Chapter 3120 Another Victim
Chapter 3120 Another Victim
Alex spent nearly two weeks with the female dragon, spending every moment he could learning about the bloodline.
Doing so for two weeks was bound to anger any beast, let alone an Azure Dragon, but when Alex gave her a cultivation pill at the end of the first week, with promises of more every other week, the dragon was more than happy to stay with him.
She questioned Alex from time to time about how he came across the pills, trying to get him to slip up and mention the truth instead of what she believed to be the lie-that he had made those pills.
There was no way someone could make that many pills.
But she didn’t speak her thoughts aloud, lest he take away the pills. Nine-veined pills weren’t rare to find, but they cost so much that she would happily take all that were given to her.
Around the end of the second week, Alex noticed a blue-haired man stroll out from the forest far away and meet with Pearl. He couldn’t help but smile when he recognized that another Azure Dragon had finally shown up.
He slowly pulled his senses from Qing Fuojia’s body, causing her to look at him with a confused expression.
“Stay here, I’ll be back in a bit,” Alex said, suddenly teleporting away. Truthfully, there was nothing keeping the female dragon from running away. Her oath did not restrain her there, after all.
If she wanted to leave, she very well could. Alex just hoped she didn’t. Even if she did, he didn’t think it would matter, considering he already had a new dragon to work with.
Alex arrived on top of a rock in an open grassland, with Pearl standing on one side with his spear, and the human-form dragon on the other side, with green aura covering his feet.
The dragon turned to Alex with a confused look for a moment, not entirely sure what was going on.
“Pearl, do you want to continue, or should I take over?” Alex asked.
“Who the hell are you?” the dragon asked. “Get out of here. You’re not welcome.”
Alex didn’t look at the dragon and instead waited for Pearl to answer. “He’s weaker than the other one,” Pearl said. “I will fight him.”
Alex nodded and let them fight.
The battle started off strong but quickly devolved into the two beasts teleporting around, dodging each other’s attacks. The Azure Dragon was a smidge faster than Pearl at both teleporting and reacting, but that didn’t stop Pearl from keeping the battle balanced, where neither side had a chance at winning.
Pearl fought for some time before he found an opportunity to attack. He distorted space with his Intent and stabbed the dragon in a way where he had no way of dodging.
The dragon didn’t dodge the attack at all. When the attack finally landed, Pearl was surprised to hear the sound of metal striking metal. The robes the dragon wore were torn apart, revealing scale armor underneath that had blocked the attack.
The force had still knocked him back, but there was no damage. “So you can use it,” the Azure Dragon said. “You can’t hide it from us.”
Alex could tell the Azure Dragon had gotten what he wanted-proof that Pearl knew more than just a single Spatial Dao-and was ready to leave. But before he could, Alex teleported next to him.
Space distorted around the dragon, and he could not leave. He turned around in horror and quickly attacked Alex, but Alex was faster. He punched, his fist making a dent in the armor, the force blasting into the dragon’s body.
Blood poured out of the beast’s mouth and nose, his mind growing hazy.
Alex quickly collected the blood, not letting any go to waste. He was starting to understand that the blood of an Azure Dragon was going to be very useful beyond just learning about the bloodline.
The dragon stumbled backward, cursing and shouting at Alex. Alex checked the dragon’s wounds and knew that he could survive even more. Sword aura covered his palm, and he sliced forward, cutting
the dragon’s leg.
More blood poured out of the dragon’s body, and he fell backward, slowly starting to lose his mind. He brought out a healing pill, but Alex stepped on his fingers, destroying the pill along with it.
He brought out a pill of his own. “It’s a nine-veined healing pill,” he said, showing it to the dragon, whose eyes were bloodshot. “Do you
want it?”
The dragon glared at him, not speaking.
“If you want it, you just have to make a simple oath,” Alex said. “If not,
I’m willing to let you die.”
The dragon wanted nothing more than to kill Alex, but given the situation, he had to hold back. “What… what do you want?”
Alex grinned widely.
Five minutes later, the dragon was in his beast form, having healed
from all wounds. There was a look of surprise on his face from everything he had been told, as well as a sour look from having been forced to make an oath.
And Alex had made sure that this oath was much less flexible than the
one that Qing Fuojia had sworn to him.
“So, you’re the one we have been searching for?” the dragon asked.
“I’m afraid so,” Alex said. “Only, I’m not an Azure Dragon.”
“What sort of beast are you?” the dragon asked.
Alex blinked. “Uhh… that’s a secret.”
The dragon didn’t say anything.
“You can go on with your day, Pearl. I’ll take him with me now,” Alex
said. “I’ll see you next time when another one of them arrives.”
Pearl nodded. “See you later, brother.”
Alex manipulated the space around the dragon, and the two of them
teleported back to where Alex had come from earlier.
Qing Fuojia had been waiting silently, not leaving the place. The
benefit she got there outweighed her departure right then. Alex looked at her with a satisfied smile. “Great, you stayed. I might
just reward you for that.”
Qing Fuojia smiled. She very much liked these rewards.
