Chapter 850 - 346: Purple Moon Sect

Feeling deeply surprised inside, Chu Ning’s face remained calm.

He asked in a deep voice, "The Yaochi Palace was destroyed? I wonder if you could explain the details to me?"

Yue Qing hesitated slightly at that moment.

Seeing the expression on the other’s face, Chu Ning realized there were some concerns.

His face remained calm, and he spoke softly:

"There’s no need to worry, I was entrusted by someone to deliver something to Yaochi Palace.

I don’t know much about the specific situation of the palace. If it really has been completely destroyed, then I certainly won’t visit; nonetheless, it would be good to be able to report back to my friend."

Upon hearing these words from Chu Ning, Yue Qing and Li Liquan exchanged a glance.

The former then spoke again:

"Actually, there’s nothing that cannot be discussed here, since the incident was not long ago.

If you want to inquire, you can indeed find out more by investigating."

At this point, Yue Qing paused and said:

"Yaochi Palace, which mainly consists of female cultivators, is actually quite strong, and there used to be Nascent Soul cultivators in the palace.

But forty years ago, it seems something happened to the Nascent Soul cultivators within the sect, and they did not return.

The reigning Palace Master might have felt the pressure, and thus began to attempt breaking into Nascent Soul Stage.

Fifteen years ago, during the attempt to advance to Nascent Soul Stage, an accident occurred, resulting in death and the perish of her Dao."

Speaking of this, Yue Qing sighed lightly and said:

"Although afterward, it seems there was news of new Golden Core cultivators in the palace, losing two top combat strengths in succession greatly weakened Yaochi Palace.

And the spiritual power of Little Yao Mountain they occupied was rich, naturally attracting the covetous eyes of other forces, especially as the Righteous and Demonic Paths on East Saint Continent have experienced constant friction in recent years.

Eight years ago, the Demon Sect Purple Moon Sect took the opportunity to attack Yaochi Palace.

Not only did they occupy Little Yao Mountain, but most of the female cultivators in the palace were said to have been kidnapped by Purple Moon Sect, which is an embarrassing event for our Righteous Sects."

At this point, when Yue Qing mentioned this, Bai Ling glanced at Chu Ning and angrily spoke:

"Did no one from the Righteous Sects stand up for justice?"

Bai Ling’s reaction didn’t surprise Yue Qing.

After all, she’s a female cultivator, and it’s normal to react strongly to such matters.

Yue Qing’s face revealed a slight unnaturalness as he said:

"It’s said that some disciples from Yaochi Palace did escape and sought help from the Righteous Sects.

However, among the major sects on East Saint Continent, there’s not a deep alliance between Righteous and Demonic Paths.

The few Righteous Sects that were particularly friendly with Yaochi Palace did not act immediately, and naturally, the others did not intervene further."

Chu Ning asked in a deep voice at this moment, "And what about those cultivators who escaped from Yaochi Palace?"

Qiu Qing’s expression turned serious at this time.

"Speaking of this, although they are female cultivators, these friends truly deserve respect.

It’s said they kept hiding, escaping pursuit from Purple Moon Sect, while the Nascent Soul cultivators of Purple Moon Sect, for some unknown reason, seemed to be in secluded cultivation.

This group of cultivators would occasionally ambush the outward Purple Moon Sect cultivators, causing quite a few losses."

As Yue Qing spoke, he glanced at Chu Ning and Bai Ling, somewhat suspiciously.

Chu Ning’s face didn’t change at all at this moment, nor did he ask further.

He simply said softly:

"If that’s the case, it seems finding them would be difficult, and I can’t deliver the item."

With that, Chu Ning stopped asking about the matter of Yaochi Palace, and instead turned to the matter of the Righteous and Demonic Paths in East Saint Continent.

The boundary between the Righteous and Demonic Paths in East Saint Continent is clear, and although there is friction among the Righteous Sects, it’s mainly minor.

Large-scale conflicts between these factions are rare.

But fights between the sects of the Righteous and Demonic paths occur occasionally.

This is different in the Western Alliance Continent, where sects form alliances and the distinction between Righteous and Demonic is not as clear.

However, the Righteous and Demonic paths are opposed in East Saint Continent, but are not united within themselves.

Hence, battles between the sects of the Righteous and Demonic paths in East Saint Continent are frequent.

Yaochi Palace was conquered by Purple Moon Sect, but similarly, some Demon sects have been wiped out by major Righteous forces.

Through Yue Qing, Chu Ning learned that Yaochi Palace is one of the sects recently exterminated in the conflict between Righteous and Demonic Paths.

Going back a hundred years, similar situations have occurred every five or ten years.

Chu Ning chatted with the two Golden Core cultivators from East Ruishan Sect for a long time before leaving the sect’s area.

From beginning to end, the Sect Leader of East Ruishan Sect didn’t invite Chu Ning into the sect.

And Chu Ning didn’t express any requests either, until Yue Qing shared a rough overview and didn’t wish to go into detail, Chu Ning then took leave.

Once Chu Ning and Bai Ling’s figures disappeared from sight, Yue Qing and Elder Li both relaxed.

"This person is clearly just a Golden Core Late Stage cultivator, but thinking about his powerful divine sense earlier and his age, he gives me an extremely dangerous feeling."

Yue Qing remarked, looking in the direction Chu Ning left.

"Fortunately, they didn’t mean any harm, just came to gather information."

Li Liquan also returned to his initial calm demeanor, but his voice was somewhat hesitant.

"These two are so young yet have such cultivation, they’re likely cultivators from a Major Sect.

However, they know a bit about East Saint Continent, though not deeply, which is quite strange.
