Chapter 457: The World’s Strongest Elf, Elas Kelxidor

  • Next Chapter

After speaking of his intentions, Zayne didn’t plan to hide his ignorance of the Perpetual Darkness and reveal himself and Jade to be from a world that had just recently experienced the Perpetual Darkness.

After all, those who would benefit from hiding those were weaklings who didn’t want to reveal themselves as newbies. But in this case, Zayne wasn’t worried about them knowing about it.

If they were to take advantage of that fact and deceive him, he could just keep on killing them until he met a competent and submissive elf who’d carry out his plans.

In other words, if they dared to deceive him, the advantage was his, as he had already displayed the power of a World Class Mage.

To further discourage them from doing so, Zayne added as both of his eyes flashed a crimson gleam, "Do not attempt to fool me, as that would only make you all the fools."

"I was born with the eyes that can see through everything, including your intentions and deceit. If you all were to deceive me, I’ll take it as you lot not being qualified to exist within my presence."

Hearing Zayne’s words, the World’s Strongest, Elas Kelxidor, immediately spoke up, "We dare not deceive Your Excellency. As a mage myself, I am well aware of the gap between you and me."

"Although I exist as the strongest in this world, that’s merely due to Your Excellency not arriving in this world. Now, you exist as the World’s Strongest for as long as you are within this world."

Unlike the High Elves who exist as the Magic Council Elders, Elas wasn’t interested in politics and such. His devotion was all for the sake of the magic path, and so, he had great reverence towards those mages whose power and magic were greater than his.

Elas wasn’t unaware of the gap between mage ranks. In fact, despite becoming the World’s Strongest, he hadn’t remained complacent.

He admitted that when faced with the Perpetual Darkness, the real future of this world was the Light Bearer Path. Unfortunately, even he, who had the greatest light element affinity among the elf race, progressed way slower in the Light Bearer Path than in the Magic Path.

Due to this, Elas had given up on becoming a Light Bearer, and instead, he had solely focused on the progress of his Magic Path. Even when he had become the World’s Strongest, he still strove for progress, as he knew that his current power wasn’t the limit.

When he had experienced the mana pressure that Zayne had released before, Elas realized the gap between the two of them, and so he didn’t want to offend Zayne in fear of him massacring the elf country.

He didn’t doubt Zayne’s claim of being a World Class Mage. After all, Elas wasn’t blind, and he could at least determine that the magic artifacts and mage robe that Zayne and Jade had worn were all Aether-grade items.

Not to mention, the quality and quantity of mana that Zayne had released before couldn’t be faked. Elas could at least discern that even he, this World’s Strongest, couldn’t resist Zayne, let alone defeat him.

With this in mind, Elas sought peaceful cooperation with Zayne and Jade. Even if Zayne robbed them in broad daylight, Elas would even pack it up for their convenience.

’With their power as a World Class Mage, their magic spell can easily destroy this world. No matter what, I can’t offend them!’

’Resources and the like can easily be regained. They aren’t as valuable as the lives of the entire elf race!’

Elas Kelxidor had such thoughts, and those were naturally seen through by Zayne and Jade’s XX-rank All Seeing Eyes.

Seeing that Elas was cooperative and was well aware of his position, Zayne was delighted that he didn’t have to kill him and replace him with another elf.

Creating copies of his magic books using Creation Sovereignty, Zayne handed them to Elas and the other High Elves beside him.

The magic books floated towards Elas and the others, causing them to receive them carefully, as they knew how valuable a magic book from a World Class Mage was.

"To show my sincerity, here are magic books that contain magic spells for Ten Circle Mages and even World Class Magic spells. You can verify their authenticity first and then arrange our visit to your treasury to see what we need."

Hearing Zayne’s words, Elas quickly flipped through the pages of the magic book he received. The more he read and looked at it, the more his eyes gleamed with a thirst for knowledge.

With his vision as a Ten Circle Mage, Elas knew very well that the magic knowledge recorded in the book was not only plausible and authentic, but they were even summarized well to the point that a Ten Circle Mage like him could understand it.

After all, for things related to World Class Magic, it would be intentionally obscure and difficult to decipher, especially for Ten Circle Mages like him who were a rank below it.

But with how Zayne had written, compiled, and explained the principles and theories related to World Class Magic, Elas didn’t have difficulty in comprehending it.

Among the elf mages that accompanied Elas, only one of them was a Ten Circle Mage, while the rest were only Nine Circle Mages.

Due to this, they found it difficult to understand the books related to World Class Magic spells, but those that were related to Ten Circle Magic were still familiar to them.

After reading the magic books, Elas didn’t wait for the opinion of the Magic Council Elders as he spoke up, "I’ve confirmed its authenticity, and I’m willing to cooperate with you as well."

"We can proceed with the trade down below. I can let the Elders arrange the accommodation for both of you if you two plan to stay longer here."

"Although we don’t have much land here, the food and various luxuries will surely not disappoint Your Excellency."
