The western explosion had barely stopped echoing through the fortress when the atmospheric pressure shifted violently. Raviah felt the sudden change before any digital security sensor could register it.

A strange, suffocating weight swept across every corner of Sol Haven. It was neither a seismic tremor nor a standard weather anomaly. It was raw, concentrated energy.

A vast, invisible wave rolled through the complex, passing effortlessly through concrete walls, military armor, lush green crops, and thousands of trembling human bodies.

Raviah’s eyes widened as her chest tightened with pressure.

"Rhyder..." she gasped, her hands gripping the edge of the console.

He spun toward the tactical display, his dark eyes instantly locking onto the monitors.

Every screen across the command network flickered wildly before erupting with flashing crimson warning alerts.

[ABNORMAL ENERGY SURGE DETECTED]

[ATMOSPHERIC ENERGY CONCENTRATION: EXTREME]

[MULTIPLE HUMAN ENERGY RESPONSES DETECTED]

Then the tactical numbers began climbing at an impossible speed. Dozens became hundreds, and hundreds quickly surged into thousands.

Raviah stared at the rapidly multiplying energy indicators with pale cheeks.

"Everyone is awakening," she whispered, her voice laced with dread.

The terrifying scream echoed from the center of the civilian refugee sector. A flash of intense orange fire erupted directly from a terrified man’s open hands.

"Get away from me!" He shrieked, flailing his arms in panic.

Flames exploded across a temporary wooden shelter, igniting the dry canvas roof in seconds. Nearby refugees scattered in wild panic, knocking over crates and trampling tents.

A squad soldier rushed forward with a foam suppression device, but another fleeing civilian suddenly slammed both palms against the dirt path. The ground violently buckled beneath them, throwing several people off their feet.

"What’s happening to me?!" Someone screamed into the chaotic night.

Another wave of raw energy surged through the overcrowded settlement like an electric shock. A young woman screamed as fresh water erupted from an open storage container, spiraling wildly around her torso before crashing onto the floor.

Beside her, a frightened teenage boy raised a trembling hand toward a nearby security post. The metal railing twisted violently, bending itself into a crooked, jagged spear. Within ten minutes, the structured safety of Sol Haven descended into chaos.

Fires roared, water geysered into the night, stone pillars fractured, and wind gusts ripped through canvas tents. Sparks of electricity crackled along chain-link fences while ice coated several concrete pathways.

Even stranger, far more terrifying abilities began manifesting among the crowd. A few refugees accidentally summoned translucent barriers that repelled approaching guards. Others accelerated their physical movements so dramatically that military personnel saw only blurred shadows.

One frightened man accidentally teleported three meters sideways, slamming violently into a concrete wall. Another survivor released a pressurized blast of compressed air that shattered every window inside a brick storage warehouse.

The fortress emergency network quickly became saturated with endless frantic reports.

[MULTIPLE ELEMENTAL AWAKENINGS CONFIRMED]

[CIVILIAN INJURIES INCREASING]

[UNCONTROLLED ENERGY DISCHARGE DETECTED]

Raviah immediately understood the horrific reality unfolding around them. The awakening process was no longer limited to a small handful of compatible individuals. The atmospheric energy across the world had finally reached a critical threshold.

Thousands of ordinary survivors were awakening their innate Root abilities simultaneously. However, without prior preparation or guidance, almost none of them knew how to control the volatile power flooding their veins.

"Medical teams, move into the refugee sectors immediately!" Raviah ordered into her comm-link.

Rhyder was already barking tactical commands to his garrison officers.

"All military personnel equipped with suppression devices deploy to civilian zones now," he barked. "Do not fire live rounds unless absolutely necessary."

He turned his attention back to Raviah, his expression grim.

"Can you organize these people before they tear the fortress apart from the inside?" He asked.

"I can," she answered without hesitation.

Raviah turned toward the remaining command staff on duty.

"Convert the western agricultural warehouse into a fully controlled training facility right now," she commanded.

Rhyder caught her train of thought instantly.

"You’re creating an Elemental containment and training center," he observed.

"Yes," she confirmed firmly.

"If they don’t learn immediate control over their roots, they’ll become a fatal threat to themselves and everyone around them," she added.

Within hours of the initial energy surge, Sol Haven’s very first Elemental Training Center was operational. The massive steel warehouse was quickly reinforced with shock-absorbing alloy panels.

Training chambers were divided based on specific elemental manifestations to prevent catastrophic chain reactions. Fire users were isolated from water supplies and combustible materials. Earth users were assigned reinforced stone platforms anchored deep underground.

Water manipulators practiced inside thick containment chambers built with specialized drainage systems. Air users trained within sealed, controlled pressure zones to prevent localized atmospheric bursts.

Survivors manifesting unknown or rare spatial abilities were temporarily placed inside specialized observation rooms.

Raviah immediately established strict, unshakeable rules for everyone who entered. Combat between trainees was strictly forbidden under penalty of expulsion. Unauthorized Root activation outside designated training bays was treated as an act of hostility.

No elemental experimentation was permitted near civilian living quarters under any circumstances. Every single awakened person was required to undergo a full medical examination and rank classification.

The instructional staff needed to comprehend this newly evolved power structure before they could hope to teach anyone else. One of the very earliest volunteers to step up as a trainer was Daniel.

He stood calmly inside the center of the primary training hall, surrounded by dozens of nervous, newly awakened survivors.

A soft, controlled elemental glow illuminated his open hands.

"Gaining control isn’t about using brute force to compel your Root to obey," Daniel explained clearly. "It’s about understanding what the energy naturally wants to do."

He demonstrated the concept with precise, careful movements. A steady stream of amber fire gathered quietly around his open palm. The flame remained perfectly stationary, silent, and fully controlled. The frightened trainees watched the quiet display in pure fascination.

"Now, try it again," Daniel instructed, pointing toward a young girl. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ

The young woman took a deep breath and attempted the same focusing technique. Her orange flames suddenly flared out of control, roaring toward the ceiling.

Daniel reacted instantly, stepping in to redirect the rogue energy upward before it could touch nearby trainees.

"Good effort," Daniel said calmly, offering her an encouraging nod. "You caught yourself before it became dangerous."

Raviah watched the entire scene unfold from the high glass observation platform above.

Daniel was adapting to his leadership role far faster than she had anticipated. He wasn’t just a powerful combatant. He possessed true self-discipline. That level of restraint made him an invaluable asset to the surviving community.

Outside the reinforced walls, however, the global awakening wave showed no signs of slowing down. Thousands of additional refugees were registering active elemental signatures every single hour.

Raviah stared down at her data tablet, watching the exponentially growing figures. This massive wave of awakenings was occurring far earlier in the timeline than what she remembered from her past life.

The ruined world was no longer simply following the tragic past she knew. It was accelerating into something far more dangerous. Suddenly, a piercing, high-pitched emergency siren shrieked through the facility.

Every instructor and trainee inside the training hall froze in absolute silence.

[UNKNOWN ELEMENTAL SIGNATURE DETECTED]

Daniel quickly turned his head toward the upper observation chamber.

"What is that energy reading?" He called out, his tone dropping into sharp alert.

Raviah’s hand scanner began displaying wildly spiking energy metrics that defied normal classification.

Down in the central isolation room, a small, fragile child stood entirely alone.

She couldn’t have been more than seven or eight years old. Her terrified eyes were wide and filled with tears as she stared down at her own violently trembling hands.

Daniel approached the clear glass barrier with extreme caution.

"It’s okay, sweetheart," he said gently, trying to soothe her.

The little girl’s fingers suddenly began glowing with a blinding, iridescent light.

Daniel’s calm facial expression shattered into shock in an instant. His portable wrist scanner screamed a frantic warning beep.

[ENERGY OUTPUT: EXCEEDING TRAINING PARAMETERS]

Raviah stepped rapidly to the reinforced railing, her heart sinking into her stomach. The little girl’s root output continued to surge violently upward. Higher and higher it climbed, shattering the maximum threshold scales.

Daniel stared down at his handheld monitor in complete, horrified disbelief.

"This is impossible..." he stammered, backing away slightly.

Raviah’s face drained of color as she read the final calculated metrics. The young child’s raw energy output had already blown past Daniel’s high rank. And the terrifying power was still climbing without stopping.

The small girl slowly raised her weeping eyes toward Raviah’s window.

"Doctor..." she sobbed, her tiny voice trembling through the intercom.

"I don’t know how to stop it!" She cried out.

Then, a massive shockwave exploded, and the entire training center began to violently shake.
