Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife
Chapter 1537 - 1578: Those Eyes
Even though Jeremiah May is only 12 years old at this moment, it would not be difficult for him, through connections, to obtain the address of the tavern where Atlas Shaw is staying and find the crew members involved.
"I’ve heard you inquired about the tavern where Atlas Shaw is staying. Are you planning to find him?" Mr. May brought up casually during dinner.
"Yes." Jeremiah May responded indifferently.
"What, are you thinking of getting another poster after one was torn?" Mr. May teased. This remark was made offhandedly, but it unexpectedly made his nephew’s cheeks slightly redden.
It seems... was he right? His nephew specifically sought the address of the tavern where Atlas Shaw resides to ask for another poster?
Jeremiah May did not speak, continuing to eat quietly, as if he hadn’t heard Mr. May’s teasing remark.
After dinner, Jeremiah May took another trip to the servant’s quarters. The little one had finished dinner and was happily humming. As for what she was humming, no one could understand it, but at least they could tell she was happy.
Seeing Atlas, isn’t that worth being happy about? Besides, the young master said he would let her get very close to Atlas, unlike when her mom took her and they had to watch from afar with so many people around that she couldn’t get close.
As soon as Jeremiah May came over, she excitedly rushed up to him, "Atlas, meet Atlas!"
Amelia Foster quickly said, "Young master... you’re really going to take Nanny to meet that big star? If by chance Nanny says something wrong then..."
"Even if she says something wrong, it’s fine, nothing will happen." Jeremiah May replied, meaning that even if the little one genuinely slips up or does something wrong, he will bear any consequences.
Ultimately, today he just wanted to make the little one happy, partly to alleviate the guilt he feels inside.
But as they sat in the car, with the little one more lively than usual, calling out Atlas, Atlas, Jeremiah May felt that sour feeling in his heart becoming more apparent.
He lifted his hand and brushed her bangs aside, looking at the hideous scar on her forehead, wondering if she liked Atlas Shaw as a big star before the injury?
So even after getting hurt and becoming mentally impaired, she still likes him?
For a five-year-old girl, liking someone is probably just fan admiration, but why does he still feel... uncomfortable?
Jeremiah May recalled asking some Atlas Shaw fan girls in his class what was so great about Atlas Shaw that drove them to be so starstruck?
The result was that those fan girls stared at him in surprise, as if he had asked a monumental question. Even David Walker rushed over to touch his forehead and said, "Jeremiah, you don’t have a fever, do you."
Leaving him completely dumbfounded.
Jeremiah May’s fingers unconsciously caressed the little one’s scar, while she blinked her beautiful phoenix-like eyes, looking at him in confusion.
Such a pair of eyes seemed to reflect shimmering light, so captivating that if one focused on them, their heart and mind might gradually get drawn in.
Perhaps in several years, when she grows up, how will these eyes appear?
