Chapter 1413 - 1453: The Ring and the Decision

Mabel Quinn’s gaze suddenly widened. Inside the box, the ruby ring lay quietly—that was her wedding ring. When she left, she also left this ring at Kyle’s house.

She once thought that this ring would never be seen again in this life, yet unexpectedly, it appeared once more in front of her.

"This ring..." Mabel murmured.

"I hope one day, you’ll be willing to wear it again. By then, I will hold a grand wedding to make up for the one we didn’t have six years ago," he said. He owed her a wedding, and he wanted to give her a perfect one, not letting her have any regrets at all.

A wedding, huh? Mabel fixed her gaze on the ruby ring. Six years ago, the wedding they had planned never took place. But now... "Actually, it doesn’t matter whether there’s a wedding or not. In everyone’s eyes, we’ve already been married for six years."

"It matters, at least to me. This wedding is what I owe you!" Kyle said as he placed the ring into Mabel’s hand. "Whenever you truly decide, just put it on so I will know."

He wasn’t going to set a deadline nor urge her, only waiting for that moment when she was willing.

The ruby ring in her hand felt heavy. Over six years, it seemed as if time hadn’t passed on this ring at all, looking just the same as when she first saw it.

The wedding from six years ago was a regret in his heart, and wasn’t it also one in hers? Or perhaps, it was a regret in her father’s heart too.

She remembered how her father had been ready to prepare the wedding for her back then, even making quite a few arrangements over in J City.

She knew he thought maybe she still had concerns, maybe hadn’t thought it through, which was why he was saying this.

But really, what was there to think about? That night when she left him at the Quinn Family’s house, when she gave herself back to him, she had already let go of the shadows of the past, already decided to follow him for the rest of her life.

"No need to wait," Mabel said with a gentle smile. "Help me put it on now. I think I’ve already decided."

His body trembled suddenly, and an undeniable astonishment was on his face, "You... have really decided?"
