Chapter 1442 - 1483: Never Let You Down

  • Next Chapter

Mabel Quinn was at a loss for words, so she could only first go along with her daughter’s wishes. That evening, she said to Kyle Kinston, "Ivy doesn’t seem very willing to change her surname. How about we mention it again when she’s older?"

Kyle Kinston, however, chuckled and said, "It doesn’t matter. Whether she takes Kinston or Quinn, she’ll always be our child, as long as she’s happy! If she feels Quinn is better, then let her have Quinn. To me, there’s no difference."

But who knew, the next day, their daughter came to her again and seriously told her that she had decided to adopt the Kinston surname after all.

"Oh? Why do you want to have the same surname as Daddy again?" Mabel Quinn asked curiously.

"Because I found out that ’Kinston’ has fewer strokes than ’Quinn,’ so writing my name will be a bit quicker." The little one revealed her answer, leaving Mabel Quinn amused and helpless.

Who would have thought that the reason their daughter wanted to change her surname was because of the number of strokes?

"Alright, Mommy, from now on, my name is Harper Kinston. Mommy, don’t get my name wrong," the little one said very solemnly.

At this moment, watching the little hands of her daughter hold a pair of wedding rings, walking steadily toward them, Mabel’s lips curled into a smile.

The best man beside her took the wedding ring box handed over by the little one and opened it.

"Will the bride and groom please exchange rings," the officiant said.

Her wedding ring was that Ruby ring, originally crafted by his father for his mother, but it never had the opportunity to be given. And now... she watched him pick up that Ruby ring and slide it carefully onto her ring finger. So dazzling, the fiery color resembling blood.

The Kinston Family loves with their very lives!

Mabel Quinn also picked up Kyle Kinston’s wedding ring. This was later designed to match the Ruby wedding ring—a platinum band adorned with 8 small diamonds, with a Ruby in the center flanked by four diamonds each side. Not too big; if it were too large, it wouldn’t look like a man’s wedding ring. But its quality was excellent, that pigeon blood red, perfectly complementing the Ruby on Mabel Quinn’s wedding ring.

She carefully slipped the wedding ring onto his finger. Before she could withdraw her hand, he suddenly reversed his grasp, held her hand tightly, then raised her hand to place a deep kiss on the Ruby of her wedding ring, "I swear, for a lifetime, I will never let you down."

As he spoke, his gaze was fixed intently on her, with an unwavering determination, a kind of belief.

It seemed as though she had become his faith.

This man... she could feel so clearly how deeply he loved her.

"I believe you." She smiled gently.

Kyle Kinston lifted his hand and unveiled the wedding veil on her head, her face clearly imprinted in his sight.

"I’m sorry, I’m six years late," he murmured. This wedding should have been given to her six years ago. If it weren’t for his stubbornness, his cruelty, his indifference, then between them, there wouldn’t have been these missed six years.

"It’s not late, still not late," Mabel Quinn said. "Between us, there will be many, many more six years, and each one of the coming six years will be beautiful."

His eyes were also filled with a sense of longing, "Yes, it will be very beautiful."
