Rachel moved through the battle raging around her. She slashed and thrust the sword in her hand, and as she watched one survivor after the other fall, she knew she couldn't hold back.

Ever since her recent awakening, that mysterious being had been strangely quiet. They had only explained how her new Curse worked and hadn't spoken to her since then. But Rachel knew from the now-close connection she had with them that they still remained with her.

She had tried to hide her new powers, not knowing how she would explain them to the others, even as she secretly learned her new abilities.

But she now knew she couldn't continue to do so. If not, just like those around her were starting to fall, she would also die.

She heard Kael shout words at the former president of the student council, Elena, and soon after, the usually stoic Alice transformed in a grandiose display of power.

Despite how shocked she also felt, she knew this was also her chance to act, when the attention of the others was drawn to Alice.

She quickly threw the sword aside and instead summoned her soul weapon.

The scepter appeared fittingly in her hand, like it was always meant to be there. And the gem hovering a few inches above it continued to rotate.

Ever since the apocalypse descended, Rachel had never tried to use a skill. When she found out she had been dealt the weakest class possible, she had been so dejected and broken that she never deemed herself fit to try her skills. Or perhaps, she hated the cards she was dealt so much that she felt revolted by the idea of using her skills.

Not that using them would have changed a thing.

But now?

She was curious about what she was capable of.

The Common classes were generally of the Warrior and Mage types. Yet, while these classes were as basic as could be, each person was still granted different skills to wield.

The first skill Rachel used was [Power Surge], which she gained when she reached level 10. A simple skill that increases her magical attack damage by 10%.

Her body flickered with a low red light, and if one didn't pay careful attention, they might not even notice it.

It was simply pathetic!

What was the use of boosting a skill that could barely deal any damage? Infinity multiplied by zero will still give zero!

Still, Rachel didn't stop this time. When she had broken into the First Order, she had been granted two skills.

Magic Missile.

And Decoy.

Two skills that couldn't be more ordinary compared to the flashy abilities of the geniuses around her.

But this time, Rachel pulled through her disgruntlement and activated the first skill.

Magic Missile.

A look of fascination crossed Rachel's hidden features as she felt mana pool out of her core, located in her lower abdomen.

And then the mana moved through channels she never knew existed in her body before, gathering at the hand holding her scepter. The mana flowed into her soul weapon, causing the hovering, rotating gem to glow with a resplendent blue light.

Then Rachel watched with twinkling eyes as five rotating blue balls formed before her. The balls were barely the size of a tennis ball, and yet, she felt this childish excitement swirling within her at the sight.

Even before her title skills had the chance to show their effect, Rachel willed for the five balls to combine together.

Just as they touched, she instinctively knew they were about to explode, and before she realized what she was even doing, she quickly held the five missiles in place with her Will.

More mana pooled out of her, and for the first time since the apocalypse descended, Rachel's mana wasn't controlled by a System skill.

Her Will took control of her mana as it pooled into her veins. She moved the mana rushing through her channels like waves of water and released it through her soul weapon.

Wisps of blue gathered on the top of the hovering gem, before they thickened and formed into threads that moved towards the five missiles held in place.

Some of the threads held the spell in position, another portion broke into their structure gently, aiding in breaking them down, even as the outer ones worked to fuse everything together.

Rachel didn't know she showed a bright and genuine smile at this moment, an experience she had thought she lost since the system arrived.

In just a second, the now-broken massive swirl of mana congregated and fused together to create a single missile ball now the size of a basketball.

A feeling of exhilaration rushed through her veins at this sight. She had simply felt she could form a better spell and acted upon her instincts. Before she knew it, a new spell formed before her.

Behind her, Kael had just moved his threads and shot them at Alice, the duo about to enter a great clash.

Yet here, around Rachel, the world seemed to fall silent before System messages upon System messages began to flow before her vision.

Rachel never knew that her actions since the apocalypse descended were supposed to determine the titles she would receive upon breaking into the First Order.

And yet, despite having never used a skill before, the System had still granted her the title, Mana Prodigy, a title she would have received regardless of the unknown exchange between her and Kael.

And now, this sight proved why that was the case.

If Kael were to notice this sight, he would have been shocked senseless. Wasn't this what he had been training this past month to achieve without avail?

Even now, he could only control his Energi by activating his skills, sending his intentions to boost a stat and allowing the System to do so for him, or the runic inscriptions around his items tugging at his energy directly.

Yet, the first time Rachel tried, she succeeded effortlessly.

She was what those in the outer universe would call a genius of the Supreme Magus.

Rachel read the new panels before her.
