Eternal Cultivation Of Alchemy
Chapter 3911: Long Huan’s Battle
Long Huan arrived at the arena once his number was called and stood before his enemy.
The man before him looked confused for a second, wondering if there was some sort of mistake. After all, Long Huan’s cultivation base was only in the Immortal Origin realm. A person with such a weak cultivation base should have been in one of the lower groups.
How did he rank alongside him?
Long Huan had a similarly confused expression as he looked at the man before him. With his Immortal Spirit 7th realm cultivation, Long Huan wondered how the man hadn’t gone to a lower group as well. However, he quickly remembered something about people in the upper levels of the Immortal Spirit realm, and his confusion vanished.
The man was exactly where he needed to be.
So was he.
The moment the battle began, Long Huan was dealt a simple attack as a test. Flaming arrows appeared all around him, which the man let loose the moment they formed.
Long Huan watched the arrows fly toward him and could hardly react in time at all. All the arrows struck him directly, exploding into a bright cloud.
The attacker paused, even more confused now. Was he wrong? He had expected Long Huan to have some artifact or maybe some skill that gave him the credibility to appear on this stage. But seeing how he failed to even react to the attack, he wondered if he had made some mistake.
Before he could fully finish that thought, however, Long Huan jumped out of the flames, flying toward his opponent at a speed that dwarfed even the arrows that had come for him.
The man reacted in time, quickly employing a defensive shield before him that formed out of Wood Energy. Long Huan punched the shield and shattered it into a thousand splinters. It was only then that the man realized his mistake.
He had assumed his enemy would have something strong enough to contend with him.
He hadn’t expected that something to be his entire body.
Unable to waste a single precious second, the image of a bright red feather appeared behind the man as strange flames formed out of both his palms. But Long Huan was already there, and he simply didn’t allow his opponent to use his attack.
Before the Spirit could fully take effect, Long Huan directly punched his enemy in the chest, sending his body flying like a ragdoll before it crashed into the barrier around the arena.
The man fell to the ground, vomiting blood as he wheezed in and out.
The referee didn’t waste a single second.
"We have our winner."
Long Huan raised his hand in victory and looked around at the people and their cheers with a wide smile.
Thanks to the fruit and elixir, his body cultivation had also improved to the Divine realm. Below the Divine realm, it was impossible for someone to be his opponent.
He had thought about joining the Body Cultivators’ tournament, but he didn’t want to be in the same group as Graham, as that was almost a guarantee. And if that happened, he simply had no chance of winning.
The Qi and Dao tournaments didn’t make sense for him. And while he had some skill with the sword and spear, neither was impressive enough to participate in a tournament with.
As a result, his only choice ended up being the regular tournament.
He walked out of the arena excited, but that excitement didn’t last long at all after he rested and watched the other opponents.
It became clear in that moment that he was not going to win this group at all.
However, victory was not what he had come here for.
He had come here to learn and improve himself.
If he could do that, it would be enough for him.
’Hannah has already far surpassed me. I cannot let myself be a burden to her much longer.’
He wanted to prove to everyone that he wasn’t a leech. His status didn’t just come from his wife. Just like he had wanted to prove that his status in life before hadn’t come from his father.
He was so much more than his wife and his father.
He was going to prove he was so much more.
’Soon,’ he thought. ’As soon as I reach the next realm, I’ll get started on my Creations right away.’
He had split his Origins into 2 different ones. And for both of them, he already had his desired Creations in mind.
Hopefully, he could make good use of them.
After a while, his name was called again, and he went back to fight.
Back in the hall, Alex and the rest watched Long Huan’s battles whenever they came up.
Aside from Long Huan, Alex saw a lot of the people he had met back in the Red Heaven Realm in this very competition. Most of the people who were close to reaching the Divine realm but hadn’t had enough Divine Qi to be able to participate in this group, because of which a lot of Long Huan’s enemies ended up being Immortals who could use Divine Qi.
Having seen their opponent’s battles, no one gave Long Huan a chance to surprise them, as they all immediately resorted to Divine Qi whenever the fight started. That made the battles last a little longer than usual. However, as their Qi wasn’t affecting Long Huan much at all, he successfully won his battles.
He rose through the group without faltering even once until he reached the semifinals, where he met one of the stronger participants in the tournament.
This time, his opponent was no mere Immortal, but a bona fide Divinity.
From what one could tell, the man was a new Divinity, but that didn’t change the fact that he was one. That not only gave him access to a lot more Divine Qi than Immortals had, but also gave him access to a Creation that was far stronger than anything else.
And after a long battle, Long Huan lost to the Divinity.
