Eternal Cultivation Of Alchemy

Chapter 3018: Cultivation Base Reverted

Chapter 3018: Cultivation Base Reverted

Alex and the rest arrived at Scarlet’s room, with her mother close by.

Bai Jingshen looked around, both confused and worried. He sensed the formation working in the room that did the same as what his earrings were doing and slowly deactivated his earrings.

The formations would help them hide for now.

“What did you do exactly?” he asked Alex.

“I hid a tree in the forest,” Alex said simply.

It wasn’t just Bai Jingshen who gave him a confused look. “Did people really not notice that you came here?” Scarlet’s mother asked.

“Yes. They can’t track my teleportation,” Alex said. He turned toward Bai Jingshen. “Imagine space as a calm pond. A single ripple is noticeable, can be tracked. What I did was akin to splashing the water in all directions around me before moving within those splashes. Whatever ripple the teleportation would’ve left behind has now mixed in with those other splashes.”

Bai Jingshen’s eyes widened slightly. “I see. You did hide the tree in the forest.”

“Sister!” Pearl gasped. “Your cultivation base!”

Scarlet smiled from the side. “Yes, it’s reversed. Back to being a fresh new Immortal,” she said with a slightly awkward smile.

Alex turned. “You used the pill?” he asked.

Scarlet nodded.

“How was it? Did it hurt? How is your body?” Alex asked, quickly walking up to her, his senses scanning her body for any backlash she might’ve received from the pill.

The Second Chance Pill not only undid all the improvements to her Qi but also fully got rid of any Origin or Spirit one might have in them.

Thankfully, Alex could tell that there had been no side effects from the pill aside from the obvious weakness that came with falling back on one’s cultivation base.

This was not like Qi Deviation where a reverted cultivation base also did undue damage to one’s body. In Scarlet’s case, her body was perfectly fine.

In fact, it was even technically better.

While there had been some changes to her physical body due to the pill, it was minute enough that Scarlet could walk it off. More than that, because her body itself hadn’t reverted along with her Qi, her body was technically primed and ready to break through should she wish to.

All she would really have to focus on was slowly improving the quality of her Qi, and she would be on her way back to reaching her regular cultivation base again.

The journey henceforth would be much smoother for her.

“Was there any pain?” Alex asked.

“A little,” Scarlet said. “I felt as though my meridians were being pricked with needles all throughout my body. And I had a splitting headache for all of 5 minutes. But then, I bled out most of the Qi and I was fine.”

“She screamed quite a bit for a few minutes, so I was kind of worried,” Scarlet’s mother said. “But she is fine now. She says she did it because of a technique you gave her. Is it as good as she claims it is?”

Alex paused. “Has she explained what it does yet?” he asked.

Xianhei shook her head.

“Hmm. Why don’t you take a look at what it does with Pearl. He’ll show you his Spiritual Sea.”

Pearl nodded and let Scarlet’s mother peek into his Spiritual Sea where they were lost for a while.

Alex took the time to thoroughly make sure that he hadn’t missed anything regarding Scarlet’s health.

“It’s alright,” Scarlet said. “My mother is an alchemist too. She’s made sure I’m okay.”

Alex nodded, but he didn’t stop. Scarlet let him do his thing. After a while, Alex finally stopped, fully certain that he had checked everything. If at this point there was still something he had missed, then he was never meant to find it.

“Eat those fruits whenever you have the chance,” Alex explained. “You will find yourself becoming satiated quickly, at which point stop until you have your appetite again. And the Elixir, eat a lot of those before you cultivate. You need to cultivate to absorb them into your body.”

Scarlet smiled. “I know. I know. You wrote it all down in the talisman.”

Alex nodded. He looked at her eyes. “It’s a shame you can’t use Demon Eyes.”

“It only works for someone below the Immortal Realm, doesn’t it? The paste is useless otherwise,” Scarlet asked.

“Yes. And it didn’t work well on beasts either. I managed to improve that bit while I was in the Myriad Spirit Realm, but Pearl had already broken through by then too. So only Whisker can use it now,” Alex said.

Scarlet shrugged. “I’ll live.”

Alex chuckled.

Scarlet’s mother came out from Pearl’s Spiritual Sea with eyes wide as saucers. “F-four,” she said in a low gasp. “Is… is that the same with you as well?”

“Something like that,” Alex said. “I’m sure your daughter will have that many too. She is talented.”

Xianhei found it hard to believe such a thing was even possible. And more than that, her daughter had received it too. “That is truly incredible. How come I have never heard of such a thing?” she asked. “There should be many more people in this world that can—”

The door opened suddenly and Ningzhu walked in. “Little Huo! He’s gone. I need yo— Oh!” he paused, seeing the group that was in that room. “You’re here. I was trying to find you.”

“Greetings, Senior,” Alex quickly bowed. “You were searching for me?”

“Yes. You suddenly disappeared and we couldn’t tell where you had gone,” Ningzhu said. “How did you come here?”

“We just did,” Alex said.

Ningzhu was about to say something when he looked toward Scarlet. “What’s wrong with your cultivation base? Why is it so weak?” he asked.

“I ate a pill to reverse it,” Scarlet explained.

“Huh? Why?” Ningzhu asked with a confused look.

“I will explain later, Grandfather,” she said. “You came looking for them?”

“Hmm, oh, yes,” Ningzhu said, turning toward Alex. “Well, I really just needed to make sure you weren’t hurt or anything. You aren’t leaving soon, are you? The Matriarch wants to speak with you at least once before you do.”
