Chapter 492 | Resonance Coupling
Chapter 492: 492 | Resonance Coupling
Aurora’s head hit the desk. Papers crunched beneath her skull. The tie binding her wrists creaked as her body arched upward to take me deeper, and the skirt bunched between us in a grey accordion that neither of us bothered to remove because removal would require separation and neither of us was willing to lose a single centimeter of contact. Her heels locked behind my back. The stockings whispered against my bare skin.
I established a pace that sat between punishment and prayer. Each stroke buried me to the hilt and pulled back until she gasped, a rhythm I built from the specific frequency of Aurora’s breathing rather than any textbook. She was tighter than usual because forty minutes of self-inflicted torture had wound her body into a coil that my presence was systematically unwinding. I could feel her pulsing around me with each withdrawal, her body refusing to release what it had spent an hour wanting.
"Oh god." Aurora’s bound hands flexed behind her back, fingers curling against nothing. "Oh god, you absolute—"
I pulled her ponytail. Her head snapped back and her throat stretched long and pale beneath the ruined collar of the shirt. I kissed the pulse point beneath her jaw and felt her heartbeat hammering against my lips at a tempo that would worry a cardiologist.
"You watched Naomi." I spoke against her skin between thrusts. "On the beach. You watched me make her come three times."
Aurora made a sound that was not a word.
"And then you watched Belle. In the penthouse. You heard her scream through walls that the Sanctum built thick enough to dampen sound."
Another non-word. Her body clenched around me hard enough that my own rhythm faltered.
"And you sat there the entire time with your hand between your legs, unable to stop, unable to finish, because watching is not the same as having." I bit her earlobe and tugged. "Is it, Fitzgerald?"
"No." The word came out torn. Wrecked. Soaked in everything she’d been holding back since the party started. "No, it’s not the same, you smug piece of—"
I drove deep and held. Aurora’s body locked rigid. Her stockinged heels dug bruises into the small of my back and her teeth found my shoulder through the shirt and bit hard enough that I felt skin break. Euphoric Feedback converted the pain into a spike of pleasure that traveled my spine like an electric charge, and I groaned against her throat.
"Tell me what you want."
"You know what I want."
"I need to hear you say it."
Aurora’s green eyes opened. Even in the half-light of the damaged classroom, with her makeup smeared and her shirt destroyed and her twin ponytails coming undone from their ribbons, she was the most dangerous woman I had ever met. The woman who had orchestrated everything, who had placed Addison in my path and bought my clothes and organized this entire evening with the long-game patience of a general planning a campaign.
But she wasn’t a general right now. She was a girl tied to a desk with a red tie, getting exactly what she’d spent forty minutes fantasizing about, and the control she wore like a second skin had melted down to nothing.
"I want you to finish inside me." Aurora’s voice was barely above a whisper. "I want the buff. I want to feel it when the Gold settles into my mana channels. I want to walk into guild tryouts tomorrow with your essence still warm in my system and know that every ability I use for the next forty-eight hours runs on what you gave me tonight." Her legs tightened. Her body drew me deeper. "And I want you to make me come first. Because I’ve been good. I’ve been so good, Jace. I set this whole thing up and I let Naomi go first and I let Belle go second and I waited while you worshipped them because I love them and I love you and I deserve to be rewarded for my patience."
The word love landed in the space between us and sat there.
Aurora had never said it before. Not in Ventura. Not in the hotel. Not during any of the sessions where she dictated the terms and set the boundaries and maintained the fiction that this arrangement was recreational rather than meaningful. She had said she wanted me. She had said I was interesting. She had said she’d kill me if I died. But she had never, in eight weeks of strategic orchestration and deliberate vulnerability and midnight phone calls, said the word love.
I kissed her. She kissed back with a desperation that had nothing to do with the tie around her wrists and everything to do with the fact that she had just said something she couldn’t take back. The taste of her mouth carried all the flavors the graft had ever recorded from her body: strawberries, champagne, clean sweat, morning toothpaste from a Saturday in Ventura.
I reached behind her and untied the knot.
Aurora’s hands came free and immediately found my face. Both palms against my cheeks, fingers in my hair, holding me in a kiss that was half apology and half declaration. The red tie fell to the floor beside scattered papers and the fallen nameplate.
I picked up the pace. Aurora’s freed hands explored with frantic purpose, gripping my shoulders, pulling my shirt up, dragging nails across the scars on my chest, pressing flat against the graft pulsing beneath my sternum. Her legs squeezed. Her body arched. The desk creaked. Another fluorescent tube flickered as the resonance field swelled outward from where we were connected, expanding through the Sanctum’s walls and pressing against the boundaries of the pocket dimension itself.
I activated Euphoric Feedback at level nine and Sensory Hijack on taste simultaneously.
Aurora’s mouth flooded with the flavor of herself amplified tenfold, sweet and warm and the specific signature of arousal that her body produced when I did exactly this. She screamed against my lips. The sound vibrated through my skull and traveled down my spine and hit the base of the graft where the divine frequency lived, and the graft sang.
Aurora came with her hands on my face and her legs locked around my waist and my name repeated like a prayer that nobody taught her. The first orgasm ripped through her hard enough that milk erupted from both breasts in jets that soaked through my shirt and hit the blackboard behind us in white patterns that dripped toward the chalk tray. The desk slid six inches across the tile floor. Papers fell. The clock on the wall stopped working.
