Chapter 456: All The Enders and Divine God Of Boundless Light

Sylvia followed the Hollow King through the palace as her summons cleared the way ahead. The guards who saw their former leaders walking beside her dropped their weapons and fled through the side halls.

"They’ve entered the palace! Get away from the lower stairs!"

The warning reached them just as a thick door slammed shut at the end of the hall. The Hollow King pulled it out of its frame and sent it sliding across the floor.

BANG!

A stairway stretched deep beneath the palace and golden seals covered its walls. As they descended Sylvia felt several powers pressing against those seals from the other side.

The stairs ended at a chamber where four people were held above separate stone platforms. Chains ran through glowing circles around their bodies and tightened whenever they tried to move.

A muscular man with blond hair stared at the broken doorway. "Hollow King, what are you doing here?"

Sylvia entered behind him and the man’s attention shifted toward her. The others also stopped struggling as they sensed the power of Death coming from her body.

"It’s you."

She recognized Bane as he pulled against the chains holding his arms. His gaze moved past her toward the stairs.

"Where is the Heavenly Lord?"

"The Hollow King beat him up, though it was only his clone."

The Hollow King caught one of the chains and followed it back to the seal on the wall. Golden letters spread over his hand as he pressed his fingers into it.

[Mystic Code Activated: Space.]

The stone around the seal split open and its light bent inward. Then he pulled his hand back and tore the whole thing out of the wall.

CRACK!

The circles broke apart and all four prisoners dropped onto their platforms. The blond man landed on his feet while the man beside him rubbed the marks left around his wrists.

Sylvia looked from them to the young woman who had been held on the last platform. The Hollow King noticed her gaze as the broken chains fell around them.

"You already know Bane, the Ender of Fate. The man beside him is Will and the blond one is Chaos.

"And the girl, she is the Ender of Order."

The woman stepped over the fallen chains and joined the others. Sylvia had finally met the remaining Enders, though none of them looked pleased with the place chosen for their meeting.

"The Heavenly Lord is gone for now, so we need to move quickly and grow stronger. He’ll come for us again when he learns what happened here."

"Then we won’t waste the chance you’ve given us." Will picked up a broken chain and let it fall from his hand.

Chaos and Order agreed as Bane stepped toward the passage beyond their chamber.

"There are more people down here, including the Divine God of Boundless Light and his followers. He was one of the first to be brought into this prison."

"Even the Divine God of Boundless Light was captured?"

"Yes, and the Apostles are here too."

Sylvia immediately thought of Faust and hurried after him. They had been searching for her since she vanished after entering the Path to Worlds to think she was here.

"Then let’s get them out right away."

Bane led them into another hall while the Hollow King broke the seals across its entrance. Behind the doors on either side Sylvia could hear people calling to one another as the sound of breaking stone reached them.

"Someone’s opening the cells!"

Hands appeared between bars farther down the passage. Sylvia sent her summons to help the prisoners who could barely stand while the Hollow King pulled the seals away from their doors.

At the end of the hall Bane stopped outside a chamber filled with white light.

"Phanes is in here."

Through its bars Sylvia saw a being whose body was made entirely of light. Phanes wore celestial armor with gold flowing along its white plates and had a face that was neither male nor female.

Golden restraints surrounded the Divine God of Boundless Light and dimmed the glow spilling through the armor. Two men were held nearby and Sylvia recognized them as soon as they looked toward the door.

Allstar stared at her in shock and then at the dark guards following behind.

"It’s you! Did the Heavenly Lord capture you too?"

"Those guards belong to me now, so you can stop looking at them like that." Sylvia said helplessly.

The Hollow King walked past her and pressed his palm against the door. Its seals shattered and the bars folded outward as he pulled them aside.

Beside Allstar, his fat disciple watched the falling pieces with a serious expression.

"Master, I believe she’s here to rescue us."

"Thank you, Tree, I was starting to suspect that myself." Allstar stared at his disciple, his tree with twitching lips.

Sylvia smiled as she entered the cell and approached the two men. The Celestial Worthy of Heaven and his disciple had helped them so much in the Abyss that seeing them bound here made her want to tear the remaining restraints apart.

The Hollow King reached the seal holding all three and broke it with another pull. Allstar rubbed his wrists while Tree immediately went to help the prisoners gathering outside.

Sylvia quickly told them how she and Caelus had left the Abyss and become gods. Then she explained that the Hollow King had destroyed the Heavenly Lord’s clone and was helping her free the prisoners.

As she finished speaking Phanes studied her and the ten shadows obeying her commands.

"To think things would reach this state. My lord’s power is truly unexpected."

Hearing him speak, the Hollow king immediately spoke. "There’s no time to dwell on it, Phanes. We need to prepare because we can no longer afford to stay out of this."

Phanes nodded and followed him into the hall.

Hollow king then spoke again. "Tell me how things stand outside."

"The Heavenly Lord suppressed the major factions and brought their strongest members here. Their leaders and followers are scattered throughout this prison, along with the Apostles."

Sylvia walked beside them as another group of prisoners emerged from an opened cell. She had heard that title enough times without anyone explaining what it meant.

"What exactly is an Apostle?"

"They were born with authority from the Axiom Origin rather than receiving it the way Hollow King and Heavenly Lord did." The Hollow King broke another seal as he answered.

"Among the Apostles there are only two who possess the Supreme One’s authority."

Sylvia finally understood why Faust’s powers had always seemed so unfair. She had suspected something related to the mind, but there was a great difference between an ordinary ability and an authority from the Axiom Origin.

A familiar laugh reached her from a cell farther down the hall. Sylvia hurried toward it as a woman behind the bars lifted her head and smiled at her.

"Well, look who finally came to find me."
