Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 978:- Rebellion [I]

Chapter 978: Chapter 978:- Rebellion [I]

After the event with the Radiant Empire, Aditya did not care about how the outside world reacted. Whether the other empires feared him, hated him, or tried to understand his actions, it did not matter to him anymore. His mind remained calm, and his focus stayed where it always belonged — on himself, his family, his strength, and the empire he was building. Without allowing that incident to disturb his peace, Aditya quietly returned to his old routine, as if nothing unusual had happened.

His days began early in the morning.

He would wake up before the sun fully rose, when the sky was still covered in a faint orange glow. The first thing he did was train. Training was very important to him.

If Alicia had enough energy left from their night activity, she would join him. But there were many mornings when she remained asleep, her body still exhausted from the intense night they had shared. On those mornings, Aditya trained alone.

Even someone as powerful as him could not allow himself to grow lazy. His strength did not come from talent alone. It came from control, understanding, and constant training.

He spent hours refining his abilities. Sometimes, he focused on his Crimson Lightning Blink, practising instant teleportation across short distances and trying to push his body to the limit. His figure would disappear and reappear repeatedly across the training ground, each movement becoming smoother and faster than before.

Other times, he trained his flame control. He would create small crimson flames above his palm, slowly increasing their temperature while maintaining perfect stability. Instead of creating large, destructive explosions, he focused on precision. He practised compressing the flames into thin threads, sharp enough to cut through steel without creating any large visual disturbance. The most important thing was to deepen his understanding of his Crimson Flames while creating various powerful techniques to use on his opponents.

On some days, he focused on his physical body. He would practice close combat movements, swinging his weapon, adjusting his stance, and improving his reaction speed. Sometimes, he trained not just with swords but also with greatswords, spears, and daggers. The goal was to learn more about these weapons.

Thanks to his Instant learning and adaptation, he had a very deep understanding of close combat. Being able to learn from his opponents in battle and use it against them always gave him an edge in battle.

With so many different powers under his control, Aditya needed to dedicate at least one or two hours every day to training. Without proper practice, even the strongest ability could become slow or inefficient. He needed to make sure that when the time came, he could use the best possible technique against his opponents without hesitation.

After finishing his training, Aditya would normally return to the palace.

From there, he would have breakfast with his family. This was one of the few peaceful moments of his day. It was also a moment for the entire family to bond. This time was non-negotiable. Everyone must eat together, no matter what.

They would sit together, creating a calm, quiet atmosphere. Sometimes they talked about small things, sometimes they joked, and sometimes they simply enjoyed the silence together. For Aditya, these moments helped him clear his mind.

After breakfast, his attention shifted toward his responsibilities as the ruler. Most of his administrative work was handled through the system he and Spencer had built together. Because of that system, his workload was greatly reduced.

He would review reports about different sectors of the empire. This included checking resource production, city development progress, military training reports, and economic stability. He made sure that food remained affordable for citizens, that soldiers continued their training properly, and that no noble family acted beyond their authority.

Sometimes he approved construction projects. Other times, he reviewed requests from governors or military commanders.

Because everything was properly organised, this work rarely took more than two or three hours. Spencer had made sure that only the most important matters reached Aditya.

For the rest of the day, Aditya spent his time more freely.

Sometimes he spent time with his girls, enjoying their company and relaxing. These moments helped him maintain his mental balance. Even someone like him needed moments where he could simply exist without thinking about power, enemies, or responsibilities.

But nowadays, he focuses on studying Runes.

Aditya isolated himself in a quiet room and studied runes with 100% concentration. The notes he received from the Dwarf Ancestor were extremely valuable.

They contained knowledge far beyond what modern runemasters understood.

Aditya carefully studied each rune structure, analysing its formation, energy flow, and purpose. He practised drawing runes repeatedly, sometimes engraving them on metal plates, sometimes forming them using pure mana. Some runes focused on strengthening weapons.

He studied the runes in the notes and then began applying what he learned to various experimental artefacts and formations. These were 5-star runes; he couldn’t just remember everything. Even for him, the runes were too complex, and just memorising them wasn’t enough. To become a full-fledged 5-star rune master, he needed to learn how to apply them in practice.

This is how the daily life of the Dragon Monarch continued. A life without any disturbance from the outside. A very long and fulfilling day. To him, this is what an ideal life looked like.

Scene Change______

While the Dragon Monarch was relaxing and settling into his old routine without a care about the world, there were many cultivators harbouring evil thoughts about the Istarin Empire and the Dragon Monarch.

The newest addition to this was the few former Vice-Generals or Lieutenant Generals, who were given the option to join the Istarin Empire’s military, but chose to go rogue. These generals did not go rogue alone; instead, a total of 13,451 troops also joined them.

The motivation behind this was simple and clear. These Lieutenant Generals did not want to join the Istarin Empire. The Empire’s policy was clear; regardless of your previous rank, every official from the military had to go through a month and a half of long training. After that, depending on their talent, cultivation and previous contributions, they will be assigned ranks. It wasn’t like the Lieutenant Generals of the Radiant Empire would suddenly become the Lieutenant Generals of the Istarin Empire. No, this did not work like this.

The Second reason behind this was that the troops and the Lieutenant Generals felt betrayed by their own Empire. The fact that their Emperor suddenly decided release them from the military with the option to join the Istarin Empire made them feel betrayed. At least, this was a narrative that the Lieutenant Generals used to make almost 13,000+ troops join neither side and instead go Rogue.

To make matters worse, Lieutenant Generals were in possession of almost 200 million Royal Gold coins. They also now claimed control of several large artificial lakes and a few villages built around them.

Both the Istarin Empire and the Radiant Empire, from their respective sides, had independently contacted these Lieutenant Generals. Their goal was simple; settle this matter peacefully, without resorting to violence or unnecessary bloodshed. Neither empire wished to escalate the situation, especially when the conflict could still be controlled through proper communication.

Unfortunately, these Lieutenant Generals were not ready to listen.

At least in the beginning, there were still peaceful talks between both sides. Diplomats were sent with respect, carrying formal messages and offers meant to calm the situation. For a short time, it seemed like there was still hope for a peaceful resolution.

But after those first few attempts, something changed.

No one knew what exactly shifted in their minds, but their behaviour became completely different. They began to reject all forms of communication. Soon after, they crossed a line that could not be easily forgiven.

They started attacking the diplomats sent by both empires.

Some diplomats were injured, while others barely managed to escape with their lives. Messages were no longer returned with words, but with violence. It was no longer a misunderstanding, but it had become open hostility.

After that, their actions only became more aggressive.

They began to treat both empires as enemies, showing no respect for their authority. Patrol groups sent near their controlled areas were attacked without warning, and their soldiers openly displayed their hostility. It was clear now that they no longer had any intention of resolving this matter peacefully.

Seeing the behaviour of his former Lieutenant Generals and his former troops, Emperor Rowan was beginning to panic.

At the Capital of the Radiant Empire,

"How dare these bastards attack their own people?" This whole situation made Rowan feel like everyone was slapping his face left and right.

Before this whole situation, he had ruled over this empire with an iron fist. For hundreds of years, no one dared to have any negative thoughts towards the throne or the emperor. There was no uprising or any kind of rebellion in his Land.
