Lin Qi nodded. "They're just people I know. If it's going to affect the Assassin Alliance's operation, I can choose not to save them."

Baili Xueyuan raised an eyebrow slightly, looked at Lin Qi, and then said, "I'll have my people take charge of the evacuees from the Weapon Research Institute. I'll have them brought over when the operation begins. Should I send them to the clinic?"

This was the range of his Ability that Baili Xueyuan had previously deduced, and it was also the range within which Lin Qi had exerted his power back in Greenfield City.

Less than a month had passed since the Greenfield City incident, and Lin Qi didn't want Baili Xueyuan to uncover any more of his secrets.

Baili Xueyuan only responded with a single word, "Fine," then gave Lin Qi a deep look. Immediately after, the light and shadows around her began to distort again.

"Wait."

Lin Qi suddenly spoke up, stopping the top figure from the Assassin Alliance.

The light and shadows around Baili Xueyuan settled. "What is it? A change of heart?"

Lin Qi looked into Baili Xueyuan's eyes and voiced the question that had been puzzling him. "What exactly is your stance on saving people? I don't think forcing me to rescue them is the Assassin Alliance's style."

Lin Qi still felt that Baili Xueyuan wanted him to save those people, but he just couldn't figure out why.

According to Lin Xin's description, the operation at the H4 Skyscraper was more typical of the Assassin Alliance's methods.

They would never care about the deaths of innocents in order to complete a mission.

Baili Xueyuan didn't answer Lin Qi's question directly. The light and shadows around her began to blur once more. Before she left, she said one last thing: "All I want is an answer."
