Chapter 1472 - 1513: Doesn’t Like Her Smile

The only thing he could do was to do his best to help find Ivy.

Daniel Harris looked at the little one in the photo and became lost in thought, so much so that he didn’t even notice his son approaching.

"Why are you looking at her like that?" Suddenly, a young voice sounded beside Daniel Harris.

It was then he noticed his son had somehow walked over to him, those dark eyes staring straight at the photo in his hand.

Daniel Harris was slightly taken aback, then said, "Because she’s missing, so Daddy wants to find her."

"Why do you want to find someone who’s missing?" asked his 4-year-old son oddly.

"Because if she’s not found, her mommy will be very sad," Daniel Harris replied.

"I don’t have a mommy, so if you can’t find me, my mommy won’t be sad, right?" Clear yet innocent eyes looked straight at Daniel Harris. Normally, Levi wasn’t fond of speaking, so saying this much was quite rare.

But for a moment, Daniel Harris didn’t know how to respond to his son’s words.

Ultimately, he could only say, "If you went missing, Daddy would be sad. Levi, you’re my only child in this lifetime, and you will inherit the Harris Family."

The small head lowered, seeming not to want to hear these words from his father.

Daniel Harris sighed and patted his son’s head. He knew his son still rejected others, including him. His son would only listen to what he wanted to hear, and as for what he didn’t want to hear, he would directly express with rejection.

"If you’re always like this, what will you do in the future? This world isn’t just about you," Daniel Harris murmured. But he knew this remark probably wouldn’t get through to his son either.

He thought the conversation with his son would end here, but unexpectedly, the little one’s voice spoke up again, "I don’t like her."

"What?" Daniel Harris was taken aback.

"Don’t like her smile," the young voice said directly again.

It was only then Daniel Harris reacted, realizing "her" referred to Harper Kinston in the photo.

"Why don’t you like her smile?" Daniel Harris asked curiously.

Yet Levi went silent again, not answering his father’s question, but his eyes glanced at the photo’s beautiful smile. Her smile was too bright, so bright it made him feel uncomfortable, not knowing what to do.

At this moment, he simply didn’t understand that there’s a word in this world called flustered, and another word called — tremor.

...

In Falling City, over at the Howards Family, Dorian Howards and Alice Conley also expended considerable effort to find Harper Kinston but to no avail.

Alice Conley was anxious beyond measure, as a mother, she naturally knew all too well what a mother would feel like if her child was lost. Moreover, Ivy was what Mabel fought life and death to bring into this world.

"Mommy, still can’t find Ivy?" Jasper Howards asked his mother.

"Yes, haven’t found her yet." Alice Conley was somewhat surprised that her son, who usually didn’t enjoy playing with Harper, after learning Harper had disappeared, asked every day whether Harper had been found, evidently showing quite concern for the matter.

"Then when will we know?" Jasper Howards was clearly dissatisfied with the progress of the search, "Adults, why are you all so unreliable!"
