Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife
Chapter 1382 - 1421: Reversal
After a while, the commotion from the direction of the lounge could be heard, and Alessia Quinn felt even more triumphant. Has the matter been discovered?
Mabel Quinn is about to be completely disgraced!
She pretended to be surprised and said to the staff beside her, "What’s going on? Has something happened over there? Why is it so noisy? Could it be that Atlas Shaw refused an interview again?"
"I’m not sure." The staff member beside her naturally didn’t know what had happened.
"Let’s go over and take a look." Alessia said matter-of-factly, and no longer paid attention to the bodyguard, but walked towards the lounge with the others.
However, as soon as she reached the door of the lounge, Alessia felt as if she had been slapped in the face. The lounge door hadn’t even been opened, yet the person she had arranged to open the door was caught and was being questioned.
And the person who caught them was also known by Alessia — Mabel Quinn’s other bodyguard!
What is going on here?! This is simply a trap, using a bodyguard to catch her attention, making her anxious to send someone to open the door again, and then seizing the opportunity to catch the person opening the door?
A shiver ran down Alessia’s spine, a chill spreading across her back. Fortunately, the person assisting with locking and opening the door wasn’t completely brainless at this point. Whatever questions they got asked, their response was always that someone had given them money and a key to help open this door, and that they didn’t know anything else.
Alessia eased a sigh of relief.
"Does this mean Mr. Atlas Shaw was previously locked inside this lounge by someone?" a reporter who came for the interview suddenly asked.
Everyone then realized, and hurriedly pushed the door open and went inside. Naturally, Alessia followed closely behind, eager to witness the exciting scene inside. She was already impatiently waiting to hear Mabel Quinn’s screams.
Thinking back, Mabel should’ve intended for her bodyguard to secretly open the door, making it easy for her to slip away and cover up the scandal, but she probably didn’t expect that so many people would already be gathered outside the room before the bodyguard had a chance to open the door.
The door opened, and everyone filed in, but there were no screams, just a voice that seemed to have been waiting for a long time, "Oh, you’ve arrived."
The speaker was Mabel Quinn, her voice normal, hair and clothing as tidy as could be, so tidy that even if someone wanted to suggest she was "up to something," nobody would believe it!
In front of Mabel was Atlas Shaw, lying on the floor, covered with a blanket, a noticeably pained expression on his face, his cheeks flushed.
Mabel’s bodyguard was already astutely preventing the photographer brought by the reporters from taking pictures upon entering the room.
"What’s wrong with Mr. Shaw?" someone had already asked.
"He seemed to feel sick after eating something and fainted. It might be food poisoning. When I found out in the room, I tried to run out to call for help, but somehow, I found the door locked from the outside and couldn’t open it. So I could only call my bodyguard to urgently come over to open the door, and then called 120; the ambulance should be arriving shortly." Mabel explained.
Food poisoning? At a glance, it really seemed a bit like that!
