Chapter 2975: Things to Do

Chapter 2975: Things to Do

Alex watched Bladedance and Battlesage stand atop the formation from a distance, with many beasts surrounding them. He saw his Master give him a silent nod, and Alex gave a nod back.

The formation activated and in a flash of light, followed up by a maelstrom of energy, both of the two were teleported away.

The formation lay vacant afterward as the two were now gone to the Sacred Lotus Dominion.

Alex let out a breath he had been holding for some time. He laughed a little and said, “She really put me in a bind with what she did. I now only have 30 years to return.”

“We’ll be done by that time, brother,” Pearl said. “I promise.”

“I hope so.”

Bai Jingshen spoke up. “Well, if it is any consolation, you have a few more years than just 3 decades,” he said.

Alex turned toward Bai Jingshen with a confused look. “What do you mean?” he asked.

“Just that it might take a bit longer for these people to get to their destination,” Bai Jingshen said.

Alex narrowed his eyes. “Did you give them the wrong direction?”

“Nope,” Bai Jingshen said. “I just gave them the wrong destination instead.”

“Wrong destination?” Alex asked in surprise. “Where did you send them?”

“I told them they were headed toward the Sacred Lotus realm, but I instead sent them toward the Golden Dao realm,” Bai Jingshen said with a grin on his face.

Pearl cocked his head. “Isn’t the Golden Dao realm still one of the human Immortal realms? What does sending them there achieve differently from any other realm?”

“It buys us time,” Alex said with a slightly astonished face. “Even if they reach there in just 3 decades, it will take them time to get the news to the Storm God.”

Bai Jingshen nodded. “I heard about the Storm God living in the Divine Thunderforge realm, so I sent them to the realm that is the furthest away, which just happens to be the Golden Dao realm.”

“That’s… incredible!” Alex said. “That does buy us time. A lot of time.”

Bai Jingshen nodded. “Hopefully that’s enough that even if you don’t make it in time, you’re still fine.”

“Let’s hope so,” Alex said. “How do you know so much about the human Immortal realms and where they are?”

Bai Jingshen tapped on the earring on his right ear. “My master gave me a map, among other things, to use with my earrings.”

Alex couldn’t help but sigh. “Must be nice being the Godkiller’s only disciple,” he said.

“I can’t lie, it’s nice.”

They left the western shore and returned to the White Tiger’s palace. This time, Alex didn’t go to his room in the outer palace and instead transferred over to Pearl’s room.

He was told that he would soon have a small identification to name him family to Pearl, so that he wouldn’t be stopped or questioned on the way in and out of the palace.

Alex was thankful to the guards who told him so, but he wasn’t sure if he would be doing a lot of going in and out. As far as he knew, the next few months were going to be spent all inside that very room.

Alex and Pearl both needed to go on a lengthy cultivation session to quickly break through to the next realm. Which meant he had a lot of pills to make.

At his current strength, it would take him no more than an hour or two to make dozens of pills, but he wanted to do it a few at a time. He wanted to take the time to think about whether or not he wanted the Pill Lightning to be his Creation. Discover more novels at novèlfire.net

It was an important decision to be made, so he had to consider it seriously, which needed ample time.

Alex began making the pills, and not long after, the pill clouds arrived. They shot multiple lightning bolts down at his cauldron, leaving behind a trace of aura for him to protect the pills from.

After making a few pills and focusing on the lightning bolts the entire time, Alex came to fully understand that if he were to get this as his Creation, it could absolutely not work as an offensive Creation.

It wasn’t even the fact that it was generally weaker than other lightning bolts that struck down from the heaven such as the Tribulation Lightning or Heavenly Judgment, but rather the fact that it fully avoided the human itself.

It struck past any human, never truly harming them, and went directly for the pill instead. If he were to ever use it offensively, it would likely never hurt the person he was attacking.

“That’s slightly annoying,” Alex thought.

Even so, he was more or less beginning to settle on the idea of forming a Creation out of pill lightning. As an Alchemist, it was bound to be handy sooner or later.

“I just have to make sure one of the other remaining Creations of mine is more battle oriented,” he thought to himself. “That, or I need to immediately start working on my Sword Heart. So long as I form a proper one, I should be close to being done.”

From what he understood, Sword Heart was more of a leap to the next stage rather than a gradual incline. So, if he somehow managed to combine all 3 of his Sword Intents into one and separate himself from them, he would have a Sword Heart.

At that point, he could immediately move on to the next step and form his Dao Swords.

After a few days, the pills were done.

Alex left his room to give them to Pearl so they could start cultivating right away. When he did, however, he was told that he would have to delay that for a while.

“We’ve received a letter from the patriarch of the Azure Dragons,” Pearl said. “He wants to meet me, brother.”

Alex raised his eyebrows. “The Azure Dragon’s patriarch? That’s great news,” he said. “When do we leave?”
