Done Breeding: Now I Rule the Beastworld

Chapter 172 - 171: Coming Over to Rest My Wings

The expression on the Yu Clan Leader’s face stiffened. He asked hesitantly, "Are those five Leader Chu’s cubs?"

"They are. Why do you ask? Were they too mischievous and caused trouble for you?" Chu Liangyu raised an eyebrow, her expression one of utter ignorance.

The Yu Clan Leader gave an awkward laugh and waved his hand. "Oh, no, not at all. After spending these past few days with them, I’ve found the cubs to be quite clever."

’Bullshit. How could they not be clever? His entire tribe was being run in circles by those five cubs.’

’But then again, their Beast Mother turned out to be such a formidable figure. It’s no wonder they’re like this.’

Chu Liangyu saw the change in him and understood perfectly. This was one of the perks of having power.

Sometimes, as long as you have power, you’re the boss.

But if you have no power, hmph... sorry, but you’re just a nobody.

It was just like the things the five cubs had done. Before Chu Liangyu showed up, no one would have thought them clever; they would have just seen them as overly insidious and cunning.

Their impression of the cubs was mostly that they were difficult to deal with and unlikable.

As they were preparing to set off, Wen Yuehong studied Chu Liangyu’s expression and said hesitantly, "Beast Mother, since we’re all going back to the tribe, does that mean our train—"

"I met some of your other brothers and sisters on the road, including two cubs from the White Tiger Clan, Yu Chu and Yu Jin."

"I originally wanted them to come back with me and pause their training, but they refused."

Chu Liangyu knew what Wen Yuehong was trying to say. But since this was their training, the difficulties they encountered were part of the process.

No matter the danger, solving it themselves was the only right way.

"Guess what they said."

Wen Yuehong felt her face flush. She was older than Yu Chu and Yu Jin, yet all she could think about was retreating.

Her voice thus lacked confidence as she asked, "Wh-what did they say?"

"They said they’ve been protected by their Beast Father and Beast Mother for too long. If they run back to the tribe at the first sign of danger, they’ll never be able to grow."

In reality, those two kids would never have said something like that. It was entirely what Chu Liangyu herself wanted to say to the cubs.

"They’re right. We won’t go back either!"

"Beast Mother, just drop us off somewhere relatively safe. We’ll continue our training."

Wen Zhi naturally understood the meaning behind Chu Liangyu’s words, so he took the initiative to speak up.

Chu Liangyu nodded, but didn’t agree immediately. Instead, she asked, "That’s what the two of you think. What about the other three?"

"Us too!"

The three chorused in agreement, deciding to continue their training.

The rabbit cubs were naturally weaker in talent than other Beastmen. Without enough training and experience to support them, their future would likely be difficult.

Besides, one part of what Chu Liangyu said was true: every single one of her cubs she had met on the road had refused to return to the tribe.

’In this respect... the rabbit cubs’ courage and guts are still lacking.’

Chu Liangyu sighed inwardly. ’Perhaps it has to do with their racial instincts.’

Controlling the trident to keep so many people from being swallowed by the floodwaters and helping them float forward consumed a tremendous amount of energy.

Therefore, she sometimes needed to stop and rest.

Whenever this happened, Chu Liangyu would switch to a low-energy mode, using the trident merely to hold back the floods on either side while the others quickened their pace on foot.

As for Chu Liangyu, she sat atop Xiang Qiancheng’s beast form.

When the mountain-like elephant walked, not only was one of his steps like a hundred of anyone else’s, but his imposing presence was also immense.

What pleased Chu Liangyu even more was that, sitting up so high, her field of vision was clearer and wider than everyone else’s.

Chu Liangyu was resting in high spirits when a gust of wind suddenly blew past her. Immediately after, she felt someone approaching.

She turned her head to see He Yushu reverting from his beast form. He even took a moment to pat the dust off his clothes.

Seeing Chu Liangyu look over, He Yushu explained naturally, "Uh, well, I was flying for too long and got a little tired. Came over to rest my wings."

Chu Liangyu was silent for a moment, then gave a faint "Oh" and said nothing more.

Perhaps it was his obsession with cleanliness acting up, but He Yushu actually swept his sleeve across the elephant’s back as if dusting off a chair.

"He Yushu, are you sick in the head?!"

Finally, Xiang Qiancheng couldn’t hold back anymore and burst out with such vulgar language.

It was a far cry from his usual gentle and humble demeanor, but to be honest, you couldn’t blame him.

After all, even Chu Liangyu felt that there was something seriously wrong with He Yushu.

The instant the words were spoken, a long elephant trunk whipped towards He Yushu.

But He Yushu had leveled up as well, so he had the reflexes for it. Before the trunk could land, he dodged out of the way.

His earlier actions had undoubtedly infuriated Xiang Qiancheng. It was now impossible for him to rest on Xiang Qiancheng’s beast form.

He Yushu was also a bit embarrassed. He flew down to the ground, his beast form receding.

As he walked forward, he explained, "I really didn’t do it on purpose. Your beast form’s skin looks so much like a stone bench, I just subconsciously..."

He Yushu went on and on, his tone full of apology.

But Xiang Qiancheng only said one word: "Insane."

He Yushu knew he had been presumptuous just now, so when he heard Xiang Qiancheng’s tone, he didn’t get angry.

He coughed into his fist, pretended he hadn’t heard, and quickened his pace to catch up with the main group ahead.

After Chu Liangyu had rested enough, she resumed her previous method, using the trident to envelop everyone in a layer of energy and using the current to push them forward.

With Chu Liangyu’s cheat-like acceleration, it only took two days for the group to reach the area of the Xihe Tribe.

And here, man-made canals crisscrossed the landscape. At first glance, they looked like silver jade ribbons fluttering into the distance with the breeze.

It was because of this that the areas outside the Xihe Tribe had not been flooded.

"Did the people of the Xihe Tribe dig all this?"

"This is incredible!"

"Look, do you guys see that? Is there some kind of layer covering the Xihe Tribe over there?"

Some who were eagerly anticipating joining the Xihe Tribe immediately looked for the tribe’s location, and in doing so, they discovered something unusual.

Their group was a massive, sprawling crowd. In fact, there were more of them than the entire population of the Xihe Tribe.

The newly selected Guard Team, while on patrol, noticed the anomaly over here. A portion of them decided to investigate, while the others rushed back to the tribe to tell everyone to prepare for battle.

This well-trained response was exactly what Chu Liangyu wanted. It seemed her efforts were finally starting to show some results.

"Alright, no need to be nervous. These are people I brought back."

The words had barely left her mouth when Chu Liangyu flew to the front of the group.
