Chapter 2144 - 2144: Amethyst's Growth
—–
“ROOOAAARRRR!”
A multi-headed draconic beast emerged, composed of various colorful soul crystals, each one of its ten heads was of a different elemental crystal, as a storm of winds, ice, water, fire, light, darkness, earth, and more bombarded Amethyst the moment she faced the monster.
She quickly avoided the explosions, spreading her wings and darting into the ceiling, before the beast followed her with several elemental beams, bombarding the ceiling and suddenly spreading cracks through it all.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
“Good.”
Amethyst smiled, as she fell down and then using her twelve Holy Crystal Swords, she sliced through one of the heads of the monster, while rolling on the floor and then leaping again.
RUMBLE!
Before the ceiling suddenly collapsed on the giant monster, massive boulders fell over it, beginning to spread large cracks through its crystalline exterior.
“GRYYAAARRR!”
The monster agonized, quickly throwing away the boulders or shattering them into pieces with its giant claws, while Amethyst opened her mouth, releasing a destructive breath attack from a safe distance.
BOOOMMM!!!
“GRYAAACK?!”
The creature screamed in agony, realizing the entire ceiling crumbling was a distraction for Amethyst to get a good opportunity to attack its back!
Her attack was devastating, as a giant hole was blown through the monster’s body… though it was still alive, moving towards her angrily.
Amethyst remained calm and composed, her eyes focused.
Indeed, she had changed quite a lot.
“HAAAH!”
As the elemental magic rushed towards her from the monster’s attacks, Amethyst roared, her crystalline scales glowing and firing beams of reflecting light towards the creature, as both of their magic attacks met. Your support at MV^LEMP^YR keeps the series going.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
At the same time, she controlled the swords of crystals she had created, sending them the other way and beginning to stab and slice through the monster from behind, while it conentrated on her.
A storm of slashing lights pierced and cleaved through the creature, its heads fell one by one, and so several of its giant limbs, the monster was beginning to be overwhelmed.
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
However…
Crack, crack…!
CRASH!
As its body shattered, something from within emerged, a smaller draconic creature, around the same size as her, but with a longer neck, a slender body, and made completely out of black, purple, and red crystals.
“Is that its real body?! So it was hiding this whole time!” Jord said.
“Indeed, I could detect something controlling the entire thing from inside… Amethyst too,” I smiled. “Leave it to her, Jord, don’t interfere.”
“I shall not…” Jord nodded.
“GYYYAAAAHHHHH!”
The draconic crystal soul beast roared, its spiritual, soul, and draconic aura spreading everywhere, as black, purple, and red flames erupted from the ground beneath it, like small geysers, rupturing the cave and making the depths of the mountain’s roots tremble without end.
“You’re one loud bastard!”
Amethyst, however, wasn’t charging recklessly, but wasn’t panicking either, as she channeled her powers into her body once more, and her crystal scales grew to giant colorful crystals of red, green, yellow, and brown colors, stretching from her own body and moving everywhere.
RUMBLE!
“GRYAAGH?!”
The draconic crystal soul beast roared, as several crystal spears rushed towards it, hitting its crystalline body constantly! However, it didn’t give up so easily, its blazing claws tearing through Amethyst’s crystals and reaching her in an instant.
…Only for her to step back and smile with immense confidence, as the ground shook beneath her, and dozens of extremely thick divine crystals surged from the underground, all of them part of her own legs and tail crystal scales, which she had expanded into this deadly attacks she loved using against me.
CRASH! CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!
The giant crystal pillars impaled the monster before it could even touch her, its entire body bleeding black and red blood, as it was quickly torn to shreds, Amethyst’s control over her own body’s crystals were always outstanding, but how she speared that thing and killed her was simply on another level of brutality.
“It’s done,” she said, sighing in relief. “So how was it? Was it good enough?”
“Hahaha!” I laughed. “You’re really asking me that after that amazing battle? Your growth is outstanding, Amethyst!”
“Then… can I really fight Umbral now?!” Amethyst asked excitedly.
“No, not yet,” I said. “However, you’re getting there, halfway through.”
“Halfway through?! We spent almost two weeks here!” Amethyst complained.
“Amethyst, you were never going to get so strong in just a week and a half, you know?” Jord sighed. “This takes patience, and honestly, it’s just incredible you’ve grown this much in such a little amount of time!”
“Indeed,” I nodded. “Well done, Amethyst. It’s time to get out of here. I am sure you want to.”
“I do! I’m tired of this damn place…” Amethyst groaned. “But what about this guy?”
“We’ll take the materials and meat with us, of course,” I said, as I stored everything away everything inside my Spatial Inventory and then prepared to depart.
My Spatial Inventory had been used since I obtained it, but it was never actually a function of the System, but a Skill I learned from eating some sort of inventory item I don’t quite remember well.
At this point, it has become an extension of my own being and also of the System itself, so it has expanded to an insane level, and everyone that obtains the System can also access their own.
Amethyst right now has not acceded the System completely.
Indeed, I have not allowed her to Level Up, actually. I wanted her to polish her own strength to such lengths on her own, without abusing my System to “fix” her problem easily.
Now that she had grown this much mostly on her own, with the System simply accumulating all the EXP she had gained while helping her to only learn new Skills to polish her abilities and master them faster…
I suppose it’s time for her reward.
“You’ve done well, Amethyst,” I said, patting her shoulders. “Outside, we’ve already arrived at our destination with my family, so you should come along.”
“What destination?” she asked.
“Did you forget? A friend of mine, an elf that I had once met before…” I said.
