Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife
Chapter 1424 - 1465: Lulling the Baby to Sleep
After a pause, she said, "Actually, he could just slowly find someone to spend his life with, have children; there’s no need to look for a surrogate mother." On this point, Mabel Quinn didn’t quite understand and always felt that doing so wasn’t good for the child’s growth and was also unfair.
It seemed like the child was just a tool, created deliberately for some purpose.
But this was Daniel Harris’s decision, and she couldn’t really say much.
Surrogate mother, huh? Kyle Kinston’s gaze flickered; no wonder... Previously, when others said Daniel Harris had an illegitimate child, he even thought this news was mostly false. After all, he’s clear about the feelings Daniel has for Mabel.
If these feelings existed, then after Mabel’s accident back then, quickly finding another woman would indeed be somewhat strange. And a surrogate mother is the best explanation.
Perhaps at that time, Daniel Harris had already decided not to marry ever again, which is why he wanted to leave the Harris Family an heir in this way.
"Alright, stop thinking about his matters; this is the menu dad and I planned. Take a look to see if there are any issues. Also, the design for the invitations, and the sample images of the wedding dress from the designers." Kyle Kinston said as he stacked a pile of booklets in front of Mabel Quinn.
Suddenly, Mabel Quinn felt an urge to cough up blood; getting married is really a troublesome matter!
So, while Kyle Kinston was doing kindergarten homework with their daughter, Mabel Quinn started flipping through those booklets: banquet menus, invitation designs, and things like bride price, dowry... Anything in accordance with her father and Kyle’s ideas, she had no objections. As for the wedding dress sample images, she indeed needed to take a look, selecting the styles she liked from those she tried on that day, then adjusting the details and re-selecting the fabrics.
After reviewing the design drafts, Mabel Quinn expressed quite satisfaction and contacted the designer herself, arranging a time to bring the sample dress once it was ready.
After Mabel Quinn had broadly reviewed all the matters in those booklets Kyle Kinston gave her and dealt with what needed her decision, she stretched lazily. When she raised her head, it was already past eight, and it was the time for her daughter to go to bed.
She then stood up, opened the door, and walked back to the room next door, only to see their daughter already lying in bed, eyes closed, seemingly asleep, while Kyle Kinston sat by the bed, holding a storybook and reading fairy tales.
The light in the room cast a warmth on this father-daughter pair, creating an indescribable coziness.
Previously, she wouldn’t have imagined a day when Kyle Kinston would be telling fairy tales to their daughter.
And she didn’t go to disturb them, quietly listening instead.
When Kyle Kinston finished a story, the little girl was still sleeping soundly, indicating that she was indeed asleep.
"How many stories did you read?" Mabel Quinn quietly asked as she approached.
"Three," Kyle Kinston replied, with a hint of helplessness in his tone. Telling stories to his daughter wasn’t just about reading them completely; he also needed to modulate his voice and speak differently for different characters.
