The description of the title was straightforward, yet powerful. It was even useful to Zayne, who was already at Late Celestial rank.

After Zayne equipped this title, he noticed that Jade also did the same. The difference between their title was that Zayne’s title was displayed as "Top 1", while Jade’s was "Top 2".

Feeling no change in her power, Jade used magic to create a ball of fire. She only used mana and controlled her output to release only a one-meter-diameter fireball, yet what appeared was a 1.4-meter-diameter fireball.

Realizing how the title worked, Jade spoke up, "I see. So instead of increasing our internal power, the title works by amplifying what we have released."

"Or to be specific, the title increases our power to influence reality with our attacks."

Zayne nodded in agreement, "That’s right. It doesn’t increase our internal power, but could still allow us to improve our combat power."

"From what I’ve discovered, the title is made up of world rules and origin energy. The title is only effective in this universe, and so even if we manage to leave this universe and equip the Top Survivor title in another universe, it will no longer amplify our power."

"Different World Rules have different effects. But for the most part, World Rules could suppress entities within the world, and by reverse, it could also grant them power."

"In other words, it’s possible for a world-destroying dog to exist in a world. But due to the suppression of world rules, its internal power wasn’t weakened and is still a legitimate Aether rank powerhouse, yet that dog could only display the power of a Bronze rank."

Zayne explained, "This shows the difference between power rank and combat power. Power rank is one’s own internal power and even life level. But for combat power, it fluctuates depending on one’s power rank and other factors such as combat experience, skills, etc."

"However, outside of that, combat power could also be influenced by the World Rules or any other external factors. Combat power is also synonymous with the power that can be used to influence the world."

"In this case, World Rules can affect how much power we can display in the world. Specifically, the Top Survivor title amplifies the external power we can use to influence this world."

As the Top 2 Survivor, Jade’s title increased her external power by 40%, which was 10% less than Zayne’s Top 1 Survivor title.

Zayne and Jade weren’t new to the concept of external power. In fact, Sovereign Territories worked similarly to it.

Within the Sovereign Territory, one’s combat power would be increased while the opponent’s combat power would decrease. The only way to counter it was to also use domain-type skills.

After all, in essence, the Sovereign Territory worked by influencing reality and making one’s own Sovereignty-level Universal Law become the "rule" within a given territory.

In other words, going against a Sovereign within their territory, if that target didn’t possess a Sovereign Territory of the same rank, would be tantamount to a mortal going against the entire world!

The main reason why Zayne had never pursued such power was due to such world rules being exclusive to the Train Survival Universe. Even if he were to inherit it in the Main World Terra, it would no longer be applicable as it’s from another universe.

However, the Top Survivor Title was different. Even with succeeding world updates, it would still be effective, as long as he was within the world where Terra was at.

In fact, it might not just be limited to the World of Terra. It was likely dependent on the Monthly Apocalypse World Update Theme.

For example, in the Zombie Apocalypse, the Top Survivor Title was only limited to the area within the world.

However, if it was a Monthly Apocalypse World Update Theme that encompassed an entire galaxy or even a universe, and not merely just a world, then the Top Survivor Title would take effect within that area.

Realizing this, Zayne decided, ’Aside from increasing my power rank within the Doomsday Life Simulator System, I also cannot afford to neglect the Top Survivor Title in the main world.’

’Since it is labeled as upgradeable, I can likely acquire more power boost percentage if I were to maintain my ranking in the next Top Survivor Ranking.’

Not only Zayne, but Jade had similar thoughts. She had also realized the importance of the power boost brought by the Top Survivor Title.

The boost given would be the difference between two powerhouses of the same rank. In the Zombie Apocalypse, there was a power rank limit of Overlord rank due to the limitations of the zombie virus.

With those thoughts in mind, Zayne and Jade tested the effects of the Top Survivor title while waiting for time to pass.
