Eternal Life by Dual Cultivation

Chapter 590 - 323: Celestial Grade Superior Spirit Root

Night fell. Across the vast, boundless firmament, a silent and mysterious ocean of stars came into view, its immeasurable light cascading down like waves.

High in the sky, tens of thousands of feet in the air, a Tianzhou Skyboat of ancient design, shrouded in a heavy, brilliant glow, sped silently onward. In the blink of an eye, it vanished over the horizon.

On the spacious foredeck, Ling Changqing reclined on a lavish divan, a wine jar in hand. An azure jade table before him was laden with snacks and refreshments as he enjoyed the attentive service of his many beautiful companions, casually chatting with them about anecdotes from the Cultivation Realm.

"...This Ancient Spiritual Treasure is quite nice. It’s incredibly fast, rivaling even some of the Dragon Race’s heavy artifacts!"

So said the pure-faced Luo Binghu, a sweet smile gracing her lips. She was currently sitting on Ling Changqing’s lap, her snow-white dress sheer and delicate, offering an unobstructed view of her stunningly alluring figure. Even the Purple Thunder Hammer that never left her side had been put away.

Ling Changqing nodded, gently caressing her smooth, firm waist. "If we don’t run into any trouble, we should be able to reach our destination in less than half a month."

This Tianzhou Skyboat was from the secret vault of the Hongmeng Divine Hall. With Meng Feiyu at the helm, its speed was truly unparalleled.

Coupled with Ling Changqing periodically unleashing the great power of the Bian Wujian Gate to perform long-distance spatial shifts, they had left the Qingyao Continent far behind in just three days.

Xue Qingtan chuckled, covering her mouth. "If you advance to the Divinity Transformation Realm, husband, I imagine we’ll be able to travel freely with you to the other great continents."

"Yes, it won’t be long now."

’Once I reach the Divinity Transformation Realm,’ Ling Changqing thought, ’I’ll be able to unleash even greater power from the Bian Wujian Gate. Its teleportation range will increase, and I’ll be able to use it at least three times a day.’

’At that rate, a round trip from the coastal waters of Yuzhou to the Hongmeng Divine Hall deep within the Qinghao Continent would only take a few days.’

’It wouldn’t be a problem to arrange for a group of Ling Family disciples to practice their cultivation in seclusion there year-round. I could even consider moving the family’s main headquarters.’

’By then, even if my identity is exposed, I won’t have to worry about the reactions from the major powers.’

The array restrictions of the Hongmeng Divine Hall were so formidable that even if those powers joined forces and sent a grand army to attack, they would suffer an unbearable price.

"Husband, actually... once the Doumu Immortal Palace re-emerges, it could also be used as a secret hall for the family."

Xue Qingtan continued. Not long ago, both she and Meng Feiyu had broken through to the Void Refining Realm, meaning the Ling Family’s top-tier combat strength had increased significantly.

Another benefit was that their past-life memories had largely returned, allowing them to recall more information about ancient extreme forbidden realms and the ruins of cave mansion halls. In the future, they could go and plunder them for opportunities.

"There’s no rush. We can make arrangements for that later."

Ling Changqing agreed. If the situation in the Yuzhou Cultivation Realm ever became truly dire, he could decide to relocate the entire Ling Family off the Qingyao Continent with but a single thought.

The Tianzhou Skyboat sped onward. Gazing down from tens of thousands of feet in the air, one could see the vast, endless, mist-shrouded Deep Sea Ocean below. The water was so profoundly deep that it appeared pitch-black.

Islands of varying shapes and sizes were scattered across the vast ocean, some of which had even given rise to Spirit Vein Blessed Lands.

Gale-force winds howled across the surface of the sea, and massive waves, hundreds of feet high, would periodically surge forth, their rising and falling an awesome, terrifying display.

Amidst the endless waves, colossal deep-sea beasts of astounding size and varied forms would occasionally flicker in and out of view, a heart-stopping sight to behold.

Most of these members of the Sea Race possessed cultivation equivalent to Golden Core Masters or Nascent Soul True Monarchs, and experts at the Divinity Transformation Realm were not uncommon either.

Furthermore, in the deepest parts of the abyssal trenches, there were even Demon King Great Powers at the Void Refining Realm. A rare few of them carried the bloodlines of Primordial Exotic Species. If one could capture a few alive, they would fetch a heavenly price in any of the major top-tier Marketplaces.

"...Husband, can you let me go down and play for a bit? I’ll be right back."

At his side, the Kunpeng Maiden, Qingsi, leaned in close. She wore a pale gold, wide-sleeved long dress, and her features were as beautiful as a dream. She rubbed her voluptuous body against him, her tone pleading and coquettish.

Ling Changqing knew she was hungry and nodded. "Alright. I’ll give you three hours. Just be careful."

"Okay!"

Qingsi cheered, throwing her arms around Ling Changqing for a kiss. Then, her tall, curvaceous figure transformed into a streak of light and vanished.

When she reappeared, she was amidst the boundless waves. Driven by her immense Magical Power, a whirlpool hundreds of miles in diameter began to form.

Over twenty Sea Beasts shaped like giant sharks, each with cultivation approaching that of a Nascent Soul True Monarch, were unable to evade in time. The sudden whirlpool swept them all in, rendering their desperate struggles useless.

A series of roars and bloodcurdling screams followed. Within a few breaths, the life had been snuffed out of the unlucky creatures. Their most vital Inner Cores were gouged out, all of them becoming a meal for Qingsi.

The Kunpeng Maiden had a massive appetite. A single meal for her was more than all the other women ate combined. Even a power on the level of the Nine Great Cultivation Families of Yuzhou would likely find it difficult to support her long-term.

That was why Meng Feiyu allowed her to hunt freely in the Deep Sea Ocean, preying on High Grade Sea Beasts to sate her hunger with their Inner Cores.

And so, whenever Qingsi went to sea to forage, any sea fish and Sea Beasts of the Third Grade or higher were in for some seriously bad luck, becoming her meals in droves.

Fortunately, once Qingsi had eaten her fill, she could stay home contentedly for several months, or even years. Otherwise, she would have eaten the Sea Race in the coastal waters of Yuzhou into extinction.
