Eternal Life: I Can Sell Everything
Chapter 500 - 469: The Poison King Cauldron Stirs
Song Ciwan slowly traveled on a cloud through the wondrous, giant world.
Down below, Master Chen had already handed his stall at Petal Square over to Wu the Ninth.
Wu the Ninth was at a loss. His grasp of the foreign tongue was clumsy, and he was completely unable to handle the barrage of chattering questions from the Elf men and women.
In just a moment, he was utterly flustered. Master Chen had only just walked across a single petal when several of the Elves who had been gathered at the stall scattered.
Master Chen glanced back, glaring at Wu the Ninth with considerable annoyance.
Wu the Ninth ducked his head, a fawning, pleading smile on his face.
Master Chen waved his hand in exasperation and walked away. He had to go; there were things that needed to be done. There was nothing for it, even if business suffered.
Song Ciwan watched from afar on her cloud, mulling over the information she had just heard.
’The Chuzhou Zhang Family!’
’Could it be the same Chuzhou Zhang Family from the Stealth Race’s Third Princess’s wedding banquet?’
’It must be.’
Song Ciwan then recalled the snippets she had overheard at the banquet: ’Some members of the Chuzhou Zhang Family had reaped great rewards in a Spirit Realm Secret Realm and successfully formed a Golden Core!’
’Now it seems that it’s not enough for the Zhang Family to be Refining Golden Cores themselves—are they planning to spread the Golden Core Cultivation Method throughout the entire Nine Provinces?’
’In that case, does the person behind the mysterious Chuzhou Zhang Family know the secret of the Golden Core?’
Song Ciwan kept pace with Master Chen on her cloud, watching him run away from the cascading layers of the Petal Square at a speed comparable to a mortal’s sprint.
It was clear Master Chen wanted to go faster, but the atmosphere of this world was simply too oppressive. Even with the Cultivation of an Innate Second Transformation Martial Artist and practicing the Foundation Establishment Method simultaneously, he still couldn’t overcome the immense pressure.
Outside, in the Mortal World, he was an Innate Second Transformation expert who could leap hundreds of feet in a single bound. But here, in this wondrous, giant world, his speed was at most equivalent to that of a strong mortal.
In fact, it wasn’t just Master Chen; even Song Ciwan’s speed and reactions were suppressed by this world’s properties.
The space in this world was dense; Song Ciwan couldn’t even use her Space Shifting!
However, her comprehension was exceptional. In the short time she’d been flying on her cloud, she had already rapidly assimilated and understood the various auras and rhythms of this world.
It wasn’t as if a brief moment of insight could unravel all the world’s mysteries, but at the very least, her suppressed reflexes had noticeably improved.
If, when Song Ciwan had first entered this world, she could use perhaps less than ten percent of her full strength, now she could exert about thirty percent.
In comparison, Master Chen’s sluggish pace seemed so clumsy it was almost pitiful.
Song Ciwan wasn’t in a rush. She leisurely trailed him. Upon reaching the edge of the Petal Square, she watched Master Chen suddenly grab the pointed tip of a petal. He dangled from his high grip, then swung his legs to hook them onto the calyx below.
Master Chen hooked the calyx with his feet. Then, he dropped his body down, and with a single leap, jumped from the calyx to the flower stem.
The flower stem was enormous, while Master Chen was tiny.
He wrapped his arms around the massive flower stem and, like an ant, slid swiftly down.
Then, halfway down his slide, huge, triangular barbs began to appear on the stem.
Master Chen carefully maneuvered around the barbs, then continued hugging the stem and sliding down...
The whole process created an almost ridiculously exaggerated contrast between the tiny man and the enormous stem. At first glance, the scene was even a little cute—
If Master Chen were better looking, the cuteness of the scene would be beyond doubt.
Unfortunately, Master Chen was a sturdy Martial Artist with a rough face and a lean build, so the scene didn’t seem cute, but rather quite comical.
Song Ciwan couldn’t help but widen her eyes. Her gaze remained on Master Chen for a long time, and she felt as if she’d just had her eyes opened to a whole new sight.
’This giant world... is truly fascinating.’
Along the way, Master Chen encountered five or six insects his own size, such as aphids and ladybugs. There were ants, of course, and even a snail...
The snail was even bigger, about five times Master Chen’s size.
Fortunately, the snail was slow. Master Chen carefully avoided it, so he didn’t need to confront the behemoth.
Along the way, a pretty girl riding a dragonfly flew past Master Chen. With a sweet, friendly smile, she greeted him enthusiastically in a language Song Ciwan couldn’t understand.
"&*...*"
Song Ciwan couldn’t understand what the girl was saying, but from her gestures, she was perhaps asking if Master Chen needed help.
Master Chen hastily waved his hand, refusing the girl’s offer of help.
The girl didn’t seem annoyed. She just chattered on for another moment, then waved goodbye to Master Chen and flew off into the distance on her dragonfly.
Master Chen discreetly wiped the sweat from his brow. His expression relaxed as he resumed his slide down the flower stem.
The entire process was arduous and long, taking a full hour.
After landing, Master Chen began to run deep into the field of flowers.
The flower field was vast, stretching beyond the horizon. Once on the ground, Master Chen found himself in a jungle of giant flowers; it was more like he was running through an endless world of Flower Branches.
Needless to say, Master Chen’s journey was not an easy one.
The world of the Flower Branch jungle seemed peaceful and serene, but was actually fraught with danger.
The jungle was home to swarms of giant ants, as well as highly aggressive insects like grasshoppers, praying mantises, and centipedes. When Master Chen encountered them, he managed to avoid them six times out of ten, but the remaining four times, a fight was inevitable.
It wasn’t as if Master Chen had completely lost his fighting ability. An iron chain was coiled around his waist. During combat, he could infuse it with his Qi Blood, and when the chain struck the ground, it was able to leave shallow marks.
Don’t underestimate these shallow marks. After all, the aura of this world was oppressive and its matter incredibly dense. The fact that Master Chen could leave even shallow marks on the ground suggested that in the outside world, he was undoubtedly an expert far surpassing ordinary Innate Second Transformation masters.
He dodged and weaved, pushing his Martial Techniques to their limits. Even when he encountered giant insects like mantises and centipedes a full ten times his size, he could still manage to break free and escape with his life after a drawn-out struggle. That in itself was an incredible feat.
Meanwhile, Song Ciwan, trailing him from the clouds, found her eyes lighting up at the sight of the insects below.
She could feel it—the Poison King Cauldron at her waist was growing slightly warm!
’Perhaps the insects of this giant world are worthy of being collected by my Poison King Cauldron.’
So Song Ciwan descended from her cloud. Master Chen walked with difficulty ahead, while Song Ciwan followed silently behind.
Whenever they encountered venomous insects like centipedes, Song Ciwan would bring out her Poison King Cauldron. With its overwhelmingly powerful suction, she would pull the giant creature directly into the cauldron!
Though the poisonous creatures were enormous and the Poison King Cauldron appeared small and delicate, it actually contained a vast pocket dimension. No matter how large the insect, the cauldron could devour it without a doubt.
The size of the Poison King Cauldron wasn’t the issue; the only question was whether Song Ciwan, who controlled it, was strong enough.
