Evil Alchemist System
Chapter 136: The New Residence
He closed his eyes briefly. When he opened them again, a strange light flashed through his eyes. He had already begun mentally simulating the technique.
’This is definitely stronger than my Heaven Cleaving Sword.’
From what he could determine, the Starfall Flame Refinement Art should at least be at the peak of Earth Rank.
It might even be Heaven Rank.
Unfortunately, Elder Zixuan had never directly told him its grade. Long Feng decided not to ask again. Some things were better left unknown.
Elder Zixuan quietly watched him.
He had originally expected Long Feng to require considerable time to understand the technique. Instead, the young man’s comprehension was far better than he had anticipated.
’He really is unusual.’
Elder Zixuan’s expression remained calm, waved his hand.
"That’s all for today. Come back tomorrow."
"Understood."
He stood up and glanced once more at the Earth Rank cauldron, wish to take it with him before turning toward the courtyard entrance.
There would be more opportunities in future, no need to become greedy.
As he walked away, Elder Zixuan’s gaze remained on his back.
The elder’s face was still expressionless, but his evaluation of Long Feng had already changed considerably.
Maybe even his teacher had underestimated just how unusual this young man truly was.
After leaving Elder Zixuan’s courtyard, Long Feng walked through the sect without any particular destination in mind.
His steps were steady, but his mind was already becoming increasingly tired.
Today had been far longer than he had expected. First, there had been the selection ceremony and the examination of his soul.
Then came Elder Zixuan’s alchemy test, followed by the refining of the fifth-rank Energy Gathering Pill and the unexpected transmission of the Starfall Flame Refinement Art.
Even with his current cultivation, Long Feng could clearly feel the fatigue settling into his body.
Cultivators at his level rarely needed ordinary food or sleep to maintain their physical condition.
Spiritual energy continuously nourished their bodies, and as long as their cultivation remained stable, they could go for extremely long periods without eating or sleeping.
But that did not mean they never felt tired.
Cultivation could replace the body’s basic needs. It could not completely replace rest.
’I just want to sleep on my fluffy bed with my cock in a soft hole.’
With a smirk on face, Long Feng rubbed his forehead. It wasn’t hard to understand he had already began to imagine some wild scenery.
With that thought in mind, Long Feng’s steps became slightly faster.
He had finally reached the point where he could enjoy some peace after everything that had happened recently.
At least, that was what he thought.
When Long Feng finally arrived at his residence, however, he immediately noticed that something was wrong.
A young man wearing the robes of Inner Disciple, stood outside his home, seemed to have been waiting for quite some time.
The moment he saw Long Feng approaching, his eyes brightened and he immediately stepped forward, respectfully cupped his fists.
"Senior Brother Long."
Long Feng stopped his track. His expression remained calm, but his mood had already become slightly worse.
’Don’t tell me something happened again.’
He looked at the disciple and asked, "What’s the matter?"
The disciple quickly explained, his tone carried a trace of respect.
"I was ordered by the elders to guide you to your new residence as a Core Disciple."
"Oh!" Long Feng raised an eyebrow.
His status had changed from Inner Disciple to Core Disciple, so it was natural for the sect to arrange a better residence for him.
But he didn’t expect it to be so soon, not even letting him to rest for a while.
’Fine. Lead the way."
His expression was calm, but inwardly, he was already somewhat irritated.
He knew that there was no point arguing with the disciple. More importantly, refusing would probably create unnecessary trouble.
The disciple immediately nodded and the two soon left the area, began heading toward the deeper regions of the sect.
As they traveled, Long Feng gradually realized that they were moving toward one of the mountains located in the Core Disciple area.
The higher they climbed, the more Long Feng’s mood began to improve.
At first, he had been somewhat irritated about having to move after such a tiring day. But the scenery along the way slowly changed his mind.
The mountain was covered in lush vegetation, with ancient trees growing naturally between the rocks.
A faint mist lingered among the mountain slopes.
The spiritual energy was also considerably denser than in the area where Long Feng had previously lived.
With every breath, he could feel the spiritual energy entering his body naturally. Even without deliberately cultivating, his body could absorb a small amount of it.
"This place isn’t bad." Long Feng glanced around with satisfaction.
"Of course."
The disciple smiled. He seemed somewhat proud as he introduced the area.
"This is one of the best mountain ranges within the Core Disciple residential area."
Long Feng looked farther ahead.
Only a small number of buildings could be seen scattered across the enormous mountain. Compared with the densely populated areas where ordinary disciples lived, this place was exceptionally quiet.
"How many disciples live here?"
The disciple answered immediately.
"Only around thirty Core Disciples live in this entire mountain peak."
"Only thirty?" Although Long Feng had expected the numbers would be scarer, but he didn’t expect it would be so low.
"Yes."
The disciple nodded. "Most Core Disciples have their own residences scattered across the different mountain ranges. This mountain is considered one of the better locations, so only the strongest or most favored Core Disciples are generally assigned here."
Long Feng nodded slowly. That made sense.
Core Disciples were already completely different from ordinary disciples.
Every person who could become a Core Disciple was at least a Nascent Soul cultivator, and some of the older or exceptionally talented Core Disciples had even reached the Life and Death Realm.
A Nascent Soul cultivator could already establish considerable prestige outside the sect. In some smaller regions, a Nascent Soul expert could become the ruler of an entire area.
A Life and Death Realm expert was even more extraordinary. Yet within Azura Heaven Sect, such people were still considered Core Disciples.
Naturally, the sect would not treat them the same way as ordinary disciples.
Moreover, the Core Disciples were generally young and extremely talented. Most of them had the potential to become even stronger in the future.
Providing them with an excellent cultivation environment was only natural.
Long Feng had also heard that the True Disciples received even greater treatment, each one assigned with an entire mountain summit as their exclusive residence.
Thinking about that, Long Feng could not help shaking his head.
Azura Heaven Sect truly lived up to its reputation as one of the Seven Great Sects of the Central Region.
The resources and treatment given to its outstanding disciples were far beyond what ordinary cultivators could imagine.
As they continued climbing, the surroundings became increasingly beautiful.
The mountain peak gradually appeared through the mist. A wide stone path led upward, surrounded by ancient trees and spiritual flowers.
The spiritual energy became even denser near the summit.
Long Feng’s slightly irritated mood had completely disappeared by now. He looked ahead with a faint smile.
After walking for some time, they finally reached the top.
Long Feng stopped and looked around. His new residence occupied a large area near the summit. Unlike the simple courtyard where he had previously lived, this place looked more like a luxurious mountain villa.
A large stone gate stood at the entrance, while a spacious courtyard stretched behind it.
Several buildings were arranged naturally around the main residence, with separate cultivation rooms, guest rooms, and other facilities.
A small spiritual pond could be seen beside the courtyard, its surface covered with faint mist created by the dense spiritual energy. The entire residence was surrounded by formations.
Long Feng could immediately sense that the spiritual energy inside was even denser than outside.
"This is my residence?"
"Yes." The disciple smiled, as seemed relieved that Long Feng was satisfied.
"Your identity as a Core Disciple has already been registered. From now on, this mountain residence belongs to you."
Long Feng looked around once more.
For the first time since leaving Elder Zixuan’s courtyard, he felt that the day’s exhaustion was beginning to disappear. At least this time, the sect had compensated him properly for interrupting his rest.
"Let’s go inside."
The disciple respectfully opened the door.
Long Feng followed him into the residence. The moment he stepped inside, he noticed that someone was already present. His footsteps slowed.
The main hall was spacious and elegantly decorated. A large sofa had been placed in the center, an older figure was sitting there calmly.
Beside him stood Maid Xiao Ruo and two other unknown Outer Disciples respectfully on either side of the hall.
Long Feng’s eyes narrowed slightly. He had not expected anyone to be waiting for him here.
The older figure also raised his head, and their gazes met.
For a moment, Long Feng stood at the entrance without moving. His expression changed slightly, turning sour as didn’t expect see this face today.
