Chapter 2599 - 2599: Something Weird
It had been a while since Alex had to make the storage bag. He didn’t want anyone else to see what he was about to do, so he had to find a quiet place for it.
Whatever he showed, it would make these people excited for the time being, but with time, they would realize that they would never be able to do what he did, which would end up getting them demotivated in the end. Sadly, there was no way around it with their lack of Spirit stones and metal.
Alex left in the middle of the night and went to the mountain where he was going to make the storage bag.
Making a storage bag required a few things. First, he had to create Qi lines inside of the leather itself, mostly created in circles. The more circles there were, the larger the space within it would hold.
He had to heat up the leather from the inside, which was what would make it flexible enough to accept the new Qi lines.
Since there was nothing outside to help him, Alex had to rely all on his own.
Without Heaven, there was a level of difficulty to this that he hadn’t expected. The Dao he used also felt quite… naked, as if there was nothing coating it to make it easier to use.
The Dao in usage there was quite raw since all that he was really doing was using his Intent to mold the Qi in his body to act one way. Because of how in line with the law of the world his Intent was for that particular heat Dao, he thankfully didn’t have to use a lot of Intent to make it work.
The impossibility of the task was a lot less.
After some time, the Qi lines were ready, so he tied the leather into a pouch with a small string. Now, all that was left was to pour the space into the leather.
Most times, there would be a formation involved to make that happen. But Alex had no formation at all. And he didn’t have the aid of Heaven to make things easier either.
He had to do it all by himself.
Using as much Intent as he could, Alex controlled the space before him, dragging it all toward the pouch.
The amount he managed to control was pitiful compared to what should have been possible usually. The Storm God’s seal might have been the reason for this reduction in his output, but there was something going on with Hell itself that made it difficult as well.
Alex struggled and dragged in more and more of the space, placing it all onto the pouch. By the time he could drag no more, the storage bag was ready with a mere space of around 5 meters in radius.
Had this been any other world, it would’ve been considered a pathetic amount even for cheap storage bags. It should have been 10 times this amount, but he couldn’t do it.
‘If only my Intent was stronger,’ Alex thought.
He sighed at the result, but there was nothing he could do about it. What was done was done, so he grabbed the storage bag and checked inside. Thankfully, there seemed to be no errors at all, so it functioned properly.
Alex tried placing some rocks in and out and was happy with the result.
Once it was done, Alex returned.
Alex showed the chief and his family the storage bag but asked them not to let anyone else know about it. It was not something he could constantly make, so it was sadly the only one he had.
The chief was disappointed, but he understood.
Now that one part of his plan was done, Alex needed to complete the rest as well.
That day, he decided to teach everyone to use some offensive skills. Since Wushu and Tara were the only ones with a higher cultivation base, he started with those two.
Those two used harpoons and seemed to have no intention of learning to use swords, so Alex decided to teach them techniques that used no weapons at all. And since they were never going to get stronger than the True realm, he also decided to not teach them any complicated versions of those techniques.
He would teach them the simple one.
Since both of those two had Metal roots in them, Alex decided to teach them the Iron Fist Punch technique that created a simple fist-shaped strike with decent strength.
Since they were both great at using Qi, learning the technique would take them no time at all. Wushu, especially with his talent, would be quite fast.
Alex had taught them the technique during the morning, and by evening, Wushu came to meet him, saying that he had learned it.
“You did it?”
“Yes, but it doesn’t act like you said it does.”
Alex frowned. “What do you mean?”
Wushu tried to explain, but he realized it was easier to just show him. Metal Qi flowed into his fist as it gathered, and then he released it in a punch.
A fist-shaped strike flew out of his punch, flying toward the ocean. However, a certain distance away from Wushu, the attack simply vanished.
“Huh?” Alex hadn’t expected that to happen at all. “What was that?”
“That’s what I thought. You said it was supposed to go a long distance, didn’t you? Why is it disappearing so close to me?”
Alex frowned. “Do it again!” He kept a close eye on the attack this time.
Wushu did as asked and attacked, releasing a golden fist that flew away from him. At the same distance as previously, the attack vanished.
And this time, Alex saw what happened.
‘The Qi… it was ripped to shreds in an instant,’ he thought. ‘How?’
He quickly thought of something and walked to where Wushu stood. He released his spiritual sense at the same time and saw that it disappeared at the same distance where his Qi had vanished.
‘3 meters,’ Alex thought. ‘Why is it all disappearing in that distance?’
