclaimed as his eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. The next moment, he saw every single pillar emitting light that shot into the sky, directly illuminating the entire sky.
The crowd outside, which had stopped to see if anyone else would attempt the ritual, was frozen in shock as many stumbled and fell to the ground and looked towards the pillars of light in awe, shock, and even fear.
"Heavens, all the pillars reacted!"
"How is this possible?"
"Yeah, heavens, not even the Primordials could do this!"
"Just what is happening?"
Victor looked at the weapon in front of him with a raised eyebrow.
Gudong.
Every member of the royal family swallowed hard and took a step back. Even Amber had cold sweat covering her forehead as she also took a couple of steps back and looked at the scythe with dread.
’Why is every instinct in my body telling me to stay away from the scythe?’
"A scythe and gourd," Victor mumbled as he raised an eyebrow and looked at the weapon hovering above him. He could feel his Night Slayer Bloodline urging him to bond with it.
Victor reached out to grab it. The moment he extended his hand, he felt a second bond form, just like the same as his other Soul Weapon, and immediately, multiple chains shot out from the scythe and completely wrapped around his right arm and hand.
He could have dodged it but did not, as he felt no harm from it. He watched as the scythe landed in his hand and the chains vanished. He could sense that he could still summon the chains.
He looked at the scythe, which was black with glowing purple lines around it, the same as the gourd.
He immediately examined the new Soul Weapon.
---
Eternal Night Nemesis
Rank: Divine
Type: Soul Weapon
Effects:
1. Using the scythe, the user can directly attack souls and use the chains to imprison the souls killed with the scythe and store them in the gourd.
2. Torment Chains: The user summons chains and pierces the creatures of Night to torture them. The agony they suffer is a hundred times worse than dying.
3. One for All: When fighting a creature of Night, all stats between the enemy and user are added together first and then divided equally if the target has lower Bloodlust than the wielder.

"Divine Rank," Victor whispered as his heart hammered in his chest. This was the first time he had seen a Divine Rank item. He had heard rumors of some NPCs having Divine Rank items and skills in his past life from some players, but he had never seen one in person until today.
Hiss.
Victor then looked at the skills and effects of the weapon and sucked in a cold breath.
