Eternal Cultivation Of Alchemy

Chapter 3160 Different Tests

Chapter 3160 Different Tests

Alex didn’t speak out on his findings just yet. He would have to experiment first, and he wondered how he was going to try that out. After a quick thought, he spoke to the snake.

“Senior Luhei, do something for me, please. While you’re cultivating, can you stop your heart from pumping blood?” Alex asked.

The snake gave a strange look, confused by the request, but he complied just as well. His heart stopped, his blood no longer flowing through his body. Everything went catatonic as only the Qi moved around the body as the snake continued cultivating.

Alex kept his senses focused on the snake’s body, making sure he was seeing every little change that occurred inside. Now that the blood had stopped doing its job, Qi took over to keep the snake alive.

It seeped out of the endpoints in the meridians, keeping the snake’s body active. No excess Qi flowed out of the meridians thankfully, and it especially didn’t seep out into the blood beyond the merged meridians.

“Keep it up please. For as long as you can,” Alex said, finally relaxing after a few minutes when nothing changed.

The matriarch waited until Alex was relaxed before asking what he was doing.

“I noticed something earlier and I wanted to test a few things,” Alex said. He quickly explained the situation of how the bloodline in the blood weakened after passing through the Qi.

Alex didn’t know whether that destroyed bloodline did anything or not, which was what he wanted to check.

“What’s the point of stopping his heart? If no blood flows, then nothing will be used,” the matriarch said.

“That is what I wanted to test first,” Alex said. “I know the bloodline

elements are dying and vanishing, but do they have anything to do with improving one’s bloodline? What if it is better to keep as much of the concentrated bloodline in his body as possible so his Unity makes the changes happen faster?”

“That… sounds illogical,” the matriarch said. “If he’s not spending anything, then I don’t see anything improving.”

Alex nodded. “I doubt anything will happen. If I’m not wrong, his situation will remain the exact same as it is right now.”

The matriarch frowned. “So? Why are you doing this?”

“Because I want to know for certain that is the case,” Alex said. “I am doing experiments and I can’t decide to not follow along with one of the possibilities just because I think I know what the outcome is most likely going to be. I can’t work on possibilities. I need to know things for certain.”

The matriarch looked at Alex in a new light. She took in his words and slowly nodded. “Okay. I can see the merit in your words. You may continue.”

“Thank you, matriarch.”

A few hours passed and the inevitable came to pass as well. Xuan Luhei had made absolutely no improvement in his bloodline.

“That’s enough,” Alex said. “You can let your heart beat again.”

The snake nodded and did so.

Alex decided to let the snake follow through the rest of the cultivation session until the blood once again reached an equilibrium. It took a longer time now, even when not counting the few hours that had been spent on the other experiment.

Alex drained all the blood once again and checked it immediately. This time, there were a lot more dead bloodline elements, most likely because it had remained stationary for a long time, but he would have to experiment more.

For the next session, Alex gave the snake a different task. Instead of filling his body with all the blood, he had the snake cultivate with bits of blood that he would pour into his bloodstream, and he had to move those blood to the sections of his blood vessel that merged with the meridians.

Alex wanted all the blood to remain with the Qi as much as it could while the snake was cultivating. That way, he could see just how well it would work when compared to the other methods.

Xuan Luhei messed up a few times at the start, but slowly he got the hang of what he had to do. Bit by bit, he took in the blood, placing it where it met the Qi for nearly a full minute before moving it on and taking in more blood.

Alex kept his senses on that portion of blood and quickly nodded as his thoughts became true. A lot of the bloodline elements had indeed died just then, with a small portion of it disappearing completely.

Alex poured in the blood, a bit at a time, and went on as it took 3 whole hours for the blood he poured into the snake to fill its body entirely. At the end of the 3 hours, Alex finally stopped and let the snake cultivate normally while he examined his body.

“Incredible,” the matriarch said from the side. “Whatever you made him do, it’s increased the efficiency by quite a bit. He’s recovering his bloodline much faster now.”

Alex nodded. “I had hoped that would be the case.”

She turned toward Alex. “This should be a cause for celebration, but I

see no look of excitement on your face. Was the result less than what

you expected?”

“Hmm? Oh, no. I’m not disappointed,” Alex said. “The result is what I

had hoped after all.”

“Then?”

“I feel like I’m wasting a lot of it,” Alex said. “Most of the bloodline elements are dying. I don’t know why. I’m trying to understand, but

sensing what happens inside the Qi is so difficult to do.”

“What are you seeking?” the matriarch asked. “My senses are stronger

than yours. Tell me what I need to search for.”

Alex raised an eyebrow. “Right! You can help me.”

He quickly gathered a bit of blood and had the matriarch focus within

it at the tiny particles that were hardly visible.

“Do you see the tiny red particles beyond the regular blood?” Alex asked. “Those are something known as the bloodline elements. I need to understand what is happening to them when they mix with his Qi.”
