Done Breeding: Now I Rule the Beastworld

Chapter 170 - 169: Rabbits Are Best at Digging Holes

"Let’s not worry about that for now. First, let’s find some high ground to get out of the rain."

Wen Yuehong soothed her younger sister, then added, "I can tell those females and cubs want to learn; they just haven’t had the chance. We’ll hang around and teach them while they’re out gathering."

The ten-year-old girl spoke with a surprising steadiness, which made the younger ones trust her even more. They had no objections to her proposal.

While they were looking for a place to shelter from the rain, Wen Zhi, the youngest of the five, spoke up. "The downpour is getting heavier. If I’m right, the White Tiger Clan will definitely move their entire tribe to higher ground."

"We can find the highest point and just wait for them there."

Wen Yuehong’s eyes lit up. "You mean we use this shelter as a bargaining chip to get the females to learn the Body Technique from us?"

"Exactly." Wen Zhi nodded, giving her an approving look.

’It had to be said, Wen Zhi’s idea sounded very effective. But with only five of us, how could we stop them from taking the spot by force?’

Wen Zhi naturally noticed the change in her expression and had a good idea of what she was thinking. So, he said, "We’re outnumbered, so we’ll need to use some traps. Also, we’ll have to use the medicinal powder the Beast Mother specially prepared for me before we left the tribe."

"Alright, we’ll do it your way." Wen Yuehong spotted a location and quickly led the others toward it, urging, "This rain is coming down too fast. We need to hurry, or we might not make it in time."

"Got it, Sister Yuehong!"

The kids all responded in unison, their movements nimble as they followed her. Despite their young age, none of them lagged behind, which showed that they had learned the Step Technique from their Body Technique training really well.

Of course, this was something Chu Liangyu had intentionally focused on. Young cubs would be at a disadvantage in a real fight, but that didn’t mean they had to face it head-on.

That’s why, when you can’t win a fight, you have to be able to run away fast so you don’t get caught. Thus, practice in the Body Technique’s Step Technique and movement technique was essential.

Setting up traps wasn’t just physically demanding; it also required familiarity with the terrain, as well as some experience and strategic thinking.

Back when Wen Yan had left to find Chu Liangyu, Wen Yuehong was the only one who had stayed by Chu Liangyu’s side. The other cubs had been living with Wen Yan.

After the Beast Father left, they had to fend for themselves. Although some had already undergone Beastification, the heavy snows meant they still often failed to catch food.

Under these circumstances, they were forced to figure out trapping on their own. That was how they managed to survive until Chu Liangyu sent Jinling to pick them up.

Therefore, they all knew a bit about setting traps, but Wen Zhi was the most skilled among them.

"Ah Zhi, do you think this trap should be placed on the summit?"

"No, the original spot is fine."

They finished setting up the traps in less than a day. All that was left was to wait patiently.

Less than five days later, the White Tiger Clan made their move. They began organizing their tribe members to head for the highest peak in the region.

The five of them watched it all unfold. They couldn’t control their excitement at the thought of what was about to happen.

Wen Zhi’s gaze was fixed on the middle-aged man leading the crowd. He then said, slowly and deliberately, "Sister Yuehong, let’s not be hasty. We’ll make our move when their leader comes up."

The torrential downpour didn’t just affect daily life; it also caused riverbanks to burst and brought the threat of a great flood.

For Beastmen without wings, it was nothing less than a cataclysmic disaster.

The only thing they could do was continuously migrate to higher ground to ensure the tribe’s safety.

"Why is it you little cubs again?"

"Don’t block the path, or we won’t be so polite!"

When Yu Da saw the five familiar little faces, he frowned immediately. He waved his hands constantly, trying to shoo away the ones blocking the path.

"We really can help the females achieve Beastification. Won’t you please consider it?"

Wen Yuehong and the others only took a few steps back, but they remained on the path to the summit, showing no intention of moving aside.

"Not interested. We’re not interested."

Yu Da reached out to shoo them away but found he still couldn’t make them move. He got annoyed and said to the people behind him, "A few of you, come tie these five up for me. Since they don’t want to leave, then they can stay."

The four of them exchanged a look and, with extremely nimble movements, dodged the attempts to grab them. Instead, they weaved their way into the crowd, and just like that, the scene erupted into chaos.

In the chaos of the crowd, for a moment, no one even noticed that their clan chief had disappeared.

The five of them exchanged a look and ran toward the summit at the same time. Their pursuers didn’t think much of it and followed them.

With the troublemakers gone, the crowd gradually quieted down. But when they tried to continue forward, they discovered their leading clan chief was nowhere to be found.

Where the chief had been standing, there was only a hole leading somewhere unknown, too dark to see into.

Someone suggested going down to take a look, but others disagreed, feeling that getting to the summit was the top priority.

In the end, it fell to Yu Da to enter the hole to investigate the situation, while the others continued toward the summit.

Normally, they would have sent a formal search party, but that wasn’t an option now.

Not only was the area downhill flooded, but they also didn’t have the time.

Watching his clansmen leave, Yu Da felt a bit resentful, but he didn’t say anything and just leaped into the dark hole.

After entering, he found himself sliding uncontrollably down the tunnel. He tried to stop, but it was impossible because the tunnel was too slippery.

He didn’t know how long he’d been sliding when a light appeared ahead, easing his anxiety.

However, before he even got out of the tunnel, several shadows fell over him from above.

"Care to reconsider the matter of Beastification for the females and cubs?"

As they said this, the children stepped back a few paces, revealing several poisonous snakes hanging overhead. It was as if all the snakes would fall on him if he dared to say no.

Yu Da swallowed hard, his whole body stiffening. After a moment’s hesitation, he said, "I don’t have the final say on this. It’s up to the clan chief’s discretion."

"The chief? Oh, he’s already agreed."

Only then did Yu Da see the person sitting on a nearby rock, bound tightly with vines, slumping against the wall as if he had no bones.

The truth was, however, that he had been dosed with Soft Bone Powder and was currently drained of all his strength.

With the leader taken care of, all that remained were some Elders and others with significant influence.

And all those people were at the front of the tribe’s procession, right where they had set their traps to ensnare them.

Thus, the only ones left were some females and cubs—exactly the result they wanted.

"You went to all this trouble just so we would learn that Body Technique?"

A rather influential female stepped forward and voiced the question on her mind.

"That’s right. Don’t you want to be able to achieve Beastification yourselves, to have the same abilities as the male Beastmen?"

"Besides, your cubs are still young. If they learn this, they’ll be able to protect themselves."

They had wanted this all along. Now that they had the chance, of course they wouldn’t refuse.

"Alright, we’ll learn!"
