Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife
Chapter 1556 - 1597: Never Separated Again
As usual, she told the little one fairy tales, and the little one listened attentively. However, unlike before, Mabel’s storytelling didn’t prompt the usual torrent of ’why’ questions from the little one, who instead quietly listened to the stories.
Mabel understood in her heart that her daughter, having gone through this catastrophe, was different from before. Regardless of whether her daughter’s illness would improve in the future, even if her daughter remained a fool for life, Mabel was determined to give her daughter the best of everything, sparing no effort.
After telling two stories, her daughter fell asleep, and Kyle came over to tuck in the corners of the blanket.
"I think I will tell Dad about Ivy in a couple of days," Mabel said to Kyle. Because of what happened to Ivy, her father had been feeling excessively guilty, and it seemed as if his body had suddenly collapsed, causing him to be hospitalized for treatment all this time.
Now that Ivy has been found, it was originally supposed to be reported to her father immediately. However, seeing her daughter’s current state, Mabel feared that telling her father would only increase his guilt and aggravate his condition. Thus, she planned to wait a couple of days until the hospital finished examining her daughter and her illness was confirmed before informing her father.
She only hoped that the daughter’s physical examination results would be good.
"Alright, we’ll do as you say," Kyle said. Then, he bent down and gently embraced Mabel and the already asleep little one. "From now on, our family will never be separated again."
He would do everything in his power to protect his family, his wife, and his child.

Early the next morning, Mabel washed and groomed her daughter. The servant had sent over the little one’s clothes again. Mabel saw that they were all new clothes, all branded children’s wear of considerable value.
It seemed to be a kind gesture from Mr. May. Mabel dressed her daughter, finding the clothes quite a good fit.
With meticulous care, she dressed her daughter, feeling that this daughter was once again the one from her memory, only different in that the little one’s forehead now had a thick fringe covering an ugly scar.
After having breakfast at the May residence early in the morning, Mabel and Kyle decided to take their daughter to the hospital for an examination. Atlas Shaw had also come to the May residence early, and upon hearing that they would be taking the little one to the hospital, he naturally followed along.
When the group arrived at the hospital, the little one underwent a series of detailed examinations. During this time, the little one remained quiet and didn’t cause much fuss, clinging affectionately to Atlas Shaw, wanting to be held by him.
Seeing this, Mabel couldn’t help but smile, as it reminded her of the times back in G City when her daughter always wanted Atlas Shaw to hold her.
The doctor examining Harper Kinston was, of course, the authoritative F City neuroscientist and, knowing the little one’s identity, naturally didn’t dare to be negligent.
When the examination reports came out, the doctor looked at them and informed them that since the child was still young, there was a certain risk in performing surgery. The success rate of the surgery could be 70%, but if it failed, the child’s intellect would be impaired.
The best approach is to first undergo conservative treatment to see if the brain can absorb the blood clot on its own or if they can first control the condition, and then wait until the child grows older and the brain is more developed, which would provide more assurance for the surgery.
