Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife
Chapter 1355 - 1394: The Conditions for Approval
Edward Quinn looked at his daughter in front of him, as if with the passing of years, she increasingly reminded him of Clover.
Clover... Whenever this name flickered through his mind, whenever that face appeared in his mind, it brought him a suffocating pain.
Almost 30 years had passed, yet he still hadn’t found her. How much time did he have left to keep searching for her? Or maybe... her being alive was just wishful thinking on his part.
At this moment, his daughter was willing to forgive Kyle Kinston, willing to start anew with Kyle, which made him feel a bit disoriented. If one day he found Clover, would Clover also be willing to forgive him?
Back then, he had been so terribly wrong, causing Clover to disappear, and causing his own daughter to be by his side but unacknowledged. He no longer expected Clover to forgive him, only hoped to find Clover within his lifetime.
As long as he found her, as long as he confirmed she was safe, then for him, that would be enough.
"Alright, my daughter doesn’t need to force herself!" Edward Quinn said, "Go ask Kyle Kinston to come in, I have some words I want to say to him alone."
Seeing Mabel Quinn somewhat hesitant, Edward Quinn added, "Don’t worry, Father said no matter what decision you make, I’ll support you. But as your father-in-law, I have a few words to say to him. Rest assured, I won’t eat him!"
So Mabel Quinn left the study, Kyle Kinston still waiting outside. Seeing Mabel come out, he hurriedly asked, "How did it go? Did your dad say anything?"
"He didn’t say much, just that I told him I plan to start again with you, and he wants you to go in and talk to him alone." Mabel Quinn replied.
"Alright." Kyle Kinston said, ready to go in, but Mabel Quinn held him back, saying, "If my father speaks too harshly, or if he tries to rough you up, you..."
"I won’t mind, given that back then, I made too many mistakes. Luckily, there’s you and Ivy, your dad wouldn’t really beat me to death," Kyle joked.
His words somehow eased her mood.
Kyle Kinston entered the study. As for the conversation between father-in-law and son-in-law, Mabel Quinn remained unaware, but when Kyle came out from the study, he didn’t look like he’d been roughed up.
"Your dad agreed." He said.
"You weren’t beaten?" She asked.
"...No."
"Did my dad say anything harsh to you? Did he scold you? Or reprimand you?"
"...No, he didn’t."
"So what did my dad say to you?"
"He just asked if I was willing to hand over all my assets to you." He replied.
Mabel Quinn was stunned, "What did you say?"
"I said yes." He answered.
Yes?! Mabel Quinn felt her head spinning just hearing that. She had never thought about Kyle Kinston’s assets; the Kinston Family’s wealth... those numbers... could possibly shock the world!
Then she heard Kyle Kinston say, "So I signed the property relinquishment document with your father, meaning if one day you truly wanted to divorce me, I’d be left penniless."
Kyle’s words sounded pitiful, but his expression suggested otherwise.
