Enjoying Life With Do As You Please System
Chapter 152: Residency
Some men might feel intimidated by a possessive, slightly unhinged woman, but I certainly wasn’t one of them. I loved yanderes.
I hadn’t fully realized it until this very moment, but Val was slowly shifting into one right before my eyes. The dark, possessive fire swirling in her violet eyes and the raw, absolute obsession radiating from her posture told a clear story. And I enjoyed every second of it.
A broad, unashamed grin broke across my face as I stepped closer, wrapping my arm around her waist. "My thoughts aren’t any different, Val. If anyone dares to target us or touch my family, I’ll make sure they drag themselves through hell before they’re allowed to die."
Hearing my words, a brilliant, radiant light flared in Val’s eyes. She leaned in, wrapping her arms around my neck, and captured my lips in a sweet, fierce kiss that carried all her unshakable devotion.
Before I could even catch my breath, Yerin pushed her way forward, throwing her arms around my torso. "My turn! My turn!" Yerin squealed, pulling my face down into a passionate, breathless kiss that smelled faintly of sweet berry lip gloss.
Yoona let out a long, quiet sigh, holding her hands against her hips as she looked up at the darkening sky. "Alright, you two... we really need to keep moving. The sun has already set."
Yerin reluctantly broke our kiss, panting slightly as she rested her head against my chest. But before I could step forward, Yoona stepped directly into my path.
Without giving me a second to react, the crimson-haired beauty reached up, cupped the back of my neck, and pulled my lips down into a deep, slow, and thoroughly captivating kiss. Her smooth Succubus charm flared softly, wrapping around my senses like warm silk.
When she finally pulled back, a graceful, victorious smirk rested on her lips. "I am certainly not going to let my sisters have all the fun while I stand around watching."
I licked my lips, looking between the three of them with a low, amused chuckle. "Honestly? I really like this kind of competition. Feel free to use me as the battleground whenever you want."
All three of them let out amused laughs, the playful tension lingering in the air as we fell into step behind Yoona.
We walked down the broad marble pathway under the night sky. As twilight faded, hundreds of enchanted streetlamps lining the walkways sparked to life, casting a warm, golden illumination over the surrounding gardens and stone bridges.
"By the way, Seth..." Yoona spoke up smoothly, her voice echoing in the quiet evening air, "...officially speaking, Valerie is the only one permitted to live in your assigned residence."
"WHAT?!" Yerin immediately cried out, flailing her arms in protest. "Unnie, that is totally unfair! Why do I have to live in a completely separate house away from Seth?"
BONK.
Yoona casually tapped the top of Yerin’s head with her folded hand, keeping her eyes fixed on the path ahead. "Let me finish before you start whining, little sister."
Yerin grumbled softly, rubbing her head, but stayed quiet.
"Avalon Academy is not a traditional high school," Yoona explained clearly. "It does not utilize shared dormitories or force students into cramped communal living to teach them basic social skills. The institution simply does not care about such things. Its sole purpose is to provide instruction in whatever field a student chooses to master."
She glanced back over her shoulder at me. "Furthermore, every student attending this academy requires substantial private space to cultivate, experiment, and train with their Astral Soul without interfering with others. Considering that nearly the entire student body consists of wealthy nobles, high-ranking heirs, or influential figures who are accustomed to luxury, the academy provides individual detached housing."
Yoona gestured toward Val. "Because Valerie is officially registered as your personal retainer and head of security, she is required to reside in the same house to fulfill her duties. However... that is merely the official paperwork. The academy administration does not monitor who sleeps in whose residence at night. If Yerin or I want to stay at your house, nobody will stop us."
Yerin’s pouting expression vanished in an instant, replaced by a relieved, bright grin. "Phew! That’s a massive relief! I really didn’t want to sleep in a big, empty house all by myself at night."
Yoona smiled faintly, continuing her walk. "In fact, Seth... this campus is actually the ideal environment for you to expand your Sovereign Deck."
I raised an eyebrow, looking at her with interest. "Oh yeah?"
"While Avalon was founded and is currently managed by humanity, it serves as an international hub for the entire supernatural world," Yoona explained. "Students from the Greek, Norse, Egyptian, and various other pantheons and mythical races come here for higher education and diplomatic exchange. It allows the younger generation of different realms to interact directly. Which means... you won’t have to travel across the world to find candidates for your Sovereign Deck."
I let out a soft laugh, a playful smirk touching my lips. "You completely read my mind, Yoona. I was actually thinking it would be great to recruit wives from different races and pantheons."
Yoona shrugged casually, her dark eyes sparkling with dry amusement. "It wasn’t particularly difficult to guess your intentions, Seth."
Standing beside me, Val offered a quiet, stoic nod of agreement. "Your desires are remarkably transparent, Seth."
I chuckled, rubbing the back of my neck. "Well, that just means it’s a good thing for all of us. We’ll be adding more sisters to our household soon enough."
Yerin grinned excitedly, clapping her hands together. "Awesome! I can’t wait to meet new sisters."
"It isn’t just the student body that features different races, either," Yoona added smoothly as we crossed a low stone arch bridge. "The faculty includes high-tier entities from various domains as well. Take Chancellor Viviana, for example. She is not a human sorceress."
"She isn’t?" I asked, tilting my head.
"No," Yoona answered. "She is a high-tier Water Spirit. In her true, uncloaked spirit form, her skin is a brilliant blue and she possesses four arms."
A specific name instantly surfaced in my mind. I looked at Yoona, my eyes widening slightly. "Wait... a four-armed Water Spirit tied to King Arthur’s legacy.. Is Chancellor Viviana actually the legendary Lady of the Lake?"
Yoona nodded with a graceful smile. "Indeed she is."
We continued down the winding marble path, descending a gentle slope toward the Eastern Wing’s primary residential sector. It didn’t take us long to reach the neighborhood.
When we stepped into the residential district, I paused, taking a look around.
The entire housing sector was laid out like a massive, pristine suburban colony. Curved, paved roads wove neatly through rows of charming, two-story detached houses. Each residence featured smooth stone walls, dark pointed roofs, private front yards, and warm, glowing lanterns mounted beside the front doors.
Looking at the uniform, slightly quirky layout of the colorful houses lined up in neat rows, a random childhood memory popped into my head.
’Man...’ I thought with a dry chuckle, ’..this place looks almost exactly like that suburban neighborhood from Oggy and the Cockroaches.’
We walked down the main avenue until Yoona stopped outside a sleek, two-story house constructed from white stone and dark oak timber. A polished brass plate mounted beside the wooden door read: RESIDENCE 104 - SETH FERNANDO.
Looking at the front door, a sudden, playful thought crossed my mind.
I turned around, looking directly at Val, who was standing right behind me in her usual immaculate posture.
"Hey, Val?" I asked, a wicked, teasing grin spreading across my face.
Val snapped to attention, her eyes locking onto mine. "Yes, Seth?"
"Yoona mentioned earlier that you officially entered the academy under the classification of my ’retainer, right?"
Val gave a crisp, professional nod. "That is correct. Officially, I am registered as your personal attendant and bodyguard, here for your complete service and protection."
My grin widened as I stepped in close, looking her straight in the eyes. "Complete service, huh? In that case... whenever we’re inside the house, I order you to wear a full maid uniform."
Freeze.
Val went dead rigid. Her stoic, professional guard mask completely shattered into dust. Her entire face erupted into a fiery, crimson blush that spread all the way down to her neck. Her mouth slightly parted, her violet eyes blinking in utter, flustered shock as she stared at me.
"M-M-Maid uniform...?!" Val stammered breathlessly, her usual composed voice completely failing her.
Standing beside us, Yerin burst into a fit of uncontrolled, breathless giggles, clapping her hands in sheer delight. "YES!! A maid uniform! Val is going to look so ridiculously cute!"
Yoona let out a low, melodious chuckle, shaking her head with an amused spark in her dark eyes. "A maid uniform for your head of security... you truly possess remarkable taste, Seth."
Val swallowed hard, her cheeks burning like a furnace as she looked down at the ground, her fingers trembling slightly against her suit jacket. But despite her overwhelming embarrassment, she slowly raised her head, looking into my eyes with an intensely flustered, deeply sweet expression.
"...If... if that is what my husband desires..." Val whispered nervously, her voice barely above a breath, "...then I shall wear it for you."
