--- Chapter 533 ---

"Hmm, what is... an Alien Spirit Soul?" Xu Xiaoyan asked with a bewildered expression.

"Mu Xi, explain it to Xiaoyan," Xing Lan instructed casually, leaning back against the wall. "Let's see if any of the lessons I taught you actually managed to drill into your head."

Mu Xi pouted, crossing her arms. "Teacher, you're underestimating me way too much."

"Fine then!"

"Xiaoyan, listen carefully!" She gave the younger girl a proud, boastful look.

"Mhm, mhm!" Xu Xiaoyan nodded eagerly in response.

Mu Xi cleared her throat, dramatically lowering her voice to sound like an epic storyteller. "Once upon a time..."

"..."

Everyone else in the room stared at Mu Xi speechlessly. They all knew this girl was about to go completely off the rails.

"An Alien Spirit Soul is a unique derivative born from extraterrestrial or extra-dimensional entities that fell into our world," Mu Xi said smoothly, stunning everyone.

"For instance, the Evil Eye Spirit Beasts—those massive floating eyeballs with tentacles—were not originally native. They crashed onto the Sun Moon Continent during ancient times."

"Over thousands of years, the natural laws and atmospheric energy of the Douluo Continent forced these alien entities to adapt and assimilate into spirit beasts."

"However... as human technology advanced through Spirit Guidance tools, researchers began discovering traces of extra-dimensional lives across the planet—creatures that hadn't fully converted into spirit beasts, yet retained their race's most dominant genetic traits and abilities."

"The Spirit Pagoda finally conducted specialized experiments using these genetic matrices, eventually creating the artificial Alien Spirit Souls we have today."

"I've heard that Alien Spirit Souls are notoriously aggressive and possess an unyielding nature," She added thoughtfully. "Very few Spirit Masters have the mental fortitude to contract them successfully."

"Of course, since Grandpa Han brought this one for you, it means it is entirely safe," Mu Xi assured, gesturing to Han Tianyi on the side. "He wouldn't give a dangerous entity to a little girl."

"Wow, Mu Xi explained... wait, she really explained it very well!" Han Tianyi exclaimed in surprise, causing everyone to chuckle at Mu Xi's darkened expression.

"Grandpa Han! Not you too?!" Mu Xi pouted, glaring hatefully at the silver-haired elder.

Han Tianyi coughed into his fist, clearing his throat awkwardly. "Ahem! Of course not. I was praising you, Mu Xi."

"Indeed, Alien Spirit Souls function exactly as described, though their distribution remains strictly classified."

"After all, the existence of extra-dimensional entities is still a taboo topic for the general public."

"What you hold in your hands, Xiaoyan, is a specialized Alien Spirit Soul that I personally synthesized using the living genetic material of two distinct extra-dimensional beasts."

"The Stardust Butterfly and the Odd-Eyes Drake."

"The fusion of these two bloodlines gave rise to a star-attributed dragon-type Spirit Soul that is in no way inferior to pure-blooded Dragon Spirit Beasts."

"I named it the Odd-Eyes Dragon. I originally intended to keep it for Han Yuan, but since he has already contracted a far more terrifying partner, this little guy belongs to you now."

"Furthermore, due to the immense purity of the Odd-Eyes Dragon's star essence, it will provide your Starwheel Ice Staff with the foundation and nutrients it needs to initiate its future evolution."

He smiled warmly. "Open the Spirit Soul Sphere. I will personally guide you through the Soul Contract."

"Given your current Spiritual Power level, refining and absorbing this 100-year-old Alien Spirit Soul should be smooth sailing."

Xu Xiaoyan listened attentively before turning her small head to look at Han Yuan. "Brother Yuan... do you think I should contract it?"

"You definitely should," Han Yuan answered with a firm nod. "The growth potential of this Odd-Eyes Dragon is exceptional."

However, what no one in the room realized was that Han Yuan's face had been twitching subtly ever since Han Tianyi described the Spirit Soul's origin.

'Odd-Eyes Dragon...?! Isn't that the signature ace monster of a certain dimension-hopping duel master?!'

'My butterfly wings shouldn't be shifting this world's lore THAT drastically, right?!'

'RIGHT?!'

"Then I'll contract it!" Xu Xiaoyan declared resolutely. She pressed the release mechanism on the metallic sphere, allowing a soft burst of starlight to illuminate the room.

The Odd-Eyes Dragon materialized before them. It was a compact, sleek, lizard-like dragon covered in radiant reddish-white scales.

Its most striking feature was its mismatched eyes—one glowing crimson red and the other a brilliant star-emerald green, both pulsing with star energy.

"So cute!" Mu Xi squealed, her eyes sparkling.

The Odd-Eyes Dragon looked around, observing its surroundings with a sharp intelligence. Its gaze passed over Xing Lan and Han Tianyi before locking onto Han Yuan, as if sensing an irresistible, supreme star aura emanating from him.

"Interesting." Han Yuan smiled faintly, extending his index finger toward the little dragon. The Odd-Eyes Dragon let out a low, pleasant purr and eagerly rubbed its scaled head against his fingertip.

With a gentle mental transmission, Han Yuan then gestured toward Xu Xiaoyan. The young dragon blinked its mismatched eyes and nodded in understanding.

"It possesses such high intelligence at merely a hundred years old?" Xing Lan remarked in genuine astonishment. "Is this the unique superiority of an extra-dimensional bloodline?"

"It's truly a fascinating creature," Ouyang Zixin murmured, watching the interaction with interest.

Then, Han Tianyi instructed Xu Xiaoyan to sit cross-legged and enter a meditative state. As she summoned her Starwheel Ice Staff, he initiated the Soul Contract ritual to bond her with the 100-year-old Odd-Eyes Dragon.

The process was very smooth.

What Han Tianyi didn't notice was that Han Yuan was quietly weaving his own spiritual power into the bonding array from the shadows, altering the fundamental details of Xu Xiaoyan's Soul Contract to be like his own.

He had previously applied this enhancement to Mu Xi's Spirit Soul, and Xu Xiaoyan was receiving the same thing. Under this superior Soul Contract, not only would Xu Xiaoyan and the Odd-Eyes Dragon form an unbreakable spiritual link, but their origin energies would continuously nourish and elevate each other over time.

Fifteen minutes later, Xu Xiaoyan gradually opened her starry eyes, letting out a long, peaceful breath. "Is this what it feels like to become a true Spirit Master...?"

"It feels... so warm and comfortable!"

Both Han Tianyi and Xing Lan, the two most powerful entities in the room, instantly sensed the surge in her spirit power. They exchanged a look of pure shock.

"Level 15?!"

"She broke straight through to Level 15 in a single leap?!"

"This... how is that even possible?" Mu Xi gasped, her jaw dropping.

Ouyang Zixin thought for a moment before offering a guess. "Could it be a reaction from her Spirit Fusion with Xiao Yuan?"

"I heard Spirit Fusion could speed up one's cultivation."

"She had been stuck at Level 10 for over a month without contracting a Spirit Soul. Her accumulated spirit energy was naturally halted behind the bottleneck. Once the spirit ring was formed, all that backed-up cultivation erupted at once."

"Mhm, that explains it," Han Yuan reached out, gently patting Xu Xiaoyan on the head. "Great job, Xiaoyan."

Xu Xiaoyan giggled happily, leaning into his hand. "Hehe! Brother Yuan praised me!"

"Even so, jumping five full levels instantly upon absorbing a first spirit ring is extraordinary..." Han Tianyi stroked his beard thoughtfully. "Xiaoyan, can you show us your 1st Spirit Skill and explain its function?"

"Okay!" Xu Xiaoyan nodded enthusiastically.

She summoned the Starwheel Ice Staff. The staff's frame was noticeably brighter than before, its golden star crest flickering with radiant starlight as a single yellow Spirit Ring rose from beneath her feet.

A mischievous spark glinted in her eyes as she pointed her staff directly at Mu Xi. "Sister Mu Xi, would you mind helping me test my new skill?"

"Hmph! Bring it on! This sister isn't afraid!" Mu Xi puffed out her chest confidently.

Before Mu Xi could even get into a combat stance, Xu Xiaoyan activated her skill without a single word of warning.

"1st Spirit Skill: Chains of Stars!"

Clang—!

Etherial, glowing chains woven purely from star energy appeared directly out of thin air. They slithered across the room at lightning speed, coiling tightly around Mu Xi before she could even react.

Mu Xi snorted, flexing her muscles to shatter the ethereal chains—only to freeze in utter disbelief as she realized her body refused to move a single muscle.

"W-What kind of skill is this?!" Mu Xi shouted in panic. "I can't channel my spirit power at all!"

Xu Xiaoyan puffed out her chest triumphantly as she explained. "Chains of Stars manifests starlight into physical bindings. Upon hitting a target, it guarantees an absolute stun for at least one to two seconds!"

"In addition, it applies an absolute Silence effect, completely sealing the target's spirit power and preventing them from activating any Spirit Skills during the stun duration!"

"Of course, if an opponent has already activated their martial souls and spirit skills beforehand or possesses overwhelmingly better speed, they could dodge or break the chains."

"What an absurdly strong control skill!" Ouyang Zixin drew in a sharp breath.

'Holy shit!" Even Han Yuan was impressed. This was an upgraded version of Xu Xiaoyan's original 1st Spirit Skill.

"As expected... the legend of the Starwheel Ice Staff is justified," Han Tianyi praised, shaking his head in awe.

Xing Lan looked at the young blue-haired girl, her gaze softening with immense fondness. "Xiaoyan... would you like to become my third personal disciple?"

Xu Xiaoyan didn't hesitate for a single second. Bowing respectfully, she chirped, "Xiaoyan greets Master!"

After all, becoming Xing Lan's disciple meant she had a legit reason to stick by Han Yuan's side every single day!

"Good! Hahaha!" Xing Lan laughed joyfully.

"Congratulations, Junior Sister Xiaoyan," Ouyang Zixin offered a warm smile. "We are official disciple sisters now."

"Hmph! I'm still the Senior Sister here!" Mu Xi huffed, rubbing her arms as the starlight chains finally dissolved.

Han Yuan watched the lively scene before him, a calm, satisfied smile appearing on his face.

'That makes three... My core team is already taking shape.'

'I wonder who will be joining us next.'
