Capítulo 2465: Chapter 1363: Deep Exploration and Surprises
“Is this the entrance to the Ancient Dark Elf Mine?”
The moonlight shone brightly as Leo Ray stood before a hollow, circular pit, exclaiming in awe.
This place was at the foot of a continuously stretching mountain range, known as Whimpering Peak. Not far away, a swift river flowed by, with the sound of rushing water incessantly ringing in the ears.
Around the circular pit, several large Dwarf Elf magic machinery were deployed, alongside piles of dirt towering like mountains, creating a rather impressive sight.
“That’s correct, Your Majesty of the Humans. Everything is ready.”
Broy stood beside Leo Ray, reporting, “The Dwarf Elf vanguard has already reached the edge of the Ancient Dark Elf Mine site, waiting for our arrival.”
“Thanks for your hard work, well done.”
Leo Ray nodded with satisfaction, turning his gaze to the strong lineup behind him.
At the forefront, naturally, were the three Tier 6 experts: Elder Bing, Grey Elder, and Yonir, alongside other main force subordinates like Louise, Jasper Richardson, and Stone Spirits like Little Jie.
Further back was a team of strong beings composed of Flower Fairies and Wood Fairies, led by Fanny and Crisis respectively, totaling 20 Tier 6 experts.
As for the Treant experts like Shuert and other allied experts, Leo Ray had assigned them to a location with the Dragonborn army, ready to handle the Trolls and Minotaurs at a moment’s notice.
Keeping a certain distance from the allied expert team was another team composed of Light Half-Elves and Dragonborn experts.
Besides the familiar faces of Ruth and Mallen, there were 8 other Light Half-Elf experts participating, including a total of 5 Tier 6 experts and 5 experts at Tier 5 peak or half-step Tier 6, with Ruth and Mallen among them.
According to the information Leo Ray received, this should account for all the Light Half-Elves who came.
The Dragonborn dispatched a total of 5 Tier 6 experts. However, the Winged Prince Davis was not among them; only Nal and a few other Dragonborn experts were present.
Which is understandable, since the main forces like Davis and Shuert were, like before, on a different battlefield preparing to deal with Trolls and Minotaurs.
“Lady Ruth, shall we begin now?”
Leo Ray’s gaze finally landed on the Light Half-Elf experts, nodding slightly.
“Understood, Your Majesty of the Humans. We have been ready for a long time.”
Ruth donned a light golden battle robe, with her metal magic staff gleaming brilliantly.
Under Ruth’s command, the 10 Light Half-Elf experts quickly formed the first echelon of the team. The Dragonborn experts followed closely behind, and further back, Leo Ray, along with other allied experts, began advancing toward the circular pit.
Thanks to the Dwarf Elf engineers, who had established a well-crafted spiral staircase and lighting measures around the circular pit leading deep underground, the surrounding area quickly fell silent, accompanied by the steady footsteps of the group.
As far as the eye could see, there were only the thick stairs extending downward and the Light Crystal Stones embedded around, complemented by the fresh scent of soil wafting through the air.
It must be said, in such a short time, the Dwarf Elves managed to organize everything in such an orderly manner, greatly pleasing Leo Ray.
Following the spiral staircase all the way down, after about a ten-minute walk, the group finally reached the end of the pit.
This was a relatively spacious circular space, with some Dwarf Elf magic machinery deployed, though nothing appeared particularly special.
However, in one corner of the space, an ancient stone passage stood out conspicuously, looking somewhat out of place both in exterior appearance and from the dilapidation of its walls.
At the entrance to the passage, several teams of Dwarf Elf soldiers and Alchemy Puppets were standing guard—evidently the vanguard Broy mentioned earlier.
Upon seeing Leo Ray and Broy’s figures, the Dwarf Elf soldiers guarding the passage immediately placed their hands on their chests in salute, then stepped aside, allowing the group to proceed to investigate.
“This conveys the violent and chaotic aura unique to Dark Elf Race murals, along with the eerie and chaotic aura wafting from the passage—it’s characteristic of the Dark Elf style!”
An elderly Light Half-Elf, seemingly older than Mallen, excitedly reported to Ruth after examining the area: “Young Mistress, there is no doubt, this should be one of the tunnels the miners used to enter the mine back then!”
While listening to the words of the Old Half-Elf, Leo Ray looked up at the murals at the passage entrance.
Depicted above were scenes of extremely brutal battles; judging by the pointed ears of the soldiers, they indeed hailed from the Elf Tribe.
However, behind Leo Ray, two slender figures hidden under hooded caps hummed softly in response, clearly displeased with the Old Light Half-Elf’s words.
These two were none other than Elusa and Teresa, whom Leo Ray had specifically brought along. As true members of the Dark Elf Race, they found the other’s comments about Dark Elves undeniably harsh.
Noticing the discontent of the Dark Elf sisters, Leo Ray smiled helplessly.
After all, the Light Elves and Dark Elves were naturally at odds, and the current situation was more of a tense standoff, with each side scorning the other. Thus, it was no surprise that the Light Half-Elves, who sided with the Light Elves, shared the same sentiment.
Nonetheless, both Elusa and Teresa were extremely composed, so Leo Ray didn’t worry that they would end up in a verbal dispute with the Light Half-Elves, affecting the subsequent actions.
