"Poppy, your mother told me about what happened before. I never thought that Miranda Dalton could be so deranged."

Tiana Thorne sensed her consolation, smiled at her, and said, "The universe has its cycles, good begets good, and evil begets evil. Some people, if they’ve committed wrongs, can’t hide from the eyes of Buddha."

Saying this, her smile became even sweeter: "Miranda Dalton and her mother have paid the price for this. Aunt, I’m not sad."

She deliberately said this for her aunt to hear.

Tiana nodded, then moved past the topic: "Aunt, this is my first time visiting your home. Could you show me around? Mom said that when we were young, my brothers often fought in your backyard. I’d like to see their battlefield."

Aunt waved it off nonchalantly and looked at Rouge Jarvis with indulgent eyes: "Everyone has a childhood. If anyone really caused trouble, it was your mother who was a real character."

Rouge quickly defended herself: "Aunt, don’t embarrass me in front of the kids. A mother should maintain an authoritative image in their hearts."

"Alright, alright, let’s go, take a look at the backyard."

Tiana followed behind the elders.

Aiden Shaw walked towards her, matching her pace, his eyes fixed on their aunt.

Tiana softly said in a voice only he could hear, "Fourth brother, what do you think?"

He said, "Find a way to stay the night."

Tiana nodded.

She doesn’t want to doubt such a kind and amiable aunt. It’s just that the only person who knows the Ford family matters best is her, and she was once involved in persuading mom to adopt Miranda Dalton.

Her mother’s relationship with their aunt is much better than she imagined.

She has never seen her mom smile so sweetly and gently in front of others, preserving the best of her youth, which is rare.

Tiana picked up a small piece of apple and smiled, "Aunt, this backyard is like a small amusement park, and the landscaping is beautiful too."

"Poppy, if you don’t mind this old lady, come over and play often."

"Alright."

Just as everyone was happily chatting, suddenly, a woman quickly grabbed the fruit knife from the table.

She was right next to Tiana, and with a swift motion, used the fruit knife to hold her hostage.

The sharp tip of the knife pressed against her swan-like neck, her eyes filled with resentment.
