Every Sentinel I Dreamed of Came Looking for Me
Chapter 232: I’m Not Quite the Gentleman You Imagine
Chapter 232: Chapter 232: I’m Not Quite the Gentleman You Imagine
Yun Sheng was held so tightly by Xing Che she could barely breathe. His hands were scorching hot, as if on fire, and his spiritual power was churning wildly, on the verge of going berserk.
But this time, she didn’t push him away.
She looked up, meeting his eyes that were red with burning desire. Her voice was soft, yet firm.
"You won’t."
Xing Che’s heart seemed to shrink back slightly, as if he hadn’t expected Yun Sheng to believe in him so resolutely.
His fingers tightened at her waist, then loosened. Loosened, then tightened again, as if he was using all his strength to restrain himself from doing something more extreme.
"You sure have a lot of faith in me!" He gave a self-deprecating tug at the corner of his lips. "I don’t even have that much confidence in myself."
Xing Che had spent his entire life in the Eighth Star Zone, the most remote and barren planet in the entire Star Alliance. Contaminants ran rampant, its contaminated zones were much larger than those on other planets, and its borders were littered with sources of heavy contamination.
Back then, he had often ventured deep into the most contaminated zones and was heavily affected by the radiation. Episodes of his spiritual power going berserk were common, so this feeling of losing control was not unfamiliar to him.
But the induction agent was too potent. The rampaging spiritual power in his spiritual landscape was running amok. His violent emotions and desires were escalating, even worse than ever before!
"You won’t," Yun Sheng repeated, her voice still firm, her burning gaze fixed on Xing Che’s face.
’Si Jin had been so strongly affected by the induction agent back then because he had already fallen and become a Dark Sentinel, and his spiritual power frequently went berserk.’
’But Xing Che is different!’
’She had been inside his spiritual landscape. Although it had many fissures, he had it under good control.’
’Otherwise, he wouldn’t have deliberately triggered a spiritual power rampage for her to soothe back when he was teaching her.’
That was why Yun Sheng firmly believed Xing Che wouldn’t lose control to the induction agent so quickly.
As she watched him with such a firm, burning gaze, the desire and lust in Xing Che’s eyes only deepened.
Her trust was like a flame, devouring what little was left of his precarious sanity.
Xing Che suddenly grabbed Yun Sheng’s wrists and pinned her against the cave wall.
The cool rock pressed against Yun Sheng’s back. Before she could even react, he had loomed over her, planting one hand on the wall next to her ear and looking down at her imperiously.
He slowly leaned down, inching closer and closer, so close that Yun Sheng could see every flicker of churning desire in his eyes, so close she could feel the scorching heat radiating from his skin.
His nose almost brushed against hers, and his lips hovered by hers, but he didn’t close the distance.
"Shengsheng, don’t trust me so much... I’m not the gentleman you imagine me to be, able to stay completely rational in front of the person I love. Especially not... when I’m like this!"
Yun Sheng opened her mouth to say something, but Xing Che had already lowered his head and kissed her.
His elegantly curved, thin lips gently pressed against hers, and a searing heat instantly spread through her. Her eyes flew open in shock, and she instinctively struggled a few times.
But both of her wrists were clamped in Xing Che’s large hands and pressed against the rock wall, leaving her unable to move.
And the moment she struggled, Xing Che’s actions suddenly changed.
It was as if something had ignited within him. He was no longer cautious and hesitant like before, as if he hadn’t known how to proceed.
He pressed himself even closer, grinding his lips against hers. From her lips to the corners of her mouth, from the corners to her Cupid’s bow, he traced, tested, and took from her, bit by bit, as if determined to taste every part of her.
After kissing her for a moment, Xing Che suddenly pulled back slightly.
His crimson eyes stared feverishly at Yun Sheng’s lips, which were now chafed and bright red. His Adam’s apple bobbed violently.
Her lips were slightly swollen and glistening, like rain-slicked petals, so exquisitely beautiful he couldn’t look away.
His breathing grew heavier, his gaze darkening as if he wanted to devour her whole.
Then he kissed her again, harder and deeper than before, prying her lips apart and plunging into her mouth.
His movements were still somewhat clumsy, like a child tasting candy for the first time, desperately trying to hold on to the sweetness, yet afraid of finishing it all in one bite. It was the greed of someone who had tasted pleasure and wanted more, yet he was still careful, terrified of hurting her.
Yun Sheng’s mind went blank.
His kiss was too hot. It was so hot her lips went numb, so hot her cheeks burned, so hot her entire body went weak.
Her breathing became completely chaotic. Kissed until she was breathless, a low, muffled moan escaped her throat, as soft as a kitten’s mewl.
As they kissed, Xing Che’s hands slid from Yun Sheng’s wrists to clasp her fingers. He intertwined them, palm against palm, their skin so hot it felt like it would burst into flames.
His hands were large and his knuckles distinct. He enveloped her entire hand in his, gripping it tightly as if afraid she would run away.
Kissed until her mind grew hazy, Yun Sheng’s fingers tightened unconsciously, squeezing his hand in return.
The movement was faint, almost accidental, but Xing Che’s body suddenly went rigid.
He deepened the kiss, sending a paralyzing tremor through her. Yun Sheng’s legs gave out, and she sagged against him, relying completely on his support to keep from sliding to the floor.
As his desire intensified, the spiritual power around him grew even more chaotic. It was as if it had a will of its own, surging from his body to wrap covetously around Yun Sheng, desperately trying to entangle with her own spiritual power.
The power was scorching and urgent, like a man dying of thirst who had finally found water and was desperate to drink his fill.
Yun Sheng’s spiritual power didn’t reject its advances. Instead, it quickly responded, softly twining around his.
That warm power followed the path of their intertwined energies and slowly entered Xing Che’s spiritual landscape. It gently swept over the churning, agitated spiritual power, like a tender hand pressing his spiraling power back down, bit by bit.
The violent aura around him faltered the moment she made contact, as if soothed by something, and it gradually became less frantic.
The burning pain at the edges of the fissures also eased as her spiritual power brushed past, like cool spring water being poured over a scorching wound. The relief was so profound he wanted to drown in it.
"Shengsheng..."
Xing Che sighed, his voice low and raspy with satisfaction.
His blood-red eyes gradually returned to their original amber-gold. The violence and desire in them faded, replaced by an overwhelming tenderness.
The cave fell silent, leaving only the sound of their mingled breaths and heartbeats, each one so clear it seemed to be etched into their ears.
Meanwhile, several hundred meters outside the cave, a shuttle slowly descended into the forest.
Bai Ye was the first to step out of the cabin. His gaze swept over the dense woods, which were shrouded in a gray mist, and his brow furrowed tightly.
"Split up and search. If you find any trapped cadets, rescue them immediately. Stay safe and maintain contact."
"Sir!" the Sentinels behind him chorused. They quickly dispersed, vanishing into the shadows of the trees.
Bai Ye remained where he was, his spiritual power spreading out around him like a tide, rapidly scanning the area’s energy fluctuations.
A moment later, his eyes sharpened.
He detected the powerful energy signature belonging to Si Jin, right in the central area ahead. It was surrounded by several other abnormal, chaotic, and violent auras.
Bai Ye’s figure blurred, and he shot off in that direction.
After passing through a thicket of dense bushes, the sight before him brought him to an abrupt halt.
Si Jin was surrounded by a group of people in gray. He had fresh wounds on his shoulders and back but still stood ramrod straight, his blade held horizontally before him as he stared coldly at his attackers.
Bai Ye’s eyes quickly scanned the crowd before he frowned and looked at Si Jin, who had already sensed his presence and was now looking up at him.
"Where’s Yun Sheng? Isn’t she with you?"
