Six Months Later

"Today is your first day at the academy, isn’t it?"

The deep, commanding voice came from the man seated at the head of the dining table, causing the nineteen-year-old sitting to his left to hurriedly swallow the food in his mouth.

"Yes, Brother," he replied enthusiastically, looking at the older man with admiration shining in his eyes. "They’re also announcing the entrance examination rankings today. I promise, just like you, I’ll be at the top. I’ll make you proud!"

His brother looked up from his breakfast and smiled faintly.

"It doesn’t matter where you rank. I’m proud of you regardless."

After a brief pause, his expression turned stern.

"Although I would appreciate it if you reduced your reckless behaviour a little. You’re no longer a high school student."

Louis immediately looked offended.

"That, I can’t promise," he replied innocently. "After all, I’m Alpha Kael’s younger brother. If I don’t boss people around, then who will? That’s not excessive... right?"

He was about to continue boasting but his brother had now crossed his arms not buying what he was saying, Kael slowly raised an eyebrow, one look. That was all it took.

"Louis," Kael said calmly. "You know exactly what I’m talking about."

Louis, keeping his grievances hidden in his heart sighed dramatically before standing up from his chair, lowering his head as though he had suffered a great injustice.

"I know, Brother. I’ll try to restrain myself... especially when it comes to women."

Without waiting for another lecture, he quickly walked away from the dining table.

Once he believed he was far enough, he muttered under his breath,

"He treats women like they’re pests and expects me to do the same? Impossible."

"I heard that, Little Master." Kael’s voice echoed from behind him. "If I receive one more complaint about you, you’ll find out who else I consider pests."

Louis froze, then he felt a light tap landing on his shoulder, making him shudder.

"I-I’m sorry, Brother!"

Kael gave him another warning glance."We’re outside the mansion now." His voice carried the authority of an Alpha. "Address me as Alpha."

"Yes, Alpha." Louis nodded obediently before the two brothers headed toward their respective destinations.

.....

As the sleek black luxury car entered the Dreven Academy campus, the entire place erupted into excitement.

Students pushed past one another, desperate for a glimpse of the person who was inside the car.

"Oh my Goddess!" one girl squealed. "All my hard work has finally paid off! I’ll get to see Louis Dreven with my own eyes!"

Several nearby girls shot her annoyed looks. Yet none of them looked away from the approaching car. They were just as eager.

Without slowing down, the car drove deeper into the campus, leaving behind dozens of disappointed students who hadn’t even managed to catch a glimpse of the most famous heartthrob across the countless packs his brother ruled.

"Do you think like always, Louis will also be the topper this time?" Among the various murmurs before replying to the very stupid question.

Among the excited murmurs, a voice asked brimmed with curiosity "Do you think Louis will be the one to get Dravera this year?"

Several students turned towards the curious girl who received countless glares as another one scoffed as though she had asked the dumbest question imaginable.

"Who else could beat him?" one student said. "He’s not only the smartest student admitted this year, but also the strongest wolf among all the freshmen."

She folded her arms confidently. "Does anyone here even dare compete with Louis Dreven?"

Away from their chatter, a girl with long jet-black hair hurried through the crowd the moment she saw Louis step out of the car.

He was dressed in a black tailored academy blazer that he wore carelessly over an open-collared white shirt, the sleeves rolled up to his forearms. A silver chain rested around his neck, while his perfectly fitted black trousers and polished boots only added to his effortless bad-boy charm.

He removed his sunglasses with one hand and looked around with his cold eyes

A single strand of dark hair slipped over his forehead, partially covering one eye and making his already handsome face appear even more dangerous.

"Louis!" The girl threw herself into his arms and then looked up at him with a pout. "I’ve been waiting forever! Why are you so late?"

Louis glanced down at her with visible exhaustion. "I was having breakfast with Alpha." He gently pushed her away. "Now move before my patience runs out, Maria."

Knowing his temper all too well, Maria immediately stepped aside while maintaining her elegant smile. As she walked beside him through the academy corridors, she couldn’t help but enjoy the countless jealous stares directed at her.

"The ceremony won’t begin for another few minutes," Maria said sweetly. "Should we go to an empty classroom until then? I bought a new book, and I was hoping you could help me read it."

As she spoke, she subtly tugged at her academy shirt, the top few buttons already left open far more than the dress code allowed.

Louis looked at her.

His expression remained unreadable.

Without saying a word, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her into a nearby empty classroom.

...

"Welcome, everyone, to Dreven Academy, the place where the finest warriors and greatest minds of the werewolf world are forged." The announcer’s voice echoed through the auditorium, thunderous applause echoed throughout the massive auditorium.

The presenter smiled before continuing.

"It has long been our academy’s tradition to award the Dravera to the student who delivers an extraordinary performance in our entrance examination."

The crowd quietened.

"It has been ten years since anyone last achieved the score required to receive this honour."

A murmur swept through the audience.

"But this year..."

His smile widened.

"We once again have a student worthy of receiving the Dravera. Before the academic year officially begins, it is our honour to announce the recipient of this prestigious award."

The applause became even louder as all the students looked ahead to the name that would be announced.

Maria clapped excitedly as she leaned toward Louis.

"I’m so excited for you!"

She smiled brightly.

"Just like Alpha Kael received the Dravera ten years ago, you’ll receive one today too. Imagine having two Draveras in the same family!"

Louis didn’t respond, his eyes remained fixed on the stage.

His face was completely expressionless.

The announcer unfolded the envelope in his hands.

"The student who will receive the Dravera after an entire decade is..."

The entire auditorium fell silent, every student stopped breathing for a second even if they knew that it was going to be Louise

"Athena Moonvel!"

The announcer’s voice thundered through the hall. Complete silence followed. Every face froze in shock.
