Liora did not need to ask what World Origin was. She already knew, perhaps being more familiar with it than this illusory silhouette.

World Origin was the energy that powered a world, similar to the demonic energy of Devils and the Life Force of Knights. Once it was depleted, the world itself would crumble, falling into ruin.

Hearing this being mention that the gate in front of her housed this world’s World Origin, Liora couldn’t help but feel a little strange.

Not so much by the World Origin’s existence, but by the fact that this being chose to reveal this.

The being noticed her doubts.

“I can sense that you are also an Outsider. But unlike that woman, your goal is different. You don’t care about devouring this world, nor do you care about destroying the beast race…”

“Most importantly, you are currently very weak. Once that woman breaks free, you will also become one of her targets.”, the being spoke and then continued:

“Our goals are the same for now. We need to prevent that woman from leaving her cage and returning to reality. Otherwise, this world will be ruined, and you will also die with it.”

“At the end of the day, we are natural allies.”

The voice of this being was plain, but its words were filled with certainty. In fact, what it was saying was not incorrect.

Liora indeed didn’t want the Zerg to break out from her cage. Otherwise, her journey in this world would be over.

However, what this being didn’t know was that Liora had another option. Either way, her life would not be in danger.

That was because, having fulfilled her part of the agreement with Eleanor, the contract between them had been completed.

As long as Liora wished to, she could perform another ceremony and leave this world, returning to the Demon World.

“But doing so is of no benefit to me. There are still enemies waiting for my return back in the Demon World. With my current strength, I will be unable to cope with them.”

“Unless I have the ability to escape from a True Devil, returning to the Demon World is all but certain death.”, Liora thought.

Since that was the case, she nodded her head in agreement with the being’s words. But then, she asked another question.

“What’s your plan to deal with the Founding Emperor? Moreover, how can we trust each other? Though we have the same goal, I believe that neither of us can truly believe the other.”, she stated.

Seeing that Liora was about to agree, the being did not hesitate. It immediately answered her question, wanting to solve her doubts.

“The reason why I started the riot was to test the movements of the Iron Armor Empire. The fact that the Founding Emperor has not personally stepped forward to suppress the beasts means that he is currently at a crucial moment in his advancement.”

“Thus, we can only kill him before he advances. Otherwise, not only will we not be able to contend with him, but he will also unseal that Outsider and bring chaos to the world.”, the being said.

Its plan was quite simple, but it made sense. The Founding Emperor was most likely staying at the capital of the Iron Armor Empire and was in the middle of his advancement.

Apart from storming the capital and attacking him, there was no other way to deal with him.

“As for how we can trust each other. It’s also quite simple…”, the creature continued:

“During my fight with the second Outsider, I was able to take a glimpse of some of his information. Using it, I was able to create a new ability.”

“I named it: World Contract.”

“By utilizing the power of World Origin, a contract can be established between two individuals. If one of the parties violates the contract’s terms, they will suffer extreme backlash and will end up injured.”

Liora could hear a sense of pride in the voice of the illusory silhouette. It seemed really happy to have developed its own ability and was showing it off.

She couldn’t help but roll her eyes. She didn’t point out that she also possessed such an ability in the form of the Devil Contract.

Not because she was afraid that it would hurt its pride, but because she deemed it completely unnecessary.

Though it was a small and insignificant thing, it was always better to hide something than to reveal it.

“Okay. I understand…”, Liora nodded her head.

The being was not surprised by her answer. It felt that, forced by the situation, Liora was destined to agree to its offer and become its ally.

“Follow me.”, it soon turned around and motioned her before stepping into the stone gate.

Sensing no danger from within, Liora followed its footsteps.

Before long, she found herself in a room completely made of black stone. It was mostly empty, with only a few rays of white light floating at its center.

It looked unassuming, as if it were a mere illusion created by the light’s reflection.

But when Liora’s gaze landed on this cluster of lights, she instantly recognized its identity.

“World Origin…”, she whispered as her footsteps came to a halt.

Having learned of its existence before coming here, Liora should not have been so surprised. However, what she hadn’t expected was that the moment she approached the World Origin, her whole body trembled.

She felt her blood boil. This was similar to when she awakened her bloodline memories not long ago, but it was now countless times more intense.

Liora felt a longing and a yearning stemming from deep within her bloodline, urging her to step forward, grab the World Origin, and devour it.

“What is going on?”, she couldn’t help but wonder.

Lesser Devils did not possess the ability to plunder and devour World Origin.

This was an ability that only Greater Devils possessed, according to her understanding.

But now, Liora clearly felt that she also possessed that ability. As long as she wanted, she could grab the World Origin and make it her meal.

Forcing herself to calm down, she restrained this impulse and fell deep into thought. Soon, she had a suspicion.
