Chapter 755: Chapter 658: Generous Rewards, Silver Treasure Chest Unlocked
Feng Mu gazed at the lottery ticket shimmering with a purple aura in his hand. Without hesitation, he used it, silently chanting in his mind:
"Draw!"
In an instant, the purple ticket exploded into countless dazzling particles of light.
The particles rapidly rotated and coalesced, finally transforming into a large, dazzling wheel before his eyes.
The wheel glistened with vibrant colors, and the runes and patterns flickered as if they held countless unknown possibilities.
As soon as the wheel took shape, it started spinning at an almost frantic speed, leaving trails of illusory light in its wake.
Feng Mu held his breath, his gaze magnetically drawn to the needle at the center, each burst of light, each shift of color, clearly tugging at his mind.
Gold, silver, purple, red, blue, green, white... The colors blurred into a mesmerizing band of light as the wheel spun rapidly.
No matter how many times he had experienced it, when the needle began to move, the anticipation and tension flooded uncontrollably into his heart.
The high-speed spinning wheel gradually decelerated, the dazzling lights slowly settling, and the colored regions became distinctly visible.
The needle passed over each segment, its speed growing slower and slower...
It trembled, the slender tip pointing directly at a narrow but extraordinarily brilliant—golden section!
Feng Mu’s heart nearly stopped that instant!
Gold?!!
S-grade equipment, with a winning probability of only 0.1%.
This thought flashed like lightning through Feng Mu’s mind, and he held his breath completely, afraid that even a breath might blow the needle off the wheel.
Time seemed to stretch infinitely.
The needle’s tip aligned with the edge of the golden area, seemingly about to freeze and bring him a joy far exceeding his expectations at any moment.
However, Destiny always plays its cruelest pranks at the climax.
Even without breathing, as the needle was about to stop, it... gave a little shiver.
Just this shiver.
Feng Mu instantly recalled the claw machine in the shopping malls of his previous life, the mechanical claw that always trembled subtly at the critical moment;
He also thought of the cafeteria auntie’s ladle full of food that inevitably shook before it landed, regardless if it was in his past or present life.
"Damn, it’s definitely rigged." Feng Mu cursed silently in his heart.
Did this system’s lottery mechanics get trained by claw machine manufacturers and cafeteria aunties?
Finally, the wheel stopped spinning, and the trembling needle landed just beside the golden... and exploded with a silver light.
[Congratulations, you have obtained a Phantom Axe (A-grade equipment)]
[Category: Agility System Equipment]
[Equipment Binding: Soul Imprint]
[Base Bonus: Agility +18, Attack Speed +25%.]
[Passive Effects:
Illusion Maze:
During high-speed movement, leaves illusions with substantial attack power behind, lasting 8 seconds (up to 10). Illusions have pseudo-entity and inherit part of the body’s attributes.
Shadow-Breaking Strike:
Illusions’ attacks ignore 15% of the target’s physical armor and add a [Tearing] effect (causing continuous bleeding damage).
Void Sensing (Advanced Evasion Instinct):
For each illusion generated, the evasion rate is increased by 1% globally. (Can be stacked with other evasion-related attributes.)
Illusion Bomb:
When illusions are killed by enemies, there is a 40% probability of them self-exploding, dealing corrosive damage to enemies within 10 meters.
Phantom Walk (Advanced Terrain Affinity):
Moving on any terrain is considered "flat ground," and movement speed is increased by 30%, footsteps completely silenced, making it hard to be detected by conventional means.
Active Effect 1—Phantom Assault:
Consumes a large amount of stamina, instantly dashing at super high speed in a designated direction (maximum distance 150 meters), creating two illusions behind all enemies in the path.
Illusions last for 15 seconds, possessing 50% of the original’s attack power and taking 300% damage.
Active Effect 2—Clone:
Actively creates 3 illusion clones, each inheriting 35% of the original’s attack power, capable of using some of the original’s skills, with health being 200% of the original, and will actively attack enemies to draw hate.
Duration 4 minutes, cooling 20 minutes.
(ps: Aside from clones created by active effects, other clones do not inherit the original’s skills and can only perform basic attacks!)
"So close, just a little bit more, system, did you secretly rig it again?"
Feng Mu speculated about the system’s "sense of fairness" with the utmost malice, filling his heart with silent complaints.
But it was all in vain, as the system provided no response at all, as the "sense of fairness" simply didn’t exist for the system.
It took a full five or six seconds before Feng Mu barely recovered from the depressing disappointment brought by the enormous gap.
S-grade, in the end, was only an illusion; the A-grade in front of him was the real gain.
He took a deep breath, forcing himself to focus back on the newly obtained equipment—this was also his first A-grade equipment.
Upon a close inspection, his initially gloomy mood was finally alleviated by the formidable attributes of the equipment, making things slightly better.
How to put it, no wonder it’s an A-grade equipment with only a 0.9% winning chance, its strength is simply outstanding.
The attribute value bonuses alone were enough to leave him speechless.
An addition of 18 points in agility, this defied belief.
You need to know, his current equipment, [Deceiver’s Glasses] and [Magician’s Card], two B-grade items combined, only provided a total of 14 attribute points.
Just from the numerical perspective, one piece of A-grade equipment almost equaled the sum of two and a half B-grade pieces.
And that was merely the attributes part; the long list of skills following was its real value’s testament, so tempting it made one’s mouth water.
[Illusion Maze] offered battlefield disruption and sustained output capacity, creating layers of illusions simply by moving, and the illusions were substantial. Combined with Soul-Seeking Step’s "Ghost Shadow," it added another layer of unpredictability.
[Shadow-Breaking Strike] not only pierced armor but also tore wounds, its lethality unquestionable.
[Void Sensing] enhanced evasion, as long as illusions persisted, evasion continued, massively increasing survival capabilities.
[Illusion Bomb] retaliated even at death, creating a burst of corrosive damage upon eruption, a quintessential example of "being annoying even after death."
[Phantom Walk] allowed me to move as if on flat ground, silencing footsteps, perfectly suiting stealth assassinations.
The other two active ones were also highly formidable.
[Phantom Assault] merged ultra-long-distance displacement, mass illusion generation, battlefield entry, and exit, making it glamorous and greatly effective in combat.
[Clone] could create tangible replicas capable of casting skills, enough to deceive. Their health was even higher than the original’s, excelling in sieges, luring enemies, or serving as decoys.
Feng Mu felt increasingly shocked while reading the skill descriptions.
Unlike [Deceiver’s Glasses] or [Magician’s Card], or [Deceitful Fog Cloak], although those three pieces also enhanced combat power, they were more or less inclined towards auxiliary functions.
In contrast, [Phantom Axe] was purely an all-out attack equipment, with each skill tailor-made for battle.
To put it another way, in gaming terms, [Phantom Axe] could serve as Feng Mu’s core main weapon for the current stage.
Feng Mu made the judgment, feeling increasingly excited, knowing a powerful main weapon would make a marked improvement in combat power.
With a thought, his hands felt a slight weight, and a peculiarly shaped battle axe manifested in his hands from nowhere.
The entire axe was a cold, silvery white, seemingly forged from some unknown metal, resembling solidified moonlight, cold to the touch, exuding a chilling sense of eeriness.
Its weight far exceeded its apparent look, incredibly heavy, with extremely high density.
If not for Feng Mu’s not unsubstantial Strength Attribute, he would probably struggle just to lift it, let alone wield it in battle.
The axe blade was not the traditional arc shape, but bore a more aggressive angular design, with the cutting edges shimmering faintly, leaving no doubt about its hair-splitting sharpness.
The axe body, coupled with the handle, reached about half a human’s height, taking up so much space in the cramped bathroom that it couldn’t be properly swung.
Feng Mu looked at himself in the mirror, hefting the axe with one hand, giving off an aura of terrifying menace, increasingly enjoying his new "Killing Maniac" vibe, making him more and more delighted.
But the more joyous he felt, the more he couldn’t help but bleed inwardly.
A-grade equipment was already this powerful, then how terrifying would S-grade equipment be? Just one step away, really just that tiny bit...
Feng Mu was not content but suddenly stopped as if he remembered something:
"Wait!! Did I forget something? I think... I still have an upgrade ticket that I haven’t used?"
