Chapter 2919: Chapter 109: Where Is This?

Harrison Lucas was bewildered to discover that what he was lying on was a soft, pure cotton... bed sheet? With a scent resembling disinfectant.

Hadn’t she and the young master fallen off a cliff? How could she be sleeping on a hospital bed with the smell of disinfectant!?

The texture of the bed beneath Harrison Lucas felt strange, and she wanted to open her eyes to look around, but she found she didn’t even have the strength to blink.

Harrison Lucas also wanted to prop up her arms, but sadly, she couldn’t even move a finger.

No matter how many times she tried, she couldn’t succeed, and ultimately, Harrison Lucas had to give up struggling.

She just lay there on the bed that seemed to be from a hospital, unable to open her eyes or hear any conversation around her, and even the burning pain in her left shoulder had entirely disappeared, like she had never been injured.

She lay there listening to the ’tick-tock, tick-tock’ sound of the medical instruments, almost drifting off to sleep when footsteps finally came from outside the door.

Harrison Lucas heard the door open, becoming more certain that she was in the hospital, in a private hospital room.

More than one person entered after opening the door, and Harrison Lucas could vaguely hear several different footsteps.

She wanted to open her eyes to see who it was, but no matter how hard she tried, she failed.

Just as she was getting a little anxious, a familiar voice came from beside the bed: "Be gentle, don’t fail."

It’s the young master!

Harrison Lucas felt a sense of joy upon hearing the man’s voice.

It seemed the young master was fine too, and had been rescued together with her.

Ben Lucas’s voice was as low and magnetic as usual, but right now his tone also carried an inherent authority without expressing anger.

Be gentle with what, and don’t fail at what?

Harrison Lucas was puzzled, then felt her left hand being gently and tenderly held.

Clearly, the person holding her hand was an exceptionally careful and gentle girl, but for some reason, the girl’s hands shook slightly as she held it.

Harrison Lucas was curious, but a few seconds later, she understood what the other person was about to do.

When her wrist was bound with a tourniquet and the trembling girl wiped iodine on the back of her hand, Harrison Lucas guessed the girl’s identity must be a nurse, who was about to give her an infusion.

But why were the nurse’s hands shaking while giving the infusion?

Just as Harrison Lucas found it strange, another slightly unfamiliar, clear and cold voice spoke from the side—

"Brother, your expression is so scary, and your tone is so fierce, you’ve frightened the nurse, how could she dare to give Harrison Lucas an injection?"

The only girls who could call Ben Lucas ’brother’ were Tiffany Lucas Lulu and Yana Lucas.

Harrison Lucas, lying on the hospital bed, immediately recognized the speaker’s identity from the cold tone that carried a hint of teasing.

The young lady Yana Lucas was here too!

Harrison Lucas was suspicious and couldn’t guess where Ben Lucas and she were now.

Ben Lucas’s cold voice spoke: "When Harrison Lucas was young, he was seriously ill, and the back of his hands were covered in needle marks. The nurse said his blood vessels were thin and difficult for injections, so every infusion took multiple attempts. Since then, ’he’ has been resistant to going to the hospital and hates injections."

It was an unexpected explanation out of nowhere.

The implication was that because Harrison Lucas feared hospitals and injections, Ben Lucas ordered the nurse administering the infusion to not only be cautious but also succeed on the first try.

Even though Harrison Lucas’s blood vessels were really thin and hard to hit, failure wasn’t an option.
