Chapter 2277: Arrival

Chapter 2277: Arrival

"Ugh, let’s not dwell on hypotheticals, Drake. That’s enough for now, okay?" Yuki asked.

"I guess you’re right, sorry," Drake said, swiftly transforming into his Dragonoid form, golden and blonde with pale skin, and kissing her forehead. "How do you feel? Any stronger? What about the Tear Fragments? Have you sensed any?"

"Only one..." she said. "It must be with him... Once I retrieve it, I’ll regain full control of that dimension born from my corpse’s wailing grief, and then... I’ll try to resolve that problem once and for all, on my own."

"On your own... are you sure?" Drake asked, concern in his voice.

"Yeah, don’t worry about me," Yuki said with a nod. "I think we’ve talked enough for now. We should keep moving, no time to waste."

"I know, let’s move."

Drake quickly led Yuki and Yudra back to Fuyu, while the giant ship resumed moving, now enveloped by Drake’s Dominion. He stood above the bubble-like barrier surrounding Fuyu, gazing into the distance with sharp eyes.

FLUOSH!

Armies of Yokai kept rushing toward them, millions strong... Yet Drake’s Dominion reduced them all to ashes. None, not even the largest and fiercest Yokai, could withstand his presence, obliterated and pulverized instantly.

He gained a substantial amount of EXP from this, his levels rising one by one, though more slowly now, as he required immense EXP per level in the 900 to 1000 range.

Nonetheless, he was making steady progress, and with each passing minute, he and his crew grew stronger.

Their Archetypes were also developing rapidly, and most would soon reach 100%, including Yuki, Surtr, and Emerald, followed closely by Triton, Ruby, and the others.

As before, Andromeda had no percentage for Archetypes, as if she wasn’t even counted, perhaps because she was the system itself.

Yudra’s percentage was quite low, still below 50% since she was newly born, but Drake didn’t mind. He had no intention of putting her in harm’s way. She was there only to support her mother, as her powers complemented Yuki’s remarkably well.

Honestly, if not for that, he would have used Dream Magic to make her fall asleep and placed her inside his Divine Realm until this ordeal was over... whatever the outcome. He knew his Divine Realm would at least remain intact.

If he won, he would return to her...

And if he died, he would never return, but that Divine Realm was a world of its own, and she would be safe living there.

Even... without her family by her side.

Drake had already devised a plan for the worst-case scenario, where he would—

"Damn it, I’m in the greatest moment of my life... I can’t think like that..."

He felt everything he had done, everything he had fought for, and all he had achieved had built toward this moment, truly the greatest of his life.

"Brother, how do you feel?"

Hrimvaldr looked at Drake with concern.

"I’m fine, don’t worry, Hrimvaldr. We’re almost there."

"Okay then, I’ll wait."

Fuyu crossed through giant black clouds of chaotic energies and cursed miasma, Drake’s Dominion easily pulverizing these deadly clouds, reducing them to ashes and allowing the ship to reach the next stage.

And there they were, fighting endlessly, right above the bastard Drake had been chasing his entire life. His senses spread everywhere, clashing against several other powerful presences at once.

RUMBLE!

Their blazing gazes locked onto him. Drake detected four distinct factions, each overwhelmingly powerful, stronger than any foe he had ever faced.

Two beings cloaked in pure bright light stared at him. One was composed entirely of light, while the other resembled an incredibly muscular human with long blonde hair, wielding a massive heavy blade.

"Venerables? Two of them...! So the Human Venerables are here?"

Drake had studied his Venerable History Book and recognized them with a few guesses.

From the Olden Antiquity Era, the Divine Heaven Path Immortal Venerable, likely the being of pure divine light, was dubbed "The Successor" for being the only human to inherit power from the Primordial Gods of Ancient Times, gaining a fragment of their Heavenly Power.

The other, who appeared younger and braver, was likely the second Venerable from the Medieval Antiquity Era, the Heaven-Defying Providence Immortal Venerable, known as "The Fortunate." Little was known about him beyond his ability to bring "providence" to all things, revered as a fortune god whom some prayed to for luck.

That they were allies made sense to Drake, but it would only make things frustratingly harder, which he didn’t particularly appreciate...

But they weren’t the only ones here. To the east, he saw a giant fragment of Zipangu protruding from a portal, a cherry tree forest and a palace visible. In front of it, a sea of spectral yokai surrounded a massive black carriage made of bones, dragged by a pair of gigantic Chinese dragons.

Atop the throne of this carriage sat a tall, intimidating man with sharp black eyes, long black hair tied into a ponytail, and a pointed beard with long black eyebrows. He wore Shogun Armor, a single black katana sheathed at his waist, tied to a belt.

"Oda Nobunaga..."

Near him stood two powerful Generals, one clad in red armor, the other in black. Drake recalled being repelled by the red-armored one before, who was formidable then. He could only wonder if they had grown stronger.

Oda Nobunaga seemed to command the entire Dimension where the Yokai originated, fusing hundreds with a mere thought, manifesting more Superior Yokai of immense size and power.

His presence alone exuded overwhelming prowess... Drake could only stare, recognizing him as the real deal.

But those weren’t the only fighters. The faction Oda was battling, aside from the Human Venerables handled mostly by his generals, was equally formidable.

"Elves? No, Gods? But they look so similar... almost identical... Yes, they’re Elven Gods? And there are hundreds, using Unique Skills too...!"

Drake noticed the elves were protecting something deep within the Singularity Vortex, surrounded by spiraling white clouds and constant divine and chaotic thunderbolts striking the surroundings.

But he could feel it, his presence...

"Oberon..."
