Chapter 2155: Drakda’s Archetype Awakening
Chapter 2155: Drakda’s Archetype Awakening
-----
Once the fifth day began, while Amethyst % was stuck around the mid 90 %s, Drakda had finally reached 100%, so we quickly took him over to the temple of awakening, where he stood in the middle, looking around quite curiously.
"Ooohh, what’s this? Will I awaken?" he wondered cutely and adorably.
"That’s the plan!" I said. "Now, go for it!"
His awakening process ended being... much simpler.
FLUOOOSH!
Darkness and shadows encompassed his surroundings, and then black and red flames spread everywhere, burning and consuming everything.
"Oh wow!"
Drakda was happy and surprised, as I felt the golden veins spread from my body to his own like before, the power of Archetypes shared.
"Thou, my shadow-born child..."
"Thou, my gallant prince clad in night’s crown..."
"Thou, my small yet dauntless wyrmling of flame and fang..."
"Innocent bearer of chaos unbound, wielder of powers infernal and divine..."
"I bestow upon thee mine cursed ward; mine hand shall be ever o’er thee..."
"Arise, now—awaken!"
The darkness and shadows transformed, fusing with the flames, as a large, bulky, humanoid black dragon knight-like specter manifested behind him, with glowing red eyes.
"I am the warden of silence, the blade to souls long forgotten; the shadow that walketh between endings, the whisper that heraldeth the final breath."
"I am he who reapest the wretched and the wicked, whose hands bear no warmth, yet bringeth peace to the restless and stillness to the cursed."
"For mine path is carved in twilight, and my mercy is veiled in dusk—I offer no comfort, only release... I am...!"
"I am the Voidfang Reaper!"
The Archetype manifested his weapon, a giant black scythe, piercing my heart as he approached his black dragon mask-like face, his glowing red eyes staring into my soul.
"I do offer unto thee mine eternal fealty, O sovereign exalted... Take now the might that dwelleth within me and wield it with wisdom and dominion."
Darkness and flames engulfed me, as I opened my eyes again, seeing my son having finally awakened his Archetype.
Well, it was pretty intense and...
Oh, there it is.
Ding!

Reaped Souls can empower the Scythe and the Cloak of the Voidfang Reaper, making him stronger.]
Well, his Archetype was as strong as I imagined! This one is definitely fully focused on dealing as much damage as possible and it seems to be all about piercing defenses too, very interesting.
"Woah...! Papa, what was that?!" Drakda asked. "It was weird and scary... but cool!"
Drakda was both scared and amazed by what happened... I guess that’s how it was going to be with everyone from now on, there’s no way someone could remain calm after that.
"You awakened your Archetype, Drakda, congrats!" I said. "With this, you have attained great power."
"Nice!" he giggled, feeling joyful, as shadows manifested behind him. "Woah?! What’s that?! A ghost?"
"It’s not a ghost, it’s your Archetype!" Benladra said. "You should be able to call forth its power, Drakda, how about you give it a try?"
"Um, really?" Drakda wondered, rubbing his chin. "Okay!"
With this, I had already awakened four different Archetypes from my family, and I had all of them too... However, to Awaken the Evolution of Dragoon Knight, I needed to not just have them but master them.
Snowveil Justicar was my second Archetype, so it was going to be definitely maxed soon... then I should choose two more before I jump to the evolved form. I may choose Drakda’s Archetype, as it seems rather strong. And perhaps... maybe Benladra’s Archetype to balance out.
Well, I could also awaken other Archetypes out there, we’ll see what can emerge later...
But for now, Drakda had to train his Archetype, the battle was coming in just a couple of days, so he had to get ready for it.
"Alright Drakda, let’s spar a little, channel your Archetype!" I said.
"How?" he asked.
"Call its name," I said. "Like this. Come! Dragoon Knight!"
FLAAASH!
My body quickly was encompassed by light, as I became a tall humanoid figure clad on silver, scaled armor, holding a radiant spear and a shield.
"Like this."
"Ooohh! Woah!"
Drakda clapped, and then he nodded, standing up with his little legs, as he roared cutely.
"Come! Voidfang Reaper!"
FLUOSH!
The shadows encompassed him completely this time, fusing with him... the little child was no more replaced by a cloaked figure emerging from the darkness.
His Archetype had a certain aura to it, one that sent chills down my spine.
"I think it worked... Wow, so this is what it feels to be grown up?" Drakda wondered. "I’m tall!"
"Yeah, it’ll take a little while to get used to the form shift," Kate explained. "But you will get used to it, Drakda."
"Woah, is that you sis?! You’re also huge...!" Drakda said.
"For now we should train, let’s use our skills and weapons and try out any new move or special technique we can use!" Benladra said. "Drakda, let’s start!"
"Ok!" Drakda nodded.
Our children started sparring, unleashing the power of their Archetypes. I watched them over for a while, before leaving after I knew they could handle them, and leaving Benladra and Miranda with them, while I continued training Amethyst and Jord, and occasionally moved to check on Alma and her group, and trained them a little too, although they seemed to not need my help that much.
Until finally, the day finally arrived, and we all were ready... Well, not completely, Amethyst had yet to awaken her Archetype, and this made her really mad. It seemed something was missing within her, not related to our bond at all.
Perhaps in her battle against Umbral she’ll find out what she’s missing, but for now, we can’t really wait for her any longer.
